I dont think the artist needs to compete. Major labels and people who use a commercial formula to create music for the wrong reasons need to compete. Those who create will always create and seek innovation in the rawness of human feelings. The audience for AI music is already listening to soulless music.

@composerfeliciano I thing it's matter of time for AI to start creating music that is as "soulful" as any human made music. It will replicate phrases. It will know what sounds sad, happy, hopeful... It may not feel anything but will know how to do it. It's learning as we speak. Did I say I am not very optimistic about the future of composers?
