Great backdrop and sound. Just curious. Which beach?
Cayucos. Central coast of CA 💛🌊
These simple yet effective movements are super! I do these daily and my sciatica is diminishing day by day. This is really good.
Anything is worth an effort.😐
Thank you

Thank you 🙏 ❤
With a bulge disc will these exercises help free the Sciatic nerve?
Yes. If you have strong neurological symptoms you may also need medical management. Movement is good medicine for disc bulges. Go slow and best to get competent medical advice if you feel things are not gradually improving over time.
Thank you for the vlog... Sir
Hi! I find these Tai Chi movements really helpful! I combine them with my yoga and Qi Gong practice. I would like to ask how many times would you advice to repeat each exercise? Is there even a limit? Also, are the feet aligned in the same line on the floor? Thank you so much doctor! 🙌🏻🤩
Listen to your body as you look for how many repetitions for each movement. Some you may do more or less than others. Tai Chi can be most effective when done in the 50-70% effort range
Thank you Thank you Thank you... Even if these are ineffective, still practicing this will settle the running mind, gives a positive outlook. If this works and effective, it is worth thousand dollars.
Blessing to you in the pursuit of health and well-being
This is my first time venturing into Tai Chi. I really like your video and the way you are demonstrating the movements. I'm in my early seventies and I'm not too much into exercising, but I'm sure I can handle Tai Chi, and will love doing it on a regular basis .... in the way you have beautifully demonstrated it. Thank you.
Frances, thank you for the kind feedback. Blessings to you in your health journey
Love This. Thank you, Dr. Pauline.
wave hands like clouds classic.
Hi doc., first time im watching your channel, actually I'm learning Tai chi but I came here to get rid of my piriformis syndrome. I started getting this worst pain when I fell down, now it's been more than a year ,seen so many docs but no use
Lots of things can help piriformis syndrome. What have you noticed with this practice as it relates to your piriformis syndrome?
@@robertpaulinept ya I'm facing the same symptoms from long...but now I'm getting better. But sometimes the pain kills me. A couple of months before I struggled so much with this pain.. and thanks for the videos. You are doing amazing 👏
Twist your spine with sciatica plus deep squats 😱 Yeah right 🙄 Rename this - How to worsen your injury.
You have a point when it comes to acute pain. I am cautious to explain in the video this movement progression is for persistent or chronic conditions. I wish you well in your personal health journey.
There is so much conflicting information about treating sciatica it's difficult to know what the best treatment is , in other videos doctors say the very thing this guy is doing will only exacerbate the problem, they say bending over in any way or squatting is the worst thing you can do
As with everything on the internet it takes an element of discernment and real research. Clinically we see people respond differently too. Be curious with your body and observe how you respond. Don’t give up on all movement based therapy if you don’t respond well to one. Watch out for people who say they have the one right approach. Blessings to you in your health journey.
Can you get fatigue from siatic pains ??
Yes, I had sciatic inflammation for 10 years and just recently I discover my solution which was very simple and practical , once I had relief I started to have a LOT more energy thru the day ...
Pain can lead to fatigue also. Begin by moving slowly, conserving energy, nurturing your body and not pushing thru things rather engaging with life with wisdom and compassion for your healing body. Healing can take time. Learn the life lessons that the body is prepared to teach you
I did two or three of these. Felt good. Will do more as I go. ❤ They was easy to do.
I’m glad you enjoyed the practice of Tai Chi
I have practiced tai chi for 25 years and have greatly enjoyed its many benefits. However, I have found Somatics to be more effective in treating sciatic pain, in fact more effective than doctors, chiropracters, etc.
Hi, what is somatics ..? Thank u
PERFECT. I just had a student ask for qigong for sciatica. The complaint was, "I cannot get on the floor for stretches," 90% of all the vids here today were floor work, so this is PERFECT. Thank you.
Glad to share something alternative to floor work. Blessing to you and your students.
I agree! Sometimes my ankle hurts so much I couldn’t even do figure 4. These standing gentle movements are just what I need and can handle. Thank you Robert!
Dr. Pauline, lots of golden cosmic coins are going to your Dharma account because all the good you do to people thru your videos. Thanks.
I appreciate the sentiment of this comment even though I’m unfamiliar with this cosmic currency. Blessings to you for your kindness.
Hi Dr Pauline. I just 'discover' you on TH-cam. I have some ciatic discomfort. I'll do your recommending rutine of excercises. I like the atmosphere you create with the music and your warmth/soothing tone of voice. This is day 1, I'll try to report regularly. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully you’re doing it regularly and can feel the improvements in mobility, strength, and mental clarity.
Bend over with sore back.¿ Fear I love to hear you, not the music., but…
Fear can be a major element of chronic pain, especially spine pain. Move gently but regularly thru those movements you are fearful of. The guidance of a competent physical therapist can be valuable as you work thru restoring movement and getting back to confident living.
