Different guitar, different amp, different recording method, decent results. My favorite rock band.

Chug, chug, chug. This time I put an OD pedal in front of the amp to tighten up the amp's low end flub just a tad. Also dialed down the 80/240 frequencies on the EQ a bit to help with that.

It's rather interesting how far the gain is dialed back on the entire album. A 6.5 on the Cal 50 vol/gain dial did the trick. No boost.

Among other things, quad-tracking the guitars is one of the key components to nail that Black Album tone.
