Yes that's correct. That way we have both face measurements, average point stored.

I haven't used mini prism. I used small square piece of wood and a retro target stick to the face that makes a target qube. Very accurate when marking brick work.

Yes that's the old school method! And may be more accurate but I think the way I mark is a little bit quicker. That way you save all the tape measurements on each individual pin and most of the time is precious= the job has to be done quickly.

@@gavra1l not a problem pal. I have recently faced an issue with resection. Depending on the position of the total station the grids which I was staking out had slightly different positions. It's probably because the primary points have poor quality and there weren't coordinates averaging between them. I'd like to get your opinion on what you usually do in this situation.

Hello buddy, In your particular case when you are marking grid lines and the resection is poor that can give you slightly different positions. I would do that way- First - find a place where you can see, if possible all targets. Then set up the instrument with all that you can see. Second- Create new control folder and record/measure all targets again. Then any resection difference should be gone!!! I hope that will help.

Hello buddy, to be honest with you I am not using DTM stake out because you should have to have the model with points and each point to have height. I use usually 2 points with heights on them at line menu. If I have to mark heights between them the instrument calculate any positions between the 2 points. I have been planning to make a video about this.

Hello buddy, Grid lines usually depends of the situation. If I am alone and have mini 360 prizm or mini round one I use them on lowest possible setting to be more accurate. If I have someone with me I use to stick a retro target on precut small square piece of plywood and the helper hold it for me where I point the laser. Then I tell him which way he has to move- to me for example 5,7,10 millimetres or to him. When we reach 0 mil I tell him to mark it.

Hi, yes I transfer the lines in that case but sometimes I draw the lines. It depends.

Should do as both are robotic instruments. But can not be 100% sure if I don't try first. You can give it a go and let me know.

If you want to mark single point I prefer to use stake out. But I you want to mark a long line between 2 manholes then you can use "measure to line" .

Set up limits are 10mm Easting, 10mm Northing and 10mm on height. But you can set your own limits from the menu in the TS controller.
