Do you still have this rod and reel combo? How's the Californian CBX rod holding up? They still sell these at Turner's and they seem to be the exact same blank and guides as the Phenix Feather except with a different reel seat and grip furniture. Phenix Feathers are popular rods but they are known to break. So the Californian CBX seems to be $20-30 cheaper than the Phenix feather and has a better rod replacement warranty.

What type of a-rigs are those? How are they rigged? How many hooks? Braid? Mono? Flouro?
They are Picasso School-E rigs, the best rigs on the market! In california you are only allowed three hooks so that is what we were using. I'm using Seaguar Flouro spooled on a daiwa coastal 200 and a dobyns champion xp.
