Many years ago when I was working as a delivery driver, I had several deliveries of mechanical parts to the engineering workshop at the McCain's cold store and chip factory. The workshop was round the back, a few yards away there were 2 mine shafts side by side that were gated off. The portals were about 20ft across, semi circular, heading eastwards, and sloped down at maybe a 30 degree angle. I asked one of the engineers about them, he said there were used to dump rubbish etc down. I asked him how deep they were, and he said "Effing deep"! They were part of the ironstone workings at Easton and had their own little tramway going westwards towards the A1.

@@stephendaddysadventures7045 Cool. They were definitely there around 1988/89. The whole cold store site was a huge rail yard and sidings with workshops and loco sheds etc. The iron ore came up the adits on a conveyor to a gantry before dropping into rail cars. I saw the gantry, it was massive.

The 165s are not permitted in Cornwall. The 165s will displace a few more 150s in Devon to allow more 150s to work in Cornwall. The plan is to use the 175s to replace 158s, 165s and 166s on long-distance services. You choose about the wetteset winter in 20 odd years to visit (leaving aside 2012/13 and the "Great Flood"). The mega puddle you retreated back from is up to 3 inches deep and I have been wearing wellies since Nov/Dec time. You could have gone the other way round and walked along the high level path running besides the fenced upper meadow, that path drops down to the railway track at the far end, but it is also pretty muddy at the moment. The site is a SSSI for it`s wet neutral grassland But by April it should be pretty dry again and in fact for 6-7 months of the year, there is usualy no standing water in evidence on the site. There are a few fragments of railway infrastructure left and at the southern end of the reserve you will find the brick supports of an iron girder bridge that was in situ when the railway was active.

great vid' in the early 90's i and a few friends climbed up the park side entrance and into that side cave entrance on the upper left as you look up towards derby road' it goes back around around 20 feet into a small sized room. also i believe it was actually never used as a horse an cart route' as the gradient back in the day was too steep. The architect Thomas Hind created many of the mansions in the park estate' and i think is the creater of this tunnel too' i think etc, anyhow great to see it again. cheers.

Class 150s are 150/0 are a 3 car class, class 150/1 are a 2 car class are the gangway within unit and finally class 150/2 are the gangway throughout. All Northern Trains 🚆 are now nicely newly refurbished and repainted into the 2nd Northern Rail livery. Other class 150s are with the 2 other train 🚆 companies are Great Western Railway 🚃 and Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 are the2 car class 150/2. 20 of the class 150/2 are with Great Western Railway 🚃 and 36 of the class 150/2 are with Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. By around perhaps 🤔 Wednesday 31st December 2025 (New Year’s Eve) fireworks 🎆 🎇 💥 🥳 👑 🍺 🍻 🥂 🎉 🎉 🎊 🎊 🪅 🪅 🎈 🎈 🎈 🎈, 36 x 2 class 150/2 will be off lease from Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and most or all of them will perhaps 🤔 hope will go to Northern Rail otherwise they could also go to Great Western Railway 🚃 in less than 3 years time. Class 150202/207/216/219/221/232-234/238/239/243/244/246-249/261/263/265/266 are with Great Western Railway 🚃 and class 150208/213/217/227/229-231/235-237/240-242/245/250-260/262/264/267/278-285 are with Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Class 150269/270 are on loan from Northern Rail to Transport For Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 since Frida 15th July 2022 because they are covering for the class 150241 or 150242 and definitely 150279 being damaged. All class 150s are standard accommodation only conveying a toilet 🚻 🚽 and non smoking 🚭accommodation. I like 👍 the class 150s. I been on them. They are based on provincial services such as main and branch lines. Cool 😎 🆒 inside the trains 🚆 and high up ⬆️ 🔝 🆙 . In the south west England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I’ve been on the Cornish branch lines are Plymouth to Gunnislake is the Tamar Valley Line, Liskeard to Looe is the Looe Valley Line, Par to Newquay is the Atlantic Coast Line, Truro to Falmouth line is the Maritime Line, St Erth to St Ives is the St Ives Bay Line, Devon branch lines are Exeter to Barnstaple is the Tarka Line, Exeter to Okehampton is the Dartmoor Line, Exeter to Exmouth is the Avocet Line, Exeter to Paignton is the Riviera Line and finally main lines. Northern Rail runs everyday and public holidays except Christmas 🎄🎅 Day and perhaps 🤔 Boxing 🥊 Day. If Northern Trains 🚂 run on Boxing 🥊 Day, limited services run. 😀😀😀 👍👍👍 ❤️❤️❤️
