Tiffany Aunt Donna here. I love seeing how you guys have done. You guys are amazing. We are so proud of you
That slow pace would drive me crazy.
so um..... i have no idea what i have just done. i ordered mennonite sorghum from a shop in etsy. i knew i wanted sorghum, i wanted it for livestock fodder and bee food (i raise honey bees) planted them in April - ish.... not sure on the exact date. every single seed sprouted. they're TALL..... i don't know anything about this variety! i know sorgum.. i planted it a few times, accidentally and on purpose- bags of wild bird seed. but i've never harvested the resulting seeds. i just turned the goats into that area and let them do what they wanted. but ..... not these mennonite. it's in my front yard and heavily protected. watching your video left me with more questions than answers.... what on earth?? is this like sugarcane?? i didn't know that! how the heck do i know if it's ready? how similar is it to the bird seed sorghum? same growth rate? do i need to wait until fall? i see that this video was posted seven months ago. should i order some more and plant another crop? i live in northwest florida so we don't really get a proper frost until around Thanksgiving.
He doesnt want them

Thank you!
Happy for you guys
Im so glad I found this. Im about to order the exact same seed for here in Texas. Did the mennonite sorghum hold up pretty good in the heat there?
Yes they did excellent! I didn’t hardly water them at all!
Did you leave the roots in the ground?
Definitely tare down the drywall take it to the studs then start over it'll cheaper too
Thank you for your comment!
I think it shld be torn down! It's hazardous, and not healthy to be in there!
It definitely has great bones. Those folks just wanted a roof for their animals and maybe didn’t have the funds to build the proper cover. They used what they had. Seems like they could have rented it out to another young family, but that is water under the bridge. A lot of Amish farms for sale in Randolph, MS. Most moving back North.
Roll the bales on a tarp and pull them out on the tarp 😊 (been there)
Thank you! I’ll have to try that!
Please dont let this overwhelm you. Take one day and one room at a time. Yall can do this! Have a Blessed day.
Thank you so much!
I'm extremely excited to see you back on TH-cam and seeing what you are doing on the homestead!!😊
Thank you!! There is more to come!
