Well lets see what happens when the challenger 3 comes into service
I think all western tanks are not machines that are build for war. To complex, can't be produced in massive numbers, hard to maintain, it takes a long time to train a crew,... If you look at the conflict in Ukraine it should be obvious that it has no use building highly complex tanks. The numbers are much more important. The UK has only 40 operational challenger 2 tanks. The rest (60-100) they strip for spare parts. Looking at these numbers, how many challenger 3 tanks do you think they will build? 50? 100? 200? How many years will it take to just build 200 tanks? A decade? The UK will be a califate by then. What can 200 tanks do on a battlefield? How many weeks before you start running out of tanks in a war? How fast can you replace the losses? Would it even be possible to replace the losses? What the Russians have shown that it are the numbers that matter. You know, the country they claimed was running out of tanks 2 years ago. We also see that western countries are now restoring 1960's Leopard 1's and sending them to Ukraine. Because the numbers are more important than the quality. Also it's like comparing something that has existed for decades with something that does not exist for now.
