i'm honestly just confused with the changes to the rooikat 105, MTTD, and the chieftain mk10. The chieftain seemed completely unnecessary since most things outperform it at its BR its only good aspect is the turret armor which in my experience is more situational than anything. But my main confusion is with the rooikats since aside from the autoloader they are practically identical yet the 105 is going up to 9.7 while the autoloading MTTD is going to 9.3 only. Hell with an Aced crew the 105 will have the same reload as the MTTD so i don't really understand that change at all.

disagree. Vehicles have two things that say whether it's 'good' or not. That is the skill required to play it well, and the skill required to kill it. The KV-1B/E is hard to play for noobs because of it's terrible gun, and very hard to kill for noobs because of it's good armour. This doesn't make it a good tank, if you come up against anyone with skill, you will be killed. In a 1V1, with a jumbo vs a M4A2 (76) or T-34, with two equally skilled players, i'd bet on the M4A2 or T-34 if they were skilled players, and the jumbo if they were bad. There isn't really a way to definitively say one tank is definitively better than another since there will almost always be an argument to where the other tank will win. Honestly i think the only way to know what's a good tank and what isn't is to be experienced enough in the game to just know whether the benefits of one tank are better than another on average, and then you're getting into the weeds of map dependence and things like that.

You are also forgetting one important thing imo: People SAY they are doing well in tank X but most of the time they run negative KD / KPS but have like one match every so often where they do well and ONLY that is their benchmark while ignoring the other matches. That said, i don't 100% agree with what you're saying. Let's just take the M1 Abrams example (10.3), especially that one. People will usually say its bad, has a bad shell, no armor... Which is true BUT, if you are REALLY good, its one of if not the best 10.3 in the game because of its ridiculous mobility and gun handling. What does that mean? Quite simple: It's a VERY high skill floor tank, with an even higher skill ceiling. Simply saying vehicle X is good or bad is just not enough. There is more to it than black and white.

Totally agree with you on the distasteful abuse of decals; the community on the other hand... I'm convinced it's foetid: I've seen shorts featuring player made swastikas flooded with comments on how it's made, lobbies of vehicles plastered in Zs and Vs, Nazi usernames and squadrons aplenty. Yet when I point these things out in-game (how foolish), I'm in the wrong for 'not being able to take a joke' or being 'too serious'. Never has someone agreed, it's always: "racism is funny (insert grayscale gigachad)" or "it's just irony" - honestly I think a good chunk of the community is proud of it's toxicity and bigotry (whether ironic or not). Perhaps I'm just too jaded. Perhaps we're just reflecting the miserable environment of Gaijin's negligence - I certainly feel little goodwill from players: bush abuse, revenge cas, teamkilling etc. Perhaps I just don't get 'gaming culture' but it's sure as hell is sickening. You are kind of a "giant dumbass" because skill sxpression makes a lot of sense. Because some vehicles have different skill floors and ceilings than others, in case of some vehicles like some french 6th era, i can imagine players that dont even have enough skill to do anything in them. Thats why skill expression is important, because of vehicles with stupidly high skill ceiling, they will be garbage in jands of most people, but they can smash teams by themselves in proper hands, that why I personally think some vehicles need to be kept slightly underpowered to keep balance. But overall, my argument has much more limited applicability than yours so take that win this time.

Well said, just because you do well in a shit vehicle, for instance me in the Abrams. Doesn't mean its a good vehicle it just means you know how to play the vehicle efficiently in it's play style

Despite the like-dislike ratio this video is absolutely correct, vehicles that suit some people don't necessarily suit other people. Some people heavily struggle with light-tank playstyles yet do amazing in heavy tanks and vice versa. Additionally skill levels DO matter a hell of a lot as to whether a vehicle is "good" for you, a tank that requires great situational awareness or constant inputs is inherently going to be harder to play than one that can bounce shells left and right without you really needing to pay attention.

You are right. Its all just about the individual skill of the player and the playstyle. People sometimes forget that they may do exceptionally good in certain type of vehicle that sucks for most people because they are it the top 10% in that vehicle. I used to be a British main and around mid tier Britain, if you are really knowledgeable about locations of modules, crew member and armor plating you can absolutely wreck anyone because of your ability to pen anything. So you just run around as a menace destroying all the things that people sing about being amazing, not realizing that your success is dependent on knowledge and style that is exclusive to you.

I think helis are fine. Yes they can be annoying to deal with and AA sometimes dont do their job but its kinda the whole point of a heli. Hard to kill but fragile (except ka50/52. Fuck them) but can turn the tide of a battle when carefuly used. Its also not fair that the average casual player cant play helis unless then invest a lot of time or have to pay and dont even get me started in the stock grind. Imo helis are fine right now The main problem is the BR some of some which are too low like the ka50 and mi28a at 11.0 which is waaay too low as they have advanced features and they face spaa with manpads that cannot lock beyond 2km on helis (G-lynx) and when stuff with rolands, those missiles are incredibly nerfed as to make the russian panstir the best

sorry for the script but - helis should be in ground, yeah they might be annoying to fight but guess what 1 man getting killed by em at the beginning of the match doesn’t mean ur gonna lose… if it was 2020/21 then not wanting them ingame would make sense because ka-50 spam but it’s 2024, i hardly see people rocket rushing let alone managing to do successful rocket rushes. Another thing as well for the mid-late game ATGM users, you have two types: the smart ones and YOLOs. the smart ones fly low and aren’t greedy while the YOLO type flies high to get as many ATGM kills as possible… guess which type is common and which lives longer. It also falls onto SPAAs, and light tanks able to deal with aircraft, to do something and keep em bay especially if it’s the YOLO pilots that fly high. i had a game recently where 2 YOLO helis were managing to kill everyone but unfortunately i was playing alongside russia and as we all know 2S6 players think the 2S6 is a MBT and don’t do anti air. One of the main reasons i enjoy helis is because they can change the outcome of the game potentially giving the losing team a chance to win especially if it was steam rolled because of prem and or “YT minded” players so with that being said helis should be as or even more expensive than fixed wing aircraft seeing that a good player in a heli can cause more damage than any plane

I honestly believe that tech tree helicopters are fair, I personally believe that you shouldn't be able to buy top tier helicopters but I still believe helicopters as a whole should be in the game
