This year we did less but still had some fun. Watch how we transformed our side yard into a small pumpkin patch where the skeletons were picking the perfect pumpkins. Ojai Haunt
Jack-o'-lantern Wall

I cut a ton of foam pumpkins in half and made a glowing wall of Jack O Lantern's! Backed them with yellow craft foam and I just used remote tea lights. These were simple and easy to make. Ojai Haunt

A long but hopefully detailed video showing you all how I map out my pumpkins. Take the trio set and separate them in different spots. This took me one evening to create. There are probably other ways to do this, but this way works and it FAST! Here is a link to get your PUMPKINS! bit.ly/4hnnafK MUSIC: Scary Pumpkin by Romanov_Studio Ojai Haunt
Giant Foam Pumpkins
มุมมอง 4033 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is how I made my pumpkins. Super fun and I scored the foam for free, so that was a huge help with time and money. In all these cost me only $100 to make, yet they did take forever, but WORTH IT! History on the giant eggs. They were a 2019 Easter Egg sculpture Exhibit at the Ojai Valley Inn, I'm still trying to find more info. I remember seeing the original eggs on display. Here are some vi...
UV Glow pumpkins

I painted all my pumpkins to glow in a UV Blacklight. I used NEON PAINTS & Rust-Oleum Fluorescent Spray Paint. Black light 365nm a.co/d/6uTHDWo The strength of the fluorescence effect is determined by the wavelength of the UV light. The 320-380 nm range is where most fluorescence is strongest, with a peak at 365 nm. Cheap UV lights usually are usually 405nm or 395nm and are fairly blue, while 3...

4th of July is over, you know what that means!! Join me as I pick up my first prop for 2024 and show you what we have been up to over spring and summer. Ojai Haunt
What did you use to generate the mist in the bucket? Awesome!
A mini fog mister like this one, I had two of them. a.co/d/9kwgFyr
So cool guys, I look up to you guys so much! It’s so cool to see you doing this!
@@Phantom-Halloween thanks! It's so fun 👻
Nice rack. You guys have a lot of toys.
I especially liked the walk through pumpkin with pumpkin guts.
An original prop with a design I've never seen before. Cool.
Thanks! 🙏 the kids loved it.
So good!
Awesome job! So sorry we couldn’t see this in person…:(
You guys absolutely killed it once again!! Just amazing!!! 🏆👻🕷️🕸️🎃
It's always fun and helpful to see hiw everyone else makes their motion skeletons! Thank you for showing us. 😁
It's so fun love making the skeletons come to life!
This is excellent! I think the thing that was needed was a ratcheting neck disc !? So the spine acts as a unit, but then the neck vertebra actually ratchet/move !? I am sure between the 2 of you, you'll come up with something !? For an "off year," this still took a LOT of work ! Thanks for sharing with this East Coast gal !
Thank you! It was a lot of work, but worth it. It's always an adventure, and a learning curve.
Dig it!
Thanks! 🎃
Never mind saw it here, thanks! What is the diamond glaze for? To make it look wet? If that's the reason, doest it stay wet or does it dry but gives the illusion of it being wet?
Diamond glaze dries crystal clear and hard. It's an adhesive glue. I love this stuff so much it's my go to for many props. Thanks 😊
Great job, what did you use to create the tendrils?
So charming and impressive! You guys knock it out the park every year and as a bonus, I always pick up a new skill. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, it was fun to build!🎃
Awesome! Make and take project
Maybe 🤔
Such a fun set up! Everything looks amazing, loved your pumpkin room btw
Thank you, we had a lot of fun with the pumpkin room this year!🎃
Really nice display. Thanks for the walk through/BTS stuff. I really like seeing how other's do things. Lots of good stuff here. I liked the bobbing skeletons. BTW sometimes if you are trying to hide or make a transparent projection screen/scrim harder to see try setting up some props in the background of to the sides of the animation behind the screen and then light those props with various types of lighting pointed toward the props but not the screen. Maybe try a something like a couple of tombstones on one side or each side from where the action takes place. While doing this it also helps to have some hard edge of covering the edges of the screen. Kinda think like a fence with an opening and a thick archway across the opening. The screen would essentially attach behind the fence panels and behind the archway, like a picture frame so to speak. This in conjunction with well placed colorful lit props or shrubs in the background should help detract from the stark edge transition of the screen in mid air. Also if possible try to put the projector low and have it project over from behind an object where you cannot see the projector lens. This will help to reduce the hotspot flair on the screen. Hope you find this information useful. Thanks for sharing such a great display.
Thank you so much for the awesome tips, we did do some of that for the finished project. We used cornstalks to frame the screen and I used back lighting on our bushes. Next year will be a cemetery and I can't wait to make it better! 👻
@@OjaiHaunt The corn stalks are a great idea! The Cemetery is a timeless classic and I am looking forward to seeing it!
Looks spectacular
Thanks 😊
So MANY great ideas here ! Thanks for showing the build up. I LOVE the purple "guide lines" to keep people from going into the props ! Love the purple against the orange as well. All kinds of stuff at different levels, so lots to see/experience for everyone! Bet sone of those kids will grow up to have their own haunts ! P.s. love your sweet little dog ❤❤❤❤!
Thanks, it was a very small kid friendly haunt and fun hearing the excitement from the kids.
I use magnetic part bowls to keep things from dropping. Very cheap, but handy. Even use them for sewing so no pins or needles escape !
Yes they come in handy! We ordered these awesome magnetic's off Amazon's and I use them whenever we can.
Love it ! So much work, but truly worth it !
It was fun to build and a lot of work, but I agree totally worth it! 👻
Lol I love getting glimpses into how your vision comes together! The pumpkin wall is such a great idea.
It’s so much fun to see it come together too! 🎃
I have this perfect storm unit brand new and bought it probably in 2004 maybe never tried using it it but it’s getting harder to find incandescent bulbs it won’t work with LEDs what are you using, looks like lantern lights of some sort. Thanks
I used LED floodlights, I added the link in the description. They work really well. It's a great prop.
This was a fantastic build and phenomenal finished product! Absolutely love the way this was lit, inside and out.
Thank you! I had a lot of fun with the lighting, and the fog. We used Foggys fog pumpkin spice. Kids loved it so much they didn't want to leave.
As always, so awesome! I wish we could have seen it in person...
Thanks! I wish you could have seen it too. 👻 I want to see yours one day.
I love how you added seeds and pumpkin guts, really clever <3
Thanks so much! 🎃
Fantastic haunt ! I love how it looks so seperate, than all of a sudden, everything snaps into place ! You obviously have done this long enough to have the vision for it ! Do kids have to come through for Candy ? To be honest, I wouldn't have had the "guts" as a kid to go through that tunnel/cave ! Lol 😁 Love the speakers, great idea !
It was fun to build but the kids love it!🎃 I added pumpkin spice sent to the fog machine the kids don't want to leave because to smells so good! I only hand out candy on Halloween night.
This is sick!!
Thanks 🙏
Well done!
You are lucky to have someone to share hour Halloween visions.. A great helper willing to tackle some hard work. I am a solo operator. Took this year off because the older I get, the harder it is to do by myself. 😢 So thank your young fella. 🎃🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤🎃 Your giant pumpkin mouth with guts was such a great idea! It looked amazing and fun! Thanks for the heads up on those Ryobi speakers. I think that's exactly what I have been looking for, so I'll go start searching, lol.
It's hard to be solo, my husband is a firefighter so he's gone a lot and I have to save the big stuff for when he is home. I'm always so worried when the fires start, if he'll be home at all. It's getting harder for myself too. We are slowly scaling down. Our regular Visitors have noticed already.
Sign. I understand. The passion is there, the desire to create is there, but the stamina is still on the couch. Lol. Not to mention the creaky knees. I know people are disappointed but I don't hear any volunteers either, lol. Much respect to your husband. That's a hard calling - not enough people appreciate them. 👋🏼🙏🏼
OK the Apache case is brilliant! totally doing that!
Harbor Freight has some good deals on them.
@@OjaiHaunt you bet I just never realized I needed a case other that the cardboard box my projector came but I do now
Lol that pup has claimed you, hasn't it? Like a shadow. 😍
@@BeeHus2256 she follows me everywhere 😝
Looks fantastic!!! Might have to buy that projector! Thanks, for going into detail , so I can do something similar!
Looks Great! Happy Halloween!
❤❤️🖤😍
I watch your videos for motivation but then I wind up watching another. They turned out awesome!
Thanks, it's hard not to get sidetracked lol 👻
This is so sweet and amazing, yayyy!
Looks amazing!!
Thanks!
Wow that was a lot of work. Well done ! They came out awesome.
Thanks so much! 👻
Wow those came out super awesome great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for the comment 🎃🖤🎃
Awesome job! Loved the way they turned out.
@Captiv8r75 thanks! 🎃 🎃
So gorgeous! If you ever decide it's time to part with them Gothic Hills will be happy to buy them 😅 when we return from hiatus we are adding a pumpkin patch lol
@@TroyKristoffer Thanks. I'll have to remember that. I definitely want to hang onto them for a few years. I might have to sell other props to make room. 😝
Back to watch the rest of the video. I loved it ! I originally thought it was way to much detail, but seeing the end results, I was wrong. They turned out amazing !
Thank you so much! Yeah, they are giant but simple guys. 🎃🎃
Those are amazing, nothing wrong wirh a good long video every once in a a while to break up the constant short term censory barrage. Always a big fan of your creations and your home haunt! You guys are uber talented
Glad you liked it, and thank you. 🎃🎃
Loving the jelly jar as cheese grater tip ! I have tons of those jars around. Will be doing this !
I also used it for my demo dogs. It's a nice little carving toy. 🎃
Wow, leaving them in the sun 2 1/2 years sure saved you some prep time, lol 😆! Love when that happens !
You got that right! It was satisfying too. 🎃👻🎃
