One huge difference I have noticed is when I first started on Whatnot, I was one of the few booksellers on at times and had at least 20 people in my shows. After taking an over year-long break, my last show only had 3 to 5 people in there. So it's growing, but there's way more competition for eyes on your show.

What is Phil's eBay and whatnot name

This was a very interesting discussion. A seller has to have a certain attitude to do auctions, but I think their business will be much more profitable that way.

Do you think the make an offer that everyone seems to use on ebay now is part of the issue. Like Phil said he doesn't want to train people to expect to get 50 percent off. It seems like Make an Offer has trained buyers to negotiate more.
