I agree it's a strong, joyful and unanticipated rendition. It's clear -- even more so from their studio-live video also on YT -- that they love this song, and get particular joy from playing the Stop Making Sense version. I get no sense that Paramore think they can improve upon it. But I also hope Lynn Mabry, Ednah Holt, and/or Alex Weir -- all still living, I'm pretty sure -- get a chance to see/hear Paramore's rendition. Those "guest" performers recall how their own excitement grew as they together brought the concert/movie project to fruition. They will also remember carrying that spirit onstage and belting it out to the rest of us. Paramore sound like they've taken it up in the spirit that was intended.

We were VIP standing so she was verrrry close! Tbf for the UK it was pretty decent - we were night 2, while we waited for Paramore it was bright sun and 18 degrees. It just started drizzling around 9.30, right when My Tears Ricochet started which was really fitting! She declared it a rain show but a romantic light rain. 😂

@markperez4980 don't know what that means. Yeah, the LA crowd was totes disappointing. But several US crowds were really in tune with the music and picking up the backups and stuff.

To be fair, I think everyone else ran out of breath too 😂 you can hear it in everyone around me. Plus I think because everyone knows it’s going to be a mashup they’re wary of where the new song will come in.

It sounds crazy to say but I’d never describe myself as a Swiftie, just someone who enjoys her music. I think I’m a convert after this though, it was amazing. She has a talent for connecting with everyone, even in a 60,000 crowd. I did tear up a little through this song, as you come to the realisation it was really a once in a lifetime affair. I felt really overwhelmed that I’d had such a great view and a lovely time. Everyone around was really nice and it made it such a good vibe!
