If I could humbly add: not only is the upfront cost very attractive, the maintenance costs compared to traditional mobile X-Ray systems is exceptionally low. IMHO thats why traditional X-Ray retailers like to sell the traditional mobile systems because they make huge bank from maintenance and parts … the new Micro-X system is virtually maintenance free.

wow almost as good as my knockoff ge vscan air which only cost half the price and has no subscription lol. imo phased array diode/silicon type probes will always be cardiac focused and will never have the same durability and resolution as og piazo ceramic ones. insane they charge a subscription... like who actually owns stuff anymore

Australia once had car making industry. Now all gone. Micro X set up in the defunct Mitsubishi factory in South Australia, I gather employing ex auto workers to manufacture these machines.

Your opening statement was spot on. EMS is a truly rewarding career, as I've found out over the past 25 years. Question from an Australian paramedic-how does pay and training compare between different EMS providers? Our EMS structure here is very different. We have just once ambulance service per state, and in most jurisdictions they're state government owned. As a result, an ambulance station 500 miles away will have the same style of ambulance with the same equipment, and paramedics with the same skills and pay rate as here. Private emergency ambulances are technically illegal, as are EMT level staff and we don't have crews attached to any FD.
