Why wasnt Ash invited?!😢
Wow gorgeous! But I can see how touristy it is.
Yeah super crowded but luckily it’s large so there’s plenty of space. Didn’t realize Iceland had other hot springs too. Will have to check those out next time. Do you know of any in WA or OR? I only know of one near my parents on Stevens Pass.
Well I'm from Cut Bank so it looks like Norm on the reservation and you don't have any snow yet evidently......
Me living on that mountain: HEY THATS WHERE I LIVE
Thanks for the invite…😢
Ash, it’s because you’re watchlisted in the EU.
Awesome you got more lessons this summer! And so jealous that it gets warm enough on the East coast to not have to wear a wetsuit. I need to move away from the PNW lol.
Yeah the ocean finally warms up here in August and September! I just surfed a couple weeks ago and only needed a 1mm. I’ve surfed Thanksgiving in a 3/2, but sometimes you have to wear a 5/4 into May 🥶 If you’re ever in the DC area hit me up so we can surf!
@@NefariaAdventures One of my surf buddies lives in DC and I've been meaning to make a trip up there, maybe next year. So if I do i'll hit you up!
Good job making the best of the conditions! Being in the water is always good regardless. Fun to get a new board - looks fun! I've had people help too. I either kindly say "well it's not desire or knowledge lacking it's more 76 years of living!". Or when told "I know a really good surf instructor" I say "when I started in 1962 there weren't any surf instructors". They are all well meaning people trying to be kind - San Onofre is always so mellow! I "surf" for the exercise, stoke and just plain fun without concern for what others may think - age has helped with that LOL! When the interval is only a few seconds I've had to call it but you still got some rides at least! I hope your ribs heal quickly! Been there and done that & know it takes a while to heal. Stay safe & have fun!
That’s a good outlook! Yeah love any chance to get into the water. Good comeback with the 1962 comment - I bet you have some interesting surf stories from then! Did you use a wooden surfboard in the 60’s? Thanks, luckily the foam board didn’t do much damage so the bruises faded after a week :)
Fun Noodles make good protectors if not too thick.- plumbing insulation foam too. Pretty good sized board quiver there!
That’s right they do! I had sliced noodles on top of my old Jeep as some budget-friendly roof rack padding :) And thanks! They are some fun boards.
Glad to see you beck on the surf skate!
Yes it’s so fun! I’m rusty though
I saw the WRV logo and thought you were probably from VB. I’m not from VB, but I visit to surf during the summer. I saw someone on the beach who really looked like you, and I thought I might ask if it was you. So I asked, ‘Are you the one with the TH-cam channel?’ Of course, that's the perfect question for a stranger to ask, so the girl was like, ‘What?’ But eventually, I realized, oh, that's not her, and I told her that she looked like someone I follow on TH-cam. Kind of embarrassing, but I thought, what are the chances that I just randomly saw you on the beach so I had to ask? lol
Hey! So I am the one who should be embarrassed - so sorry! That was actually me; I had never run into a subscriber before and was a but startled/shocked, so my first instinct was to deny it was me. Sorry, I don’t know why I did that. Hope you had fun surfing regardless! I see we have the same Softech board. Did you get yours from WRV?
@@NefariaAdventures Hey, no worries! I actually think that’s hilarious and I’m glad I asked! I got it from the VB surf sessions. I think I’m done surfing for now until next summer, but if we cross paths again, I’ll be sure to say hi!
Apparently I’ve been spelling “Amalfi” Coast wrong this whole time lol…
Great title 😆
Haha
I wish I can leave there, so beautiful
You need to turn your feet at an angle and rotate your chest more forward. Bring your right hand and shoulder forward. Bend your knees more...bend your right knee even more. Bring your knees closer together. Don't bend at the waist. Bend at your knees. Please don't surf like that. You are suffering from poo stance. It's an easy fix! Good luck! 🙂
Lol thanks - I surf worse than this I think 🙃
When I retired and moved to my current house the driveway and parking are turned out to be perfect to practice on my skateboard. The problem was the palm trees drop hard seeds big enough to jam my conventional wheels & send me tumbling. I found a Carv board that is much bigger and has pneumatic tires that aren't affected by the usual debris and would practice a daily routine to help with balance & flexibility for surfing - a great help. Have fun an stay safe!
Oh yeah that can be a problem! I tried skating on a conventional skateboard a couple times and was thrown from it when it hit a crack 😂 Love the larger wheels on the Carve. And thanks!
Brrrrrr! I thought my 4/3mm suit was heavy..... Looks like some nice little waves but a strong current can wear you down quickly. Great that you solved the Hoffa mystery though LOL! That area looked a lot like some of California north of Santa Barbara. Stay safe out there!
The 5/4 mm keeps me pretty warm but it takes about 10 minutes to put on lol. Yeah the current can wear you out pretty fast unfortunately. I was lucky to even catch a wave. And thanks! I’ve never been to Santa Barbara, but it looks beautiful
That actually looked like a decent day at Seaside! I’ve attempted to surf there 3 times with no luck haha. Also, don’t know if you went into Fort George brewery, but my husband says it’s haunted. He witnessed 2 glasses just fall off the shelves for no reason and the bartender confirmed there was a ghost 😂
That’s good to know! My best friend lives in Portland and said Seaside is known for having rough water. Yeah 0:43 we went into the fort George brewery, but we sat on the roof patio. No 👻 spotted luckily!
Also, that’s terrifying about the glasses! I have heard footsteps in my office in the late evenings when no one was there; found out that our building is on top of what was once an old Civil War hospital/burial site (hopefully the bodies were moved once construction started).
Omg bruh browning drivers piss me off the way they drive 🤦🏽♂️
The way the guy was driving prior to this made us think he was drunk.
This lil boy took charge when the adult all yelling. And the lady saying not what u do? Next time you take charge! Bless his heart ❤
I think that was his older sister
Yeah, coke is obviously better.
Lol
No way I could sleep in the car or camper in the middle of the woods by myself in the dark my imagination would run too wild. I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Probably saw too many serial killer, movies, and videos.
Yeah I kept thinking of all the horror movies! I’m definitely bringing a dog or two next time.
Very nice👌💚
yes it was :)
I've been on my own for so long I'm pretty used to it but I expect being in the woods in the dark & in the open would take getting used to too. Some beautiful forest there - glad you did it! Stay safe out there!
Thanks! Yeah I will have to bring one of my dogs next time.
Tip for solo female camping: Get a well used straw cowboy hat, a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a tin of RedMan tobacco chew and set it in the dashboard of your truck when you park and set up camp.
Good idea
It’s a gladiator, not a real truck
@@windex77 And your point is?
@@windex77 the bed was a bit too short to be practical, but I enjoyed it as a rental. My best friend referred to it as a “mullet truck”, which seems pretty accurate.
Nice!!👍💗💗💗
Thank you 🤗
IM FROM THERE
My cousin-in-law is too
Kaaaa...Booom! Dinner time!
Lol
Ahhh, the legendary rez dog
Definitely street smart!
Looks like he's part Australian cattle dog, too, & heelers are very intelligent
Great, thanks for the video!
Thanks, love checking out swimming holes!
Nothing like a good swimming hole!
for sure!
Almost! Your way works too, but you may want to get it as close to the surface as possible. The top piece goes in first-straight. Just press hard on it, and the channels should sink into the board with no turning. The bottom piece is then screwed in. I have th same board btw and the same mount.
thanks!
Where in the world is this waterfall please if you can share that information. The way those trees are laid on those stones in the beginning of this. It just reminded me of how a Bigfoot would lay trees over something to mark the territory to say do not pass. So I was wondering what country you’re in?
Hi, it's in the US!
Woah that looks like a squirrel/chipmunk hybrid
Looks good. Have fun💚
Thanks!
Very nice. Can I park a trailer there for 6 months or do DNR Nazis routinely patrol through there?
Nah the limit is 14 days
Bahh…. See in the desert you can be left alone. Problem is that sun beats on your trailer roof all day. Would be nice to find somewhere with some shade.
Beautiful👌
Thank you 😊
I only visited Washington once and only for a day (meeting at Boeing). I never would have dreamed any part of the state looked like this! A lot of volcanic activity there obviously. Interesting trip and I hope everyone up there survives the fire and their properties are spared. You definitely made lemonade on this one! Hope you all stay safe!
Yep Eastern Washington (other side of the Cascade Mountain Range from Seattle) is a high desert environment due to all the rain from the Pacific Ocean being blocked by the mountains - also why Western Washington is so wet. The cultures on each side of the state are vastly different, too. And thank you! A cousin of mine had some minor damage to his property, and another cousin got pretty sick from smoke inhalation (from the wildfire), but other than that, no serious injuries or deaths. Some houses were lost, but not too many, since it's sparsely populated in the area.
is it going to look like this on monday?
Crowded? Most likely, though the weekends are especially bad. The waves are forecasted to be 3-4 feet strong Bethany Beach tomorrow.
@@NefariaAdventures just trying to figure out whether to bring bodyboard or SUP. Cant use the long board on fast hollow waves breaking right into the sand which seems to be mostly what DE produces
@@joenottoast yeah unfortunately. Probably better for bodyboarding, though that can be violent too lol
Cool Drone Shots!
Thanks! 👍

I really need to get one of these. I carry so much water. Beautiful sound there.
They are great to have! Yes, love the sound of trickling water.
We surfed Doheny today. The water dropped from 70 a couple of weeks ago to around 64 so a little chilly in shorties but nothing like the cold water up there! Every trip my son in law says all I need is one wave & I'm happy. He always gets more but great way to look at it. We were expecting small weak waves on a high tide but as usual it turned out great. Funny how low expectations often yield great results! Rented equipment with great results! Your surf school served you well! Glad you had a great day too! Are you going after Ben Gravy's record surfing 50 states?
Oh nice! A little cold for sure; you are brave to wear the shorties :) Yes funny how having low expectations usually works out 😂 Nah, not going for the surfing 50 states goal, but I would like to surf every coastal state (except maybe Louisiana). I also try to surf in every country I visit, provided it has waves.
@@NefariaAdventures Soul surfer! The cool water temp was offset by the heat wave we're having so all good!🤙
@@jim5549always nice to have a dip in the water when it’s hot!
Haven’t surfed that spot yet, but certainly looks like typical PNW waves. Glad you were able to cross Washington off your list!
Good to know! Idk why i thought the water would be so rough. It looked bad but once i got out there, it was more gentle. Fun place to surf, definitely check it out!
Awesome💪💚❤️
West Virginia is the Best Virginia
I visited two years ago and went to all those places (I’m black feet btw)
it's an interesting place for sure. I hadn't been back to Montana since I was a kid in the 90's
