Time to Upgrade | R7 5700X3D
It's been five and a half years, and it's finally time to start upgrading some PC parts. Starting with the CPU and ram. From an AMD Ryzen 5 3600x to an R7 5700X3D, also 32gb of ram to 64gb.
Overall it cost me $300 US and I'm pretty satisfied. This video was rendered in 4K at 24fps, and finished in 7-minutes and 30-seconds.

Herobrine Sighting #2 | Minecraft Xbox: Odd Sounds Deep Dive Continued

Today we take a look at the second visual Herobrine sighting that was shown through the Odd Sounds Saga. Originally I thought this one was going to be extremely difficult to come to a conclusion on. However, after some more thinking, experimenting, and digging with how the game works, I view on this sighting has actually changed. Let me know what you think! Are they real?... I still want to continue the analysis and discussion of the Odd Sounds series of videos featuring visual sightings of Herobrine. The original still has me skeptical, but there is more to look at that will favor these videos being real. Together, we'll solve this mystery.

Come nerd out with me. What sample rate do you prefer? I find 48kHz to be a happy medium between quality and file size. It keeps a slight bit of grit, which I like, whereas 96kHz and 192kHz seem to smooth out that little bit of grit.

Somehow I failed to mention this occurrence in my Odd Sounds Deep Dive video. While it doesn't feature a visual sighting of Herobrine, or an unseen door opening sound effect like in the original Odd Sounds, it does show a rather strange glitch of some sort where I receive damage from an invisible force. I do remember seeing a similar event happen to someone on TH-cam while the game was in TU3, ...

I have some ideas for vids to make, but I got some real life stuff I gotta focus on at the moment. Plus in all honesty I'm not sure what I want this channel to be lol. The video on Odd Sounds was the main one I wanted to make. Didn't really think beyond that. Editing and making thumbnails is fun though, so I'll keep some things in the works. More complicated things will come, but for now, enjoy...

Deep Dive Into The Most Obscure Herobrine Sighting | Minecraft Xbox: Odd Sounds

This video has been many years in the making. Originally, I planned on having my own evidence of the existence of Herobrine in the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft. After seeing the, infamous to me, Odd Sounds video, I was pretty dead set on having a similar experience. Perhaps one day that dream can still come true. But for now, here is my analysis of the original sighting, which I am still kind ...

I'm running a 5800x3d paired with a 4070 super and a 650w PSU, no problems whatsoever 👌
Thanks for this video. I have a gtx 1080ti and i7 - 7800x. I game in 1080p and do livestreaming. Would this 5700X3D be a good upgrade for me ?
I just installed my new 5700x3d yesterday, replacing my 5600x. With a 6900xt at 1440p, I've gained 30fps on both average and lows in COD and I no longer stutter while streaming. Definitely worth it.
Congratulations on the upgrade! I've had it since last November, and it cost me approximately $216. I'm also running it on a motherboard with the B450 chipset. Specifically the ASUS TUF GAMING B450-PLUS II. Now the processor costs approximately $246. Here in the Czech Republic, it's just expensive. :( Cinebench 2024 test: multicore 753 points, single core 83 points with undervolting -26. I probably have fewer points because of the motherboard, but synthetic tests aren't valid for this CPU anyway. Gaming benchmarks would be better.
I just ordered a 5700X3d but I wonder if it will work on my b550 board with E7C56AMS.AIO bios 07/13/2024
damn bro you're cheap lol
Money don’t grow on trees. I don’t use my PC enough to warrant a bigger upgrade either
@the_over_thinker_ lol yeah man I agree.
WITH THAT 650 WATT PSU U CAN EASILY PUT A RTX 4070 OR RADEON RX 7700 XT
GOTCHA, THANK YOU
If you dont game that much why not go with the 5800x instead? The 5700x3d base clock is 3ghz and barely gets up to 4ghz. The 5800x you can overclock it to 4.7ghz. The 5700x3d is so dang slow bro. Im sending mine back and getting the 5800x. For gaming the 5700x3d is okay but i play fortnite with my boys and even though im getting 280fps in 1440p, and the cpu is max at 100% at 3.89 ghz. I dont know dude. For gaming it is a lot faster than my 2700x but to me it just feels slower for everything else. Im glad you are enjoying it.
I went full AMD for my recent build 7600x3d and 7600 xt GPU, amazing combo all built for less than 1200 usd
I upgraded from a 2600x that would always run at like 100 degrees, huge upgrade for gaming
It's just too old
What do you think the bottleneck would be on a 5700x3d? Thinking about upgrading from a 2060 to 5080
Went from a 1600x to a 5700x3d, safe to say it was a decent upgrade 😁
I sidegraded to the 5700x3d from a 5800x. The biggest difference is the .1 fps is higher so my games feel way smoother.
hey just wanted to check you said you need a new power supply for a new graphics card? the 1070 ti that you use has a tdp of 180w, a 4070 i.e. has a tdp of 200w. i strongly doubt you need a new PS for 20w more tdp. the 5700x3d paired with a 4070 is a strong combo. but if you only play older games anyway it doesnt matter i guess.
Your last sentence is my philosophy at this point. I don’t have an interest in spending the money right now in that when I won’t see an immediate benefit
There are many new cards that have a rating well below 650watts even a 1440p gpu like a rtx 4070 recommended psu is 650watts
Just upgraded my 5700g to the 5700x3d 🎉
650W is really capable, you could afford to run a 4070 SUPER
I just went from a R 5 3600 with 16GB ram and GTX 1080 FTW2 to a R7 5700x with 64GB ram and RTX 4080 super on an ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus Wifi 2 motherboard, I am very very happy with the results and do not see myself upgrading anytime soon. I play on an ultrawide 3440x1400 LG OLED G39 monitor and get anywhere from 135 to 295+ FPS depending on what game I am playing at the time!!!! Great video by the way!!!!!
@@michaeldejesus7576 the 3600 is legendary I feel like every am4 user bought one. I did back in 2020 and I only replaced it in 2023 when my workloads changed, I am still using it to run MacOS on it, still going strong
I just made myself a build with 5700x3d and rx 7700 xt. I wanted to get the rtx 4060 ti for better encoding but that card is simply too bad for everything else.I do like to play some new AAA games and i still see no need for am5 for now. I am waiting for am6
I'm on the same boat, I'm upgrading from an AMD 2700x. To me, it's just wild that I can still purchase components that are up to today's specs with a motherboard that is about 7 years old. While I think the 5700X3D will be the last upgrade for the AM4 platform (personally), it's amazing I was able to get about 10 years from every other component. I feel like for the past 20 or so years, everytime I put a PC together within 3 years or so it was completely obsolete! Can't wait! Just upgraded my bios last night to make sure I can just pop in the chip and I'm G2G.
what are your idle temperatures?. i have like 60-70 C°, and i dont know if its normal in this cpu because my system cooler is very good
That is not normal mate as my idle temperature is 36c with the 5700x3D and i just use a 30€ arctic freezer 36 with a 4000D corsair case i bought on sale for 70€. aswell my ambient temp is 18c.
i have a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cpu cooler and i get this temps, i dont know what to do, everything seems fine
@@canasdruid Either cheap thermal paste or a bad set-up for airflow in the case. I have a friend in germany who literally has it's temps skyrocket since the case circulates the hot air.
@@timonenluca4live my case is literally perfored mesh, and my paste is artic mx4, still have this problem
you cuold use 4060ti I got it my self rly good for your situation I also got 650wpcu
the 7800X3D was heavily discounted over the black friday/holiday sale period as well as during the release period of the 9800x3d. Grandpa, you were very unthoughtful to buy a 5700 and then shamelessly make a video about it. Take the L
Unthoughtful of you to not understand some people aren't made of money or they don't need the power those brand new parts can provide. Going to 7000 or 9000 would take an entire new system. This was a cost effective upgrade that gives me benefits I already see. And take the L? The views and likes speak otherwise. I didn't expect this video to pop off like this.
@@the_over_thinker_ I will just take this production as some kind of pitty pr0n and pray that the kids learn about value and future proofing instead of having a little cry watching a man who claims to think yet belives he has struck gold with this 2019 esque upgrade.
@@user-ft7ce8hq9d Then make your own videos and educate us. I didn't tell anyone to buy anything in this video. This is only my experience with an upgrade.
@@the_over_thinker_bro’s just butthurt you got some views. Keep doing you man
@@user-ft7ce8hq9dyou’re worried about kids learning about value when building a PC yet he chose a part that does exactly that based on his motherboard. Proper money management and getting the most out of what you have is a bigger lesson than dumping tons of money on specs you don’t need
what gpu will you pair with it?
I'm undecided as of now. The 1070 Ti really is fine but I know this chip has much more potential. Maybe a 7800XT? Maybe a 4070? Something in the mid-to-high tier
Still running a 970 from 2025 for poe2, it does maps at 12-24fps 😅 Hopefully upgrading my whole setup this year
Dude max your monitors refresh rate it isnt going to damage it haha, these things are ment to be run at their sold specs
That’s a common misinterpretation I’ve seen in the comments. I know it doesn’t “hurt” or “damage” the parts. What I meant by prolong is that those parts will be capable of pushing a consistent 100hz as opposed to 144hz. Meaning upgrading isn’t necessary for longer. When set 144 I would notice some stutters and dips here and there. Cruising at 100hz feels better to me
you could easily upgrade to a 4060ti or perhaps 5060 when it comes out and if it has similar power draw as the 4060,
boss let me gee this straight you bought an x3d chiip which has slower clocks and is meant for gaming because you don't game that much and need it for work OK god it great idea, uk you could have bought a 5800x for cheaper which is also better at production.
Work = this TH-cam channel, and I still game here and there just not as often as I did as a teenager. I’m satisfied with my purchase for the price
Hey I use the 5700x3d and I have it paired with a 7800xt. I ALSO have a 650w psu with it and have 0 problems. If you truly wanted to upgrade you would be fine as long as you didn’t jump to like a 4080 or something crazy high end
Loving my 5700x3D ❤ massive improvement to City Skylines which I play the most 😂 the 5600 gave me massive stutters in that game. Handed it down to my sister along with my RX 5600XT. Now I use my old R5 3600 + GTX 960 for work 😊 and 5700x3D for games ❤
I’ll have to try it out with City. Haven’t touched that one in a while
keep up the videos please
Vegas pro works fine for me. I got a ryzen 5600x and works well. 32gb ram and no issues .
What version do you run my man? Probably not Vegas 15 if it works that well lol
I was running a 5700x3D and 6800xt with evga gt 650 for months but got a good deal on 1000w so I upgraded to that . I had the 6800xt oc and undervoted . That uses more than the 7800xt
HAHAHAHA The Vegas part is so REAL. Vegas pro user here! I thought I am the only one who's experiencing frequent crashes and pressing ctrl + s every 5 seconds
Tell me about it man, lol. Maybe if I stop ignoring the “upgrade to Vegas PRO (whatever number)” it’ll stop as much. But I don’t post enough stuff to feel good dropping the dough. Cash can be tight these days
@@the_over_thinker_ True. It is expensive yeah, I have Vegas 18 and my CPU is an i7 from 2013 (Xeon E3-1270 v3). So that might be the reason why
As an engineer at AMD your video makes me smile. We want our customers to be happy at all price points!
Thank you sir. I was looking into some video cards from the red team also. Haven’t made a decision yet. A couple months will pass before I do, most likely. Cheers for delivering great products geared for the average folk out here!
You'll need a new gpu cos starting this year RAY F TRACING is a must in every games. urgghh...
I went from i5 3570 and gtx 1050ti and when Vega came out i spent 1500 on a pc with Ryzen 2600x and Vega 64 which was £600 on its own lol biggest mistake of my life I sold that pc 7-8 months later built something for £300 with a 4790k which i overclocked to 4.8ghz paired with 2x8gb ddr 3 and 2133mhz later I sold that and for the money purchased a Z390 mobo and a i5 8600k which i managed to overclock to 5.1ghz pairing it with RTX 2080 all in all cost me less than my original system with Vega 64 and it performed miles ahead of it and don't even get me started on issues with Ryzen compared to intel I have no come across any problems 0 blue screens 0 crashes in games or stupid ram compatibility problems ever since I stuck with intel and after less than 6 or so months bought brand new i9 9900k for £300 just before 10th gen came out kept that pc for Nearly two years before I ended up selling it all and moved to full console because I realised I only played World of Warcraft and when I stop I never needed a pc anymore lol. Last September I came back to wow for Cataclysm I Build a system for under £200 with a Asus Prime H310 i5 8400 RX 580 and 2x8GB DDR4 3200mhz CL14 running at motherboards max 2666mhz with lower timings at CL12 plays world of Warcraft at 7/10 Preset with locked 60fps at 1080p my last ever pc build because once I stop I wont be wasting anymore money on computers when I have a LG C3 and Series X :D
Just set that monitor to 144hz... Will last exactly the same as if you were using it at 100 hz... you don't preserve your parts either. I know someone that have an XL2411Z 144hz since 2014 and is still running perfect, along with his i5 4460 and gtx 960. xD
I know the parts won’t literally die. I meant prolong in the sense that it will have an easier time pushing a consistent 100hz for longer as opposed to 144hz. Therefore upgrading can be put off longer
love love love this cpu! am4 will last forever with this little beast.
AM4 has been a brilliant platform for me. I switched from a Z70 that started as a 3rd gen i5 but ended up stuck for much of it's life as a 4th gen i7. I bought a B450 Tomahawk Max PCB because a friend was upgrading their 1700 to a 3700X back in Nov 2019 and sold me the 1700 for 80 Quid. By the time I sold the PCB, DDR3 and SATA M2 drive I more or less got the upgrade for the £100 I paid for the board. Faster core for core chip than the i7 and 8 of 'em, DDR4 and an NVMe, blew me away with how much faster the computer was for so little money spent. I've only replaced the CPU once so far, I swapped the Zen part for an R5 5500, it was about 100 quid a year and a half ago. I have upped the RAM to 32GB since, and added more SS storage. Oh, and one of those cheap Thermalright tower coolers (it's all you need up to 8 cores on AM4, especially on the 3D chips). I have been thinking of one of these chips, as my computer's final Pokemon evolution to just keep me ticking over until I get a look at AM6.
Hey uh man you got a new sub AKA me!
I'm on i7 8700k+gtx1080 rn and thinking about upgrading to 5700x3d and cheapest mobo I can find (spending around 270€ for both). Many friend suggest me to go directly to am5 without 3d but I insist that, as I play mainly Tarkov, it's almost crucial to have 3d. What do you think?
Using a 5700g + 64GB OC 3933MHz RAM, and will be skipping the AM5/DDR5 generation completely and at best would get a cheap ryzen 7 laptop with DDR5 3 years down the line which obviously is going to be equal to the 8700g. I do not think I have any more needs/wants than what the 5700g provides.
Gave my brother my old 5600x and swaped to a 5800x3d last year and Im really happy with the preformance for the little amout of cash invested. Hope to keep using it with good results for atleast 2 more years :)
I just upgraded from 5600 + RTX 2070 + 16GB to 5700X3D + RTX 4070 + 32GB! Prolonging my rig as much as possible
Watched this twice. Presentation, delivery, very no nonsense. Glad you're getting an influx of views! Cheers!
You’re too kind. Thank you
Actually... 650W is perfectly doable on a newer card. Im running of a 650w PSU with a 5700X3D and a 7800XT at 4K and runs pretty well.
I upgraded from a 3700X to 5700X3D earlier this year and the upgrade in games especially 1% lows was HUGE, stuttering eliminated, later in the year I upgraded from 5700XT to 4070 Super and 16gb to 32gb ram, now that upgrade was immense, the 4070 Super uses exactly the same power as the 5700XT (220w) and even lower undervolted (well under 200w) with no loss in performance, I used my old parts to upgrade my stepsons PC which he only uses for Fortnite and Football/F1 manager with the 3700X and 5700XT, gotta love AM4's longevity. Great video, good luck with your channel. 👍
