Welcome to Aquatic Role-Play Themes. I am Emma and I'm am putting together a valuable wealth of knowledge relating to the teaching of swimming through play.
I've been a swim instructor since 2008 specialising in babies, pre-schoolers and water phobias, but teaching also up to advanced swimmers. I personally teach around 170 pupils per week though my own swim school www.swimplay.co.uk (formally of Willow Babes Ltd) We love the use of themes and roleplay in our classes and are passionate about how they help children process and accelerate learning. Helping them play out any schemas and embed the play (teaching practice) in their memory. I'm here to share my experiences and generally help with swim related things where I can! Hi, sorry for the delay! Yes we our children have the opportunity to swim with clothes on. They really enjoy the change but do get tired more easily!

Frog legs, no! 😂 sorry, that is my pet hate with breaststroke legs. Knees need to be kept closer together, not flaring out like “frog legs”.
Definitely agree with the older swimmers on a competitive pathway whip kick all the way. You'd hate my lessons as only 30% of the time I refer to breaststroke legs. 😅🐸 but then 50% of my kids are under 5s!

Hi Emma, I have just watched all your videos. They are fantastic. I love teaching themed lessons, the kids get so excited and don't want to leave. I will definitely be trying out some of your themes. One thing I am struggling with is trying to locate some decent floats. You have a ring float in some of your lessons for example. Can you recommend any companies to purchase from? Thanks
Hi, Thanks for the feedback! I got the purple ring float from www.swiminn.co.uk (or com?) If you look in the pool section there are some awsome floats, I think it was advertised as an adult aid. :-) let me know if you dont find it and I'll look through my emails x
