The most boring bore i have ever seen.
Absolutely! But 29,000 people have watched it!
I'm so glad I missed it
Interesting, thanks
well that was disappointing
What did you expect? Herds of Wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain? ;-)
Here in Somerset we know how to enjoy ourselves.
I must have missed it.
You have to start small to big x 😂
Iam with the young lady. Is that it....
That bore seriously ?
More like a fart in a bathe than a bore
That was a waste of time ,seen bigger tidal waves from India and China now they are title waves ,get a life !
According to the subtitles a " ball" 🧐👎
Well that’s five minutes I can’t get back.
I have seen bigger bores than that in the river there years back. Also further upstream where it narrows a little.
Bridgewater was on the coast many moons ago. If you look at the height the Parret rises to at full high tide, you can see the town is somewhere between one and one and a half metres above sea level when the tide is in. It’s not called the Somerset Levels for nothing.
Was that it? I see a bigger rush of water when I have my first morning P¡$$
Its ok lads, you can the surfboards away...
Yer that's it pointless
Ah small bore, for sure
Amazing that this little video of a fairly uninspiring 'Bore' has attracted over 6000 views and many comments ranging from 'interesting' to 'it lives up to its name'. Thanks to everyone for watching.
Wheelie Yellow could surf that wave.
No alarm klaxons? No evacuations?
Perhaps not as spectacular as some, but interesting if you e never seen it. I did notice quite a tide range judging the water marks. 👍👍
Thank you very much for this interesting video presentation. It is amazing how the change came over the river from its original calmness to that which follows. It is interesting to see the detritus that is brought in.
I haven’t seen this before❗And I still haven’t seen it❗Did they get the time or date wrong⁉🤔🫣🤭😴
Not a lot going on in Bridgewater then?
😂😂😂
No, not since the film festival up and moved to Cannes France some years back,...Bridgewater has gone down hill ever since,...it's either watching this bore or the other bore,...being invited to watch the neighbors new Kohler dual flush toilet in action....sorry but thats the way of Bridgewater now days.
I think I would rather watch paint dry 😢
"Is that it?" 🤣🤣🤣
Bet she SEZ that to her husband to 😂 .
Iv not seen it before , interesting , thanks for sharing
a "BORING" bit of film!
Bilgewater sadly living up to its name. The roughest town in Somerset.
2:15 “is that it, is that it”? Seemed like somebody was just checking, or someone bigged it up for her! Perhaps worth them visiting the Severn Bore.
Hardly spectacular but interesting 💧💧💧
That's what I thought. Was expecting something like the Severn Bore. Still, interesting to see it. Over 600 views of the video!
Woman comments in background............is that it 😂
Well, the Parrett is only a tiny river in the scheme of things. What did you expect? Surfers?
Maybe she should travel to Arnside apparently the tide is so fast in that estuary they warn you
Well, it lived up to its name. 🙂
😂
😅
Is tha' i'? Is tha' i'? 😅
Plenty of housing on the flood plain!
Indeed. Those responsible for giving planning permission should be investigated.

Thanks. I should have taken a tripod - a bit wide to hand hold the camera.
Well done!
In answer to the question regarding another barrel: The long term plan is to make another barrel and pin it with the original tunes, listed in 19th century script, inside the back of the organ. Peter Evans
The answer to your question is: it is a combined barrel and finger (or manual) organ. The barrel mechanism part of the organ was disconnected before 1920 or in 1920 at the very latest. The manual part of the organ remained unaffected. Peter Evans
Wonderful work. I'd love to see this after being tuned and using varying registrations on the different stanzas of the hymn tunes. The interchangeability of barrels begs the question how difficult would it be to fabricate new barrels with more hymn tunes?
Thanks for your interest. I hope to be able to film if they have another demonstration after the organ has been tuned and I've asked if I can play it (with the keys) too. Peter was asked about the viability of making another barrel with more tunes, but said that the cost would be prohibitive.
Fantastic! First time I have seen a proper church barrel organ. I have a question, if an electric blower was fitted in 1960, surely it must have been played at that time, which makes it 80 years ??
As I understood from the talk, the organ had been played with the keyboard more recently, but the barrel part had been imperative for over 100 years.
See my previous reply - The answer to your question is: it is a combined barrel and finger (or manual) organ. The barrel mechanism part of the organ was disconnected before 1920 or in 1920 at the very latest. The manual part of the organ remained unaffected. Peter Evans
🎉❤🎉Thanks❤🙏 for such a nice warm sincere Video! It's greatly done! Blessings to the All the Congregation! I admire to watch the film to see the well-known faces and to listen to the wonderful sounds of the Organ! 👍💯 Great👍😊👍 Job, Nigel! 🙏❤❤
Thank you, dear Irina
Excellent job great editing really entertaining film full watch time and hit the thumbs up.
Many thanks for your comments. I enjoyed making it.
Great camera work, what camera do you film with?
Canon XF100. Records in HD onto a Compact Flash card. Use a tripod and Rode mics.
Most interesting - similar to the little organ at Grosmont in Wales, which has one manual, a short pedalboard and a barrel with 12 hymns, dating from around 1890.
Well done!
