I was your dad's flight instructor in 1982. I requalified him as a pilot and gave Melanie flight instruction. He bought a Cessna 182 and I checked him out in that also. He and I once flew to Marsh Harbor for a day, he nearly got into a fight at a restaurant there, I had to talk him down. He contacted me before his fateful trip and he was supposed to contact me to pick him and Melanie up the following Sunday. He obviously never did. You contacted me shortly thereafter inquiring about his airplane. I flew Melanie's parents over to the Bahamas to look for information. I never knew of your dad's drug connection but it is not surprising. Your dad was pretty mysterious, I never associated with him outside the airport . You have put together an interesting story....
