My Top 5 Maisto/Burago 1/18 diecast model cars
Bburago did a pretty good job with their models when they were Italian made. Given their price, they offered a lot of value for money, and delivered models 80-90% of some models that were 2-3x the price. Some people will take them apart and repaint/add details but for most people, out of the box is just fine. Since Maisto bought the company, I've noticed their quality has dropped, most notably in castings and paint quality. But these old Italian Bburagos are quite decent.
they are not LP, they are P. L stands for « longitudinal{é} ». The engine is transverse inside the Miura, which provide this car a sleek, compact design.
What about inside trunk, engine room, aero wing? Which one is better. I have plan to buy one of them. Frankly I still wait Autoart will make Sian.
Question: "Is the Kysho really worth 5x the value if the Burago?" - Answer: no. The amount of money the actual market ask for the Kyosho is insane and out of this world. Of course the last one is recent and very well done but we are still talking about toys (yes, we still call that models but they are toys, for adult but still toys) and after 1 or at least 2-3 times you appreciate the interior, you will never see again, so at 1 meter distance both are 95% accurate to the real car and just this is in favor of a 30 years toy/model like the Bburago one. I mean, prices are skyrocketing now for scale model cars and this is unacceptable. Remember when diecast Autoart cost us max 75-90 bucks, now they throw us composite at the triple cost. Are you kidding me? Come on, wake up people. I love, really love the Countach (like any italians like me) but i never pay 250/300€ for a 1/18 car, for that price i can buy a 1/6 scale statue in polystone handspainted.
I would have to agree with you that the Kyosho is not worth x5 of the Burago. This is the only new Kyosho model I have bought as it is of a car that I grew up loving and is of the colour scheme that was always my favourite. Even though the detail and proportions are alot better than the Burago, the gaps and closing lines of opening compartments are probably the worst of all the brands I own. I have a few other Kyosho models, but they were bought second hand.
Of course the Kyosho is much better in details and proportions but it cost a fortune while back in 1991 when the BBurago Countach was released the price was extremely cheap for what you had back. To my opinion the BBurago has something that makes it very attractive and I think the huge rims: 30 years ago the restomod didn't exist but nowadays are a thing, well, the huge rims of the BBURAGO Countach make me think to a real Countach restomod

Beautiful modelcars ❤🖤
Awesome Collection Nick, cheers 👏 ✌️ 👍
Thank you. And thanks for watching
I have an XW… looks tougher…
The real car or a model of an XW? I had an XW 20 years ago. 302 Cleveland C4. The guy I sold it to put it in his shed and has not touched it in 20 ➕️ years.
@@Nick-qv5fv 🤣Model! Man! I miss my HK GTS 186S 4 speed. Bought it in 1990 with 53k miles on it, from original owner with original dealer papers…$3300. Sold it 5 years later. Spewing!!!
@@Nick-qv5fv Before that HG 253 auto, slower than six and drank like a sailor!🤣
@kallekas8551 hahaha. If only we knew what they would be worth in the future, we would of held onto them
@@Nick-qv5fv 🤣Yep!
Io ho quella della Burago identica a quella nel video e devo dire che è fatta bene
Nice Ferrari 458 trio!! I have the same Speciale in my collections. 😊👍🏼 Love your matt Spyder.
Thanks for watching. I love the 458. The Matt black Syder is a nice model. I'm not sure if anyone makes one, but I'd love to see a white 458.
awesome collection
Thanks. I picked up the 458 Spyder recently at a local swap meet. Great model
@@Nick-qv5fv indeed a great find. i only have the basic hot wheels 458 spider where only the doors open and there were less details on the dash so i had to paint them myself you can check my review on it if you want
The correct pronunce of its name is "SEE-UN". The name Sian means "Flash" in the Emilia Romagna's dialect
Thanks for pointing that out to me
nice collection! what's the black four door at 3:59 and who is the manufacturer?
Thanks for watching. The black 4 door is a 1968 Ford XT GT Falcon. An Australian built Ford.
maisto, while not offering fine detailing, is quite consistent in their quality control. unfortunately, solido QCs are often a hit or miss. I have suffered through solidos with scratched roofs, matte blotches on otherwise gloss paint coats, and transparent tapes that leave marks on the roof.
the biggest problem with the bburago are the large size wheels. and the tail lights being cheap looking. but really, its the wheels that are immediately noticable. otherwise, if you can find one at mint condition you have a great display piece.
I agree. The wheels do stand out alot to be out of scale
Lmao. I love its oversized pimp wheels, the stance is more badass.
generally speaking any version you can find at costco/sams will be packaged as a maisto and wont have side windows, while the online versions that sell for twice the price often do.
Why no comment
The black one
I like the black ones interior, but the red exterior
Good cool collection ❤😂.?
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe .
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it
😊
KK Scale is nice, but i would take the Bburago because it is cheaper and has openings. (since F40 is not on my hot list)
The Kyosho Lamborghini Countach is gorgeous and more in scale. The Bburago Countach is acceptable due to its price point, but still relatively details and have a lot of parts. The AutoART version of Countach looks very similar to the Kyosho, and the engine is slightly better detailed. Definitely worth considering adding to your collections. 😊👍🏼
Haha.. nice.. i have the exact same Bburago Ferrari F40. I have done a review on it too, it is a very nice model overall. 😊👍🏼
They are actually the same mold as both Maisto & Bburago belong to the same company, May Cheong Group
You are correct. I was surprised to see the burago had windows were as the maisto does not. Being the same mold, I thought there would be any differences. Thanks for watching
@Nick-qv5fv In Malaysia, Bburago is priced slightly higher than Maisto so that could explain the window/windowless feature 😅
I like the Solido. In the last years Solido stepped up their game in 1/18 models. And very good price.
I agree. Solido and KK scale are great value for money. Great detail for budget models. Thanks for watching
Both are really nice. I don't like Sian design that much, but the new Countach is really nice. I like the white Countach with red interior.
The new Countach is nice. I have a limited edition yellow one with red interior. I might get the white one too😅
Maisto version can open the spoiler, i don't know if Burago version can.
I had to check after reading your comment as I didn't know. The Burago spoiler opens too
@@Nick-qv5fvhow? I just bought a bburago and there i can’t figure out how to do it
@@theodraws5887The spoiler on both the Burago and Maisto tilts upwards approx 5 to 10 degrees when lifted. It is not much, but both mine do it. I hope that helps?
Why is the wheel offset on the Kyosho so weird
The wheels on the Kyosho by scale represent a more accurate example of the actual car than the burago does.
I also picked up one of the Kyoshos in that very white-on-red spec, it looks amazing, maybe not as good as the one from AUTOart all those years ago but it's a great model at not that outrageous a price.
Yeh it does look great. I have not seen the autoart version in person, only in videos. This model wasn't too badly priced, but the new release Ferraris by Kyosho are getting very expensive
Green.
Green for me too. Thanks for watching
The black one
what brand is black miura?
The Black Miura is a Kyosho. The interior is so good on that model. Thanks for watching
80-99 Ferrari design is something
In the Kysho model the Far Headlights looks openable, it is huge.
Yes the headlights do lift open on the kyosho model
In the late 90's father presented me a 1/24 model for birthday or New Year. And later I had a possibility to tell which model I like more. But in those old Burago's model cathalog Countach looked like the most low cost and cheap model, I never wanted it. Tho I bet your Borago's Countach is form more modern generation. The biggest upset I could expect form Burago is non-opening hood/trunk
I think the 1/18 burago countach might be a 30 year old design. If they were to design one today, I believe it would be slightly better. Thanks for watching

Thank you for watching and Subscribing. Have a great weekend too.
Very cool man!! I love your collection! Where did you buy the display cases from?
Hello and thanks for watching. They are from Ikea. I believe they are changing the design to a wooden frame rather than framless like these cabinets. Well that is the case in Australia anyway.
I have that Solido version of this Ford too and I really like it. Some other good news is that they will also bring the modern Ford GT of this oIder version of Ford and it will have the same paint job (black with golden stripes). I plan to get that one too to display them togheter (as an old model from Ford with a more recent model) 😁👍
