Why I Chose the Festool TS 75
I want to show other woodworkers and furniture makers a practical example of why I purchased the Festool TS 75 over other brands offering a similar saw. In this video I cross-cut the end of a claro walnut slab for a dining table I am making for a client to demonstrate the cut and finish quality as well as cutting capacity. With a slab this valuable, I can't afford mistakes or poor quality cuts that will require more work to address. I also refer to both Jimmy DiResta and Mark Spagnuolo (The Wood Whisperer) and the tools they prefer as they had influence on my research and ultimate choice of tool purchase. Here's a link to The Wood Whisperer's original review of DeWalt's track saw and comparison to the Festool track saw; www.thewoodwhisperer.com/videos/dewalt-tracksaw-review/

Product Review: Swag Offroad V3.0 Portaband Table
มุมมอง 1.3K7 ปีที่แล้ว
I review the Swag Offroad Version 3.0 Portaband Table, it's packaging and how easy it is to assemble and operate. You can find the table that best works with your portable bandsaw at www.swagoffroad.com/SWAG-Portaband-Tables-Accessories. The 3.0 version which I purchased has been a huge help in increasing my productivity as well as allowing me to make my bandsaw more versatile.

Milling African Fern Pine from Fresno's Fulton Mall
มุมมอง 1628 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the first of the trees we are salvaging from the renovations being done on the Fulton Mall in Fresno, Ca. The wood revealed some beautiful grain and coloring that was pleasantly contrary to what I assumed would be rather mild in color and variety. The material that resulted is really quite beautiful. Special thanks to Jon Reis for helping with milling today. Having help off-loading, swe...

Very good review of the Swag Offroad V 3.0 Portaband Table. I'm interested in getting one, as I just received my new Dewalt DWM120 saw (with case). This kind of a combo, Swag table and portable bandsaw, makes for a very compact and cost efficient solution.
so you want to tell us, that the 55mm sawing depth of the ts55 is not enough, to saw through a 51mm slab? As far as i remember 55>51 :D
The TS55 cuts 50mm with a track so it cannot cut a 2" thick slab. Festool knows EXACTLY what it is doing when they make different size tools. They get the maximum number of people to buy both saws! I bought the bigger Domino and am actually regretting not getting the smaller one even though I bought an aftermarket kit to be able to run the smaller sizes. It would be nice to have a lighter tool. Now I'm torn between the 55 and 75...decisions, decisions.
*Fantastic saw.==>**t.co/pz0ehfXVEN** We processed 120 sheets of pressure treated plywood like it was nothing. Track grips exceptionally well and variable speed trigger makes cutting perfectly straight lines a breeze. One of my shop guys thought that a table saw was the better choice, but I believe he is a believer now as well. A must have for any shop.*
Hilarious, too late...
Is that a Festool MIDI dust extractor and how well does it work? thanks
Should learn how to measure LOL
Should have bought the HK-85 the proper saw for that type of cutting.
I agree with you and would love to own both saws, actually. I opted for the TS75 as I do many different cutting tasks and the 75 is the most versatile for my various needs. Thanks for commenting!
Is this because it is a cross cut and a hard type of timber, not sheet timber?
hk85 cant cut mdf but ts75 can cut hard wood
Actually the correct answer should be MAG as it's probably welded under CO2 or mix of argon + CO2, still considered as Active Gaz..
Thank you for letting me be a part of this! It was great to work with you.
Mig welded :) And the legs look beautiful.
