Spool tension knob set at the factory, is simply not true. I bought the SV100, right out of the box, had to turn it a full turn to the right. A friend of mine bought one a month before I did, his was tightened down way too much. People need to realize, the point Daiwa was trying to make (marketing their “zero adjust knob”) is that when you get the reel dialed in to your liking, the brake knob is the only thing that needs to be adjusted during normal use (across different lure weights, wind conditions, etc). Don’t trust the factory adjustment on the tension knob, they are not setting that for you (the user adjusts this before first use), there should only be a tiny amount of spool play.

These 3/4” leg / chair tips work great. I saw this as one of the only common complaints on this kayak before I bought it so I got these before I even took it out on the water. Some people online use cane tips or others but these seem to work great and did not require any trimming. I bought them at Menards for $1.99.

Used the magdraft a bit, they are my highest producing for numbers out of the bunch of 6 in swimbaits on the market. However, my favorite is probably the loaded bass mafia daingerous. It is pretty similar to the magdraft, but with the line through it lasts longer for me. Maybe I had back to back duds on the magdraft, but the internal system kept ripping out the bait. I wasn't using a crazy set up either. A heavy modfast rod that I use often for chatterbaits. Another bait I am interested in, but haven't tried, is the Shadtron LT by zman. I am sure that thing will last forever being a line through and made of elaztech.

I was just gonna go pick one of those up, never used one yet, but you’re supposed to cast it out reel it in probably slowly, jerk/twitch it a bit, let it sit for like 10 seconds, reel slowly, jerk/twitch, pause, repeat

Just started using them Myself. Quick 1-2foot tip movement, then let er sit for 2-3 seconds. Repeat. Sometimes I'll add in a slow darty retrieve for a couple feet as well.

1st catch on a jerkbait! Not a bass, but it’s something! I haven’t figured these lures out at all. Feel free to leave suggestions, I don’t know the proper way to twitch the rod tip quite yet.

Berkley cullshad is more of slow roll retrieve just like the magdraft, harnessed swimbaits are notorious for needing to be retrieved slowly and that will mitigate the side rolling. Hence the whole idea behind the final copy and why it is so heavy so that it can withstand faster retrieves.

Your right about the cull shad, they run a little sideways. That strikeking is way better at swimming level.

I actually took the hook holder and hook off my recalled 6inch Berkley cullshad and put it on this and its pure 🔥. Sinks fast and and easier hook ups. Plus the hook lock piece allows u to put the hook back.

I wanted to give a quick update. I filmed this video last week and just got back out again today to fish with this lure. I caught three bass on it in less than an hour. All three were hooked up great and the lure is performing very well. I definitely plan on ordering more of these in the future! The lure has held up very well with the first three bass caught so far. I’m using the 4.75” pearl color one.
