we were looking at a really nice "lux" campside on the Oregon coast, LIKE $120/nite, nice like the one you are talking about BUT they only allow Campers/RV's 10 years old or newer...one person who has a 2000 Provost (still worth $1M) tried to book at this lux site and they turned them down..this is a different place than what you are talking about but it's becoming a trend.
I really don't understand why they would turn you down if the camper can go into the spot.

NOT downtown Virginia Beach. This is the VA Beach Oceanfront and we hate when tourist mix them up. If you wanna see downtown then go downtown.

You think there is rattlesnakes in Letchworth State Park?
@wervtoo Seriously ? I guess you're not familiar with a rattlesnake Crossing New York State constructed in the park . Two weeks ago, a 15 year old boy was bitten by a timber rattlesnake at T- table in the park , New York State keeps these things quite because they don't want to loose precious revenue from the park .My Cousin killed a timber rattler in the park back in 1981 , I still have the photo.

Yes camping is a great way for the family to get out and have some fun. The state parks are very cheap. Equipment can get expensive depending on how you want to camp
