Alright personally. Play elden ring how you want but one fair warning. 1 this is the big warning. Do not and I mean absolutely do not go around saying elden ring and the dlc are easy when you used summons. Going around and saying this is just disrespectful to the gaming community and disrespectful to the game aswell 2 if you wanna use summons go for it play it your way and have fun. 3 tbh I used summons for over 9 ng+s. Rn I'm doing it solo on another character and both ways are fun cause your given a option to make it easier and more fun. Don't let people ruin your fun

To all the people who say this idiotic kind of stuff. It’s in the game for a reason. It’s not a hack or a mod. This is not Darksouls 1-3. If you don’t like the summons or the helper than go play the OG 3 Darksouls. Problem solved. These are the same people who bit*hed about Shadow of the Erdtree being to hard.

I love summons there’s so many different types that can help for many different things

Not using summons is just a self imposed challenge, if it’s in the game naturally then it was intended to be used

Play how you want.. if you want to challenge yourself for the awesome pay off then do so... if you don't then don't.. try all ways and then play the way you like

So there is neat little thing called banishing invaders you should use it and stop mindlessly complaining about things you have the power to fix if your getting invaded and don’t want it to happen do the smallest amount of research on the game your playing

There are skills you can learn in the game. This game is meant to test you in several ways. Just bc you don't like something does not mean it shouldn't be there. That is just being immature. So you basically saying you want the game to tend to your hurting ego because the game is designed to let people choose to fight in online coop and invasions. There are ways around getting invaded and on top of that the constant stress of the invading party usualy helps keep you alert and ready for anything witch helps your situational awareness. If this kind of thing bugs you so much that you half to complain online that the game shouldent have pvp. Then i dont know what to say to you. I wish i could have a good discussion with you and maby change your mind. But people with this take just see there own interests and never try and look at a situation at a new light. Try embering before the boss fight jext time instead of at your bonfire then maby youl be fine.

I’m not a fan of getting invaded but I do enjoy the arena from time to time, mainly just to see if I’ve still got it but usually I get whooped and maybe kill them once haha, still fun to me tho as long as it’s something I’m choosing to do and not having to worry about while in the open world

With Fromsofts recent titles like ds3 or elden pvp works the same basically, if you invade someone the host is usually gonna have backup so the chances of losing is pretty low. Even then, you have things like a bewitching branch or the seed from ds3 to have mobs attack invaders. There's plenty of ways to defend yourself just prepare for em and you'll be fine.

The amount of comments that say just get good is horrifying. It’s true, why would someone need to stop what they are doing to partake in something other people want to do… it ruins immersion. The PvP mode should be separate from assisting and innately be off.

I only ever summon to fight bosses so invasions aren’t really a problem

Literally, your vibing and dying in a game that is hard enough already. Then someone else with the equipment and spells better at killing players than enemies like the ones you are using. And then they do this for fun and have more PvP experience. They then dumpster you and emote on your corpse because they invaded your world and ruined your progress and fun. Such a shitty system

Why pvp was ever thought of in these games idfk 😐 Assistance from your friends is cool, but getting invaded every time you’re simply trying to progress the story, is just mad annoying. There’s no in-between either. It’s either a pesky mosquito, or a demigod with every spell, incant, and weapon in the game. There’s no “get gud” when I have a lvl 0 weapon with nothing to my name, and someone invades with crazy ass spells, incants and +10 RoB, then my friends proceed to get clapped with 1 spell and two swings, while i sit there like a baby gazelle watching its parents being devoured by a raging lion 🙂

Play a different game. The reason they always add invasions is because co op makes the game too easy and often just breaks the enemy AI, and is not even up for debate. Invasions balance the mutliplayer experience. "Why do I have to stop doing what I want to do, to do what you want to do?" This is an actual toddler statement, and you sound like you're about to cry. 😢
