Hey @georgeweig4033...go train with the guy before you judge. A baby might think that walking is overrated and crawling works just fine until they learn to walk. Ignorance is one thing...willful ignorance and stupidity is another.
@@steveshaw2784 Thanks for the insult - - I’ve been around this world for 97 years now, and have little patience for BS. G.W.
George, I am 74 yrs. I started BJJ at 61 and just received my black belt a few months back. I thought I could fight at 61 and won way more real fights than I lost until I put on a gi and got my ass handed to me for the first 6 months straight. There were times I wanted to quit...come home beat up and bruised. I can say definitively that until you actually train in something and you arrive at some level of proficiency, the only thing you are positively qualified to say is 'this doesn't work for ME'. If you are 97 years old, you might want to look into firearms but, if you have nothing but a cane at your disposal and you've trained with it, you can't call it BS. Well...yes you can call it BS but you're still wrong. I know folks my age and older who go to the Y and practice Tai Chi. Some of them are a LOT older than I am and they are not just ambulatory, they are extremely fit and sing its praises to anyone who will listen. There's real benefits to physical training outside of self defense. Is Tai Chi an effective form of self defense? Could be depending on the situation. Wouldn't be my choice but I'm not calling it BS. Might it someday be the only thing I'm able to do? Might training with a cane, someday be the only thing I can do? I'd be interested in your take on how this cane thing is BS...compared to what? I have some trees to climb and take down. I'll await your reply sir.
Too complicated.
All this slow motion practice is useless. Put on some pads and go to town
👍
Will not watch. Soo many words to sell a stick
Training to be the cool grandfather when the time will come ))
how do i order this cane disabled
where do i a cane
7:34 bruh :o
Millitary hand to hand combat training. 26 years Police defensive and take down training. All require lots of repetition and dexterity. Now retired 77 yrs old. As a LEOSA carrier the cane can fill the gap on the force continuum. Basic ,effective ,easily mastered. My Cane is on oder!
here it looks good but in reality when there is an emergency then it will not work out 😂 !
Where can I get training in addition to TH-cam. I live in New Braunfels, TX?
@@rondiana1348 Not sure. You can check on the canemasters.com website to see if any courses are offered in your area.
WAY TO MUCH HOT AIR AND NOT ENOUGH PRACTICAL. BORING REALLY.
if there is resistance, your anti-grab technique does not work.
Thank You for these Videos. I'm 68, handicaped, I could not run away. So with a Cane I've got a chance, maybe. Several months ago, I've been foraying and could'nt do anything. So to fight for defence without a tool, a legal cane is my only chance.
Если захватят трость уже не отберешь. Так что не верьте всем приемам.
Where do I buy one of those canes
Canemasters.com
This is great. I suspect these are basic moves. Semper Fi
Thank you for your demo! A sturdy walking stick is better than nothing! It is even better if I can use it to power strikes to defend myself!
Best cane defense instructions I have seen! Thank you for sharing.
Where can I get a cane like yours?
www.canemasters.com
that amount of BS really blows my mind
A walking stick with a knob illegal in Ny? I disagree with you sir I have been carrying a walking stick with a knob in front of cops and not once have I been stopped.
Very good! Thank you.
I have type 4 psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and I always walk with a Cain do to a very bad hip and spinal problem, and have had to use my Cain for self defense, and well all the training I've had works.
Can't find a "Valhalla Hammer" cane for sale. Link? Alternative?
Where do you get the Valhalla hammer?
Canemasters.com
what a well spoken and knowledgeable man
Thank you.
U have great vids. WHAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC IF U COULD DRESS VILLAIN IN A KEVLAR OR RUBBER SUIT AND HAVE AN MORE OF REAL LIFE ATTACK. It would be so much easier to understand and so many more people could get a real lesson
Excellent video it’s amazing how effective that cane is in Hapkido as well
You should add a link to that model of came, for purchase.
Where can one get one of these combat cains?
Go to canemasters.com/
No one who is unable to fight without a cane should be encouraged to try to fight with one.
Beaucoup de discussions mais en anglais.. dommage 😢
The best part of a tight hook with a point, is that after a strong strike to the groin, your hook point is in position to enter the opponent’s exit orifice, with only 1 or 2 layers of cloth between him and your medical device. Tug and lift at the same time to get a reaction 😂
Can you fight tho?
great instructor! he talks to everyone. he had my attention the whole episode!
Very informative and useful in this lawless age where older people like my wife and I to know how to survive these senseless lawless attacks. Thanks much!!
i have a cane that was hand made for me back when i was 16yrs old do to an ankle woond it is iron wood and now that im older i use it to walk but i was attaked by some dimwits one with a kniff , well after braking one guys arm and the others jaw , i was found inosent in a court of law .
Well, you’re a 7-strike felon when it comes to spelling.
I notice that these instructors carry the cane with the face of the horn (or bird) facing back instead of facing forward, as Mr. Melton insists is best.
So, what about Derby style handles? They're a mobility aid, also, and much better for the wrist to support one's body weight than that crook handle.....
Tape goes black at 36:28, til it ends at 39:01... audio only. Hope there wasn't anything we needed to see!
You're right. Must have cut off that last bit of video. Thanks, Hugh
Painful to watch. I hope all your attackers will be so cooperative. Also, where is the jiu jitsu??
odd isnt it for second dan , they were a selection of techniques from 9th to 3rd Kyu and a distinct lack of throws
I don’t see any uploads on your channels to compare our style to. We call this America Sheike Jiu-Jitsu. There are plenty of throws, locks, chokes, kicks and strikes in the style. I don’t know why it would not be Jiu-Jitsu. Call it what you want but these are effective street techniques. Most were brought back from Burma after the Korean War.
What are they doing 🙄
Performance art? They get to select what gi they want to wear depending on how they feel
That would be interesting to have people from the middle east come and get trained and they will be able to aboard a airplane in Small groups with out a box cutter tool.
So impressive, much more effective than many others.
