Both Dishonored 1 & 2 are awesome titles which a lot of gamers don't seem to be familiar with. Here i'm revisiting the 2nd one with some walkthrough highlights....this part is the intro section, escaping from Dunwall Tower.
The best part of the game is the 'play how you want' style, with lots of scope for creativity, and multiple paths through levels. The freedom and control options are great, as is the level design which is a fully 3d (up/down not just side-to-side) and non-linear...The AI is solid, the collectibles and secrets are plentiful...and the graphics still hold up really well. I think it's one of the best first person games of the last decade.
The abilities are a mash-up of kinetic weapons and magic, in a steampunk, alternative-Victorian (Tartarian?!) world ...blending subtle elements of humanity with a serious, dark dystopian vibe (and realistic violence). The cherry on top being its interesting spiritual themes (which seem to take a lot of inspiration from real research).
This is just a warm-up....Stay tuned for more of the walkthrough! This is a new game+, where I'll probably be going for the low chaos ending. Which is a little sad, as high chaos can be very satisfying :O Let's see...
