Magnifique musique de la serie d'amicalement votre qui a bercé mon enfance. Cette serie a eu du succès grâce au doublage du comédien Michel Roux ( voix française de tony curtis).

It's a combination of electric harpsichord (Baldwin), pipe organ and piano. Maybe more. A lot of John Barry's orchestrations relied on doubling or overdubbing parts with different instruments for texture. The main melody line of The Persuaders' theme was played on cimbablom and Kantele by John Leach and augmented with mandolin and mandola, both played by Hugo D'Alton. The session took place at George Martin's Air studios on Oxford Street in July 1971, in the presence of Martin himself who, according to Barry, made one or two suggestions in terms of balance. Wow. I haven't heard this cut for decades. I thought this was by far the better version. It worked completely and also fitted so well with the other tracks on the Happiness album. This version should have been on the album. I'm really pleased you've made this available. This is the one I'll listen to from now on.

Am I the only one who hears the blatant similarity between this and Genetic Engineering? The 1:29 part is super similar instrumentally, you can even sing the former's chorus over this one.

Didn't particularly like the series, BUT I tuned in purely to listen to the spellbindingly iconic song of the absolute genius that was John Barry. A composer who ranks up there even with the superlative John Williams
