Corrosion happens between aluminum and iron .use hot dipped galvanised or stainless steel bolt to plug the hole.

i have a sc400 and my problem with it that the steering wheel is key wont move i get it to accesories but thats it like its i try to wiggle it adjust with the steering wheel and non of that work its locked with the steering wheel i get it out but it want turn no more than accessories and just stay locked
Unfortunately I don’t have a definitive answer for you. When my car had the issue the locksmith could only get it to accessories due to not being able to get the correct key shape. In your case if you are using and OEM key and having the issue, I would guess that either the key shape is damaged or your ignition is damaged. Only solutions realistically and still may or may not work would be to order a new key from the dealer and hope that the key is the issue, or get another ignition and keys that do work. Wish I could be of more help lmk if you have any more questions and I’ll do my best to answer.

yea me neither pretty cool, car is auto to manual swap with abs delete. So ABS TRAC on and the OD is cause its wondering where the transmission went lol. Also thanks!

What was your reason for swapping out the ignition cylinder lock? Right now I'm having an issue with my SC400 where the key doesn't want to turn most of the time when it's in the ignition. It started being kind of hard to turn a couple weeks ago and suddenly it didn't want to turn at all today. I have to play with it, pulling and pushing it in and out and jiggling the key left and right to get it to turn over but it's not consistent. Eventually once I get it just right it will finally turn. I'm hoping I can get it out and take it to a locksmith to work on since it's $300 for a new one from Rock Auto.
Lost the key to my car, luckily had a spare ignition cylinder around. Definitely worth attempting to fix, locksmith would know better than I as far as fixing the actual lock. Welcome to ask more questions but for the most part the video is what I know.
@@Daniel_Aviles Thanks for the reply! Does the new key work with the remote lock and unlock on the FOB after swapping out the ignition cylinder?
@@Neipalm I haven’t tried it, have to get a battery for the key. Not sure it’ll work tho, this key was matched to my other SC’s transponder.

I have a 95 sc300 from my experience if you disconnect the battery the car has to relearn the idle procedure again started it up and as it warmed up it was idling at 300-500rpms and sounded like a misfire but as I drove it within 10-15 mins the problem went away

I was looking at a sc300 or sc400 a while back, but they are becoming expensive.

@@Daniel_Aviles man a lot. But the wildest was overheating. Tried to make it back to the shop twice after letting it cool and ignition switch randomly broke. Just flopped around. Got it bumped started. Installed new timing kit and waterpump and ignition pin. Only to have a weird power surge. Tested and replaced alt due to overcharging and the new one was just dead af. Checked plugs, fuses and noticed a sus 100amp fuse (AM1). Replaced it and found hints of power steering fluid on it from a mishap many months ago. After all that no change so I got my old alt back and it’s been fine for the last 2 days. 🤞🏽

So if I were going to run a FFIM and turbo I can just get rid of all the vacuum canister, butterfly valve, and vsv stuff? Just making sure because I haven’t been able to find anything about it online. You’re pretty much the only person I’ve seen that has even mentioned the vacuum canister
Theres more info in the comments, but no don’t need the canister at all for either. For turbo you should get rid of the butterfly valve and the vsv related to it. Good luck!
