This is so helpful, I didn't catch on all those things when I individually bought the index knuckles, frome the index as I still use the HTC Vive 2016 (waiting for a banger headset to come out one day) (I bought the knuckles because I needed replacement of the old vive controllers, which I'm never gonna buy again, might as well finaly change them) Thank you so much, this helps me so much. I still have yet to try the changes I need to make, but your review (which is nice that it's two years after their release) gave me hope again, now that I know that THERE IS a way to have "ok" finger tracking

Not sure why youtube threw this video at me now, but... Re: stick drift, you'll find complaints about it with almost every controller, as this is a physical limitation of potentiometer based thumbsticks. As metal slides against metal, their internals wear down over time and then you have the problem of the stick no longer having the correct resistances near the center point which is the root cause of stick drift. It can also be a symptom of the contacts simply being dirty, which may be solved temporarily by spraying a bit of contact cleaner in the sticks. Modular and easily swappable sticks are one solution, but a better one would be to implement hall effect sticks that simply don't suffer from this problem to begin with as they don't rely on physical contact of materials that wear down in normal use. Additionally, a common failure point unique to the Index controllers that could have used a mention is the capacitive sensor in the thumbsticks. This, it turns out, is connected with a ribbon cable so small and so fragile it has a tendency to break in normal use.

I've come across your post on reddit and while your neighbour is certainly in the wrong and seem like absolute scum, the way you're antagonizing the people you're asking for help isn't going to get you anywhere. Constantly threatening them with 'we are holding you liable' and telling them how they need to do their job and that it should be done as a priority over everyone else is the reason why they seem so frustrated with you. You may be speaking calmly but you certainly aren't being very reasonable or polite. Making this video targeting the poor sod assigned to this issue for not having seen CCTV before making contact with problem neighbours is an awful idea and won't win you any favours. I suggest you apologize and approach with a better attitude if you cannot go through the council or housing associations. I mean jesus, even trying to frame a thumbs-up as some sort of approval of their behaviour when all he's asked them is if he should go around the back is such a stretch it's insane!

I’m getting a pc soon so should I get the valve index or HTC vive?

My keyboard on the Tab S7 stopped working , not detected ,after the latest firmware update, I tried all the online advice but still not detected by the tab S7...any help will help, yes I did press and hold the Fn and Spacebar but still not detected at all....

do you have any fixes for an overly sensitive touchpad and joystick? i've found that in some games even having my thumb near the touchpad is enough to set it off, and touching the joystick even without actually moving it, just resting my thumb on it will cause you to start creeping forward when you dont want to be. I've also found in some games the grab function only activates on my index's if i place my thumb on the side of the controller, which makes trying to move or turn with anything in my hands incredibly difficult

Being a happy owner of a Reverb G2 (since it has great visuals, audio, comfort etc), I am always envious of more advanced controller methods. The WMR controllers are functional enough play games, but they miss a lot of the granularity and immersion that the vive controller has. Still, I won't invest in light houses just for the controllers. However, if Valve ever release a index successor. I might consider selling the G2 and buy into their eco-system. Because now I know I always want VR as a part of my gaming interest.

Going to try this after im done re-installing, but its always hard to find if a game supports controller + mouse simultaneously. Controller for 360 degree movement, mouse for fine gyro aiming.

bro u are god i have valve index when i played boneworks i loved this mechanic when u need to reject stick two times to run but when i played TWDS&S u need to PRESS stick. in the reviews I saw that they often break with pressing I didn't have one but I was afraid to break it
