This machine reminds me a lot of the old T52 and T53 era of ThinkPads (mid-2000). The inner frame sandwiched between the top and bottom. Not many ThinkPads are built like this anymore.

You can replace it, you will have to disassemble the LCD assembly and unplug the cable from behind the LCD panel.

If you followed this video, then you shouldn't have touched the keyboard cable. so that means something is wrong with your trackpad or trackpad cable. which can affect keyboard functions, because... Apple engineering. Try reseating the trackpad cable.

They come with the battery if you ordered from Apple. support.apple.com/self-service-repair Or if you have to go third party, pick a seller that packages them with the battery. amzn.to/4exKWDd Though I can't guarantee the quality of third party batteries.

The little white plastic things are the alignment tool that comes with Apple original trackpads. You can use 4 poker cards and shove them in at the 4 sides of the trackpad during the installation. It's not perfect, but should do the job.

Dell manufactured parts have the manufacturing dates stamped or printed on stickers. Check the dates on all the parts

You can check some stuff. Device Manager lists all connected devices and their hardware IDs.

I assume there are some place that sells keycaps. No idea where to find them. Manufacturers use different types of mechanisms for their keycaps, so not all generics will fit properly.

I can't answer that. Because all I ever see are broken computers. No one brings me their perfectly working computers.

That's a tough question. I work for tech support for a specific organization. And all I see are broken computers, because why else would they bring me their computers? Also, the computer models are ordered in bulk by the organization. So they come off the same assembly line around the same build time. So if there was a manufacturing defect, it could affect all the machines. So, I have replaced the system board in P14s dozens of times. But the organization ordered hundreds of them, but other P14s that are purchased elsewhere might not have similar issues.

It was the screen hinge, system board, and the vent that made it difficult. I had to wiggle it out at weird angles and pivoted it out from the hinge. Check and make sure all your screws are loosen and just wiggle it at different angles. You see me messing with the system board at 4:56 because the heatsink scraped against the PCB. Also, watch from 8:33 to see reinstallation to get an idea how it fits together.

I don't think the glass is a product you can buy, the trackpad itself are generally less than $60, even apple's own price isn't very high. It's not worth the hassle. Repair shops charge $180 to replace it, that's half parts, half labor. So I think just replacing the TrackPad is much faster and easier. I did a trackpad replacement on a different model: th-cam.com/video/66jItnMQ7PQ/w-d-xo.html it's mostly the same with different screw placement.

At that timestamp, those wires I'm messing with are the WiFi antennae, they should not affect you screen. Try re-seating the cable at 05:40. That is the display cable. That cable is indeed a separate part, you will have to take the LCD assembly off, then disassemble the assembly by removing the plastic bezel and then remove the LCD panel from the assembly to access the other end of that cable on the back of the panel.

I would not use dryer/heat, use black sticks to carefully wedge it up, check for adhesive or small frame parts attached to the LCD panel.

@@PetricusGaming I bought only the keyboard, and many say in Reddit that it can be replaced with only the keyboard (not including the top case or the palm rest), but it will take a lot of effort from the technicians.

@@ifacedownworship Lenovo's official info is topcase replacement. There is no guarantee that it will work but it never hurts to try. There are screws on the topcase assembly where the keyboard is located, so might as well go for it.

Is it an authentic Apple manufactured trackpad? Did you properly aligned during installation? Re-seat the trackpad cable on both ends. Run trackpad calibration.

You can try the system board from Precision 5560, it has a newer chip and it is more powerful. I am pretty sure they will fit, but let me know if they don't fit. amzn.to/3ASu0ZK

Sorry, I don't know, but check near CPU, RAM, or CMOS battery. Google the label on the chip to find out what type it is to determine if it's the BIOS.

There isn't any other "chip" to replace on this machine, TCON board comes attached on the LCD assembly. Just lid angle sensor. After LCD replacement, it does require "System configuration" to run from the AST2. This is something authorized service providers have access to run, or if you were doing self-repair, you can contact Apple to have their remote support run it on your computer. support.apple.com/self-service-repair

All of them, I tried it for a while without getting them all, and I was just getting annoyed with the fight. So I finally looked it up and found the rest of them.

@@steveparker5804 You are going to have better luck with finding a shop local to you. Cost of shipping laptop both ways will be over $100 just on continental US. Plus cost of screen, probably around $140. This is ignoring labor cost for the repair.

@@PetricusGaming Smart choice! It also worked for me, the lower damage negation is quite negligible compared to the better iFrames :) Blocking is also a strong option, it has very minimal downsides. This boss is basically designed for shield users.

You can do it man! Blasphemous Blade on level 1 requires both Radagon (STR and DEX +5) and Marika's (FTH+5) Soreseals, Two Fingers Heirloom (FTH+5), Haligtree Knight Helm (Faith+2), and then you have to Two-Hand wield the weapon for the STR x 1.5 bonus. That's how you meet the requirements for STR 22, DEX 15, and FTH 21. You can also use the Flask with Faith-Knot Crystal Tear for FTH+10 but that only lasts 3 minutes.
