10 AWESOME Guitar Riffs by GHOST
What's your favorite Ghost riff?
There are a lot of great riffs to choose from, but these 10 stand out to me.
The intro to Kaisarion was originally on the list, but it's more of a melody/hook than a riff.
Gear used:
Kemper Profiler (Top Jimi Marshall profiles and some Mesa Rectifier profiles from the Rig Exchange)
Gibson Les Paul 58 Reissue with Custombuckers
Cort bass (?)
Nord Electro 3
Ezdrummer 3

Frank Zappa - St Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast⎮Full cover

That's right, folks. Don't touch that dial! Frank Zappa is one of my biggest influences. This song in particular got me hooked from the start. My goal was to play the crazy marimba/vibra part on keys, but I don't have the chops for that so I just programmed it. I do play the Fender Rhodes and brass/woodwind on the keyboard though. Drums are programmed in EzDrummer 3. I used a couple of Top Jimi...
10 EPIC Guitar Riffs by QUEEN
มุมมอง 26K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
Queen - my favorite band ever. Brian May is such an underrated guitarist, but bear in mind he didn't always write all the guitar riffs. The other members contributed to them to. I struggled a bit to come up with this list because there are so many good riffs in their catalogue. Therefore I made a cronologic list starting with the first album and then working my way through. One guitar I always ...

Criminally underrated band! Gear used: -Kemper Profiler (TopJimi profiles) -Gibson Les Paul 58 CS Reissue from 2014 -Homemade strat with True Temperament neck and Fender Eric Johnson pickups -Ibanez AS93 -Cort C4 -Nord Electro 3 -Suhr Classic T (for the verses)
Supertramp - Crime of The Century⎮Guitar solo cover
มุมมอง 9885 หลายเดือนก่อน
A very underrated guitar solo in my opinion. Roger Hodgson really captured the desperation and melancholy of the song with a few notes. I'm using a Kemper profile by Top Jimi. This time it's based on a Marshall Bluesbreaker with an added treble booster and some extra reverb. The guitar is a Gibson Les Paul 1958 Reissue VOS from 2014 with Custombuckers.
Queen - Good Company⎮Guitar solo cover

Brian May is without a doubt my favorite guitarist of all time. He's got an instantly recognizable tone AND touch. His melodies and his playfulness is in my opinion unmatched. This is one of his best solos, but not that widely known. It's from A Night At The Opera. I used a free Kemper profile of the Deacy amp found in the Rig Exchange. The guitar is built by me with a True Temperament neck and...
Ghost - Cirice⎮Guitar cover

Such a banger! Top tier songwriting in my opinion. I used two different Kemper profiles on this one. The main riff tone is a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier profile made by The Amp Factory. One preset for the intro electric guitar part and another for the rest of the song. The solo was recorded with a Top Jimi profile - the amazing 68 Super Lead. Probably my favorite profile pack ever. I use it on...
Andy Timmons Band - She's Leaving Home⎮Guitar cover
มุมมอง 1818 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is obviously a Beatles track, but Andy Timmons and his band released an instrumental version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band a couple of years back. Phenomenal tribute! Andy has this way of making the guitar speak with emotion. The Kemper profile I used is the 66' Plexi JT45 by TopJimi. No one does better Marshall profiles than him! For guitars I used a homemade Strat with Fender ...
Hollow Knight - False Knight ⎮ Metal Guitar cover

Silksong is still a dream. Always been fond of the Hollow Knight OST and I thought this track would work as a heavy guitar track. Running straight into my Kemper and using a bunch of different profiles. Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Vox etc. Guitars: Gibson Les Paul 58 Reissue VOS Epiphone Firebird Ibanez AS93 Some kind of Warwick bass EZdrummer 3 Original composer - Christopher Larkin

Jellyfish - That is Why⎮Full Band Cover

A fellow Jellyfish fan, Adam Liljedahl, reached out and asked if I wanted to make a cover of a Jellyfish song. I said yes on the spot. I brought along my dear brothers, Martin and Adrian, on keys and bass. Jaron perfected the cover with his amazing vocals. Rhythm guitar is a Suhr Classic T and I'm playing through a Tone Junkie Vox AC30 Kemper profile. Lead guitar is a Gibson Les Paul 58 Custom ...

No "Was It All Worth It", "I Want It All" "Tear It Up", "Sweet Lady" or "Dead On Time"? 🤔 Not a complete list.
@@dudash1000 Well, that’s because it’s my personal list 😏
Brilliant ! really enjoyed that.
@@Trickey1 Thanks! Appreciate it
Liar, Dead On Time, Princes of the Universe, Tear It Up :)
What are these frets?
True Temperament frets. Helps with better intonation
Cirice!
@@KNGN great song!
Absolutely stellar. Vocals could be a tad higher in volume. But very good
@@MitchellSmith-w4l Thanks! I guess I’m trying to hide my singing 😅
@antonjohnsson679 you're singing is fine
Kul att se att du lirar för fullt mannen ! Snyggt!
Tack!
Va fan den hade jag ju helt missat! Helt underbart!🙌🙌
How can somebody ignore the pure brilliance of this band, wish we would have had 10 more Albums!...By the way, Dude that is pure magnificent what you`re doing here!
@@bonzekarl Thank you! Yes, such an amazing band.
WHAT´W WRONG WITH THE FRETS IN YOUR GUITAR?
Awesome, but I'd add "I want it all", Brian's riff's amazing
Awsome "Red Special" bro, that's cool you built it personally and I think it's near enough sound with Bri's Red Special. Great! And Queen is always Great also.
Thanks! Yeah, Queen is always Queen. The best there is
lol

😂😂
3:22 nice car
What happened to your frets? 😅 you sound magnificent 👏👏
Thanks! They are True Temperament frets. Helps with the intonation
Well done 😎
Thanks!
Those frets are mad
👍
That was amazing!
A song I would've personally added to the list is Liar, specifically the riff from the second half of the intro before they transition to the verse
You should add dragon attack. This song IS mostly entierly a riff
@@jeromeparf I’m personally not the biggest fan of that riff, but I know that a lot of people like it
Innuendo
Love the weird frets…at first I thought there was something wrong with the picture.
Haha! You're not the first one :)
Veri nice !!
A superlative video! Thank you so much!
@@denisvanwassenhoven3822 Thanks! 😊
Brilliant
Princes of Universe, Gimme The Prize, Headlong, The Hitman has great guitar riffs.
I agree
Good list, I'm only missing Brighton Rock or I Want It All
@@robertomingo9822 I was considering Brighton Rock, but I felt it was more of a solo piece than a riff. Thanks!
Brilliant that well done
@@Robsheph Thanks!!
Just today I listened to Father to Son live at Rainbow, it has a great epic riff. Your choice is also great
@@СергейУрб That’s a great one!!
Amazing riff and my favorite Queen song
your crooked frets make me feel sick
So cool 🤟😎🤟
That "crooked" frets produce PERFECT intonation man! Great playing btw.
@@reymondgopog426 Thanks, Reymond! Well, it’s at least a better solution to the intonation headache 😅
Where did you learn how to play this??
@@XxIfOnlySophiexX By ear. It’s such a good song!
@@antonjohnsson679 thats awesome. It's such a difficult song to learn, and it's so cool! Me and my band are learning it, and we haven't found how to play it. That's the only reason I asked. Great Job!
Great stuff as always!
@@angaar2899 Thanks, mr. Angaar sir!
Great list!
Thanks :)
Four touchdowns
😎👍 🍷
Jon Brion is the guitarist on Joining A Fan Club. That said, what he did is pretty similar to the demo. A guy named David Tweed is on the demo. Tweed was one of a few people who auditioned to replace Jason Falkner after he left the band. Tweed was the one who came up with the original guitar and bass parts for JAFC, but the song did morph and get better during the album sessions.
@@toddlittle9095 Thanks for the input! I got in touch with Lyle Workman when we did a cover of Glutton of Sympathy a few years back. He sent me some photos from the studio. Great guy
