@michaelmcgovern8110 before it started i saw the wind and took down the main. The Rolla furler is ok to roll in if you go downwind.🤗 if the main were up I would have to go close to the wind to reef it🫨

I wish I could help with Jay but we need to get back to Porto Santo where we will leave our boat ashore then fly to Trinidad to move Beth’s boat to New York where here friend will take the boat. We will then get back to Dyola and start cruising properly. Please say hello to Jay from me when you see him. Do you ever intend to return home again ?

@garylorking4328 yes I will say hello and I understand you have your own important stuff to do.👍it sounds like you guys are gonna have some great adventures 😊. We will return home this spring to work and get a bigger boat. We need to survive the winter here.🤗

@@Sailorboynumberone I’m no expert with limited coastal boating amongst locals, Mackerel are plentiful and best caught in my humble opinion by a lure and line rig, simple and effective, no need for another rod and real.. Good lures on a rig set up for trawling, as you’re sailing you’re fishing, in coastal waters and open sea. if you’re an expert and I’m not one line regularly checked with multiple lures should be simple to manage. Of course more competent men than myself might have multiple lines.. I’m quite sure your coastal prospects will improve by adopting that simple method..?

@Isimud Thanks. It's so hard to know if the bolts are good. They look good and no water is coming in. Only rusty bricks. I will change them after the winter. That's why I only go close to shore with this boat😅.

Depends, winter 20e and summer 35e and there are cheaper and more expensive. In mediterranean u have 100e per night on some places🤗
