Wow i had a brother that had a 1989 Electra Park Ave.. I only got to drive it once to drop one of his friends off back home.. Very floaty ride.
My dream car! A youth leader from church had one, a 1988 Park Avenue..I just fell in love with the car...My parents always had sports cars and I hated the hump in the rear seat on long trips..we had a 1980 Camaro then..No gadgets..basic model but it did have a 305 V-8 4bbl carb,,fast car..If I remember right it was not a very reliable car..it left us stranded across town buying furniture once and then the shift linkage or tumbler whatever it was called went out 4 times!! 80's were not reliable GM cars! I always asked dad "Why can't we have a Cadillac like the realtor has and he would say those are for old farts!
My first car was 89 Buick Century, red with red cloth interior. It is sad that GM does not make sedans any more.
Hated cleaning those wire wheels, brake dust city
BEAUTY!!!!!❤
Similar hood mechanism for example in Saab 900 and BMW 5 series, very good
2:00 Close but not quite. That was the turbocharging logo. It has nothing to do with whether or not the block is a Grand National block. But I can understand how that would confuse people.
Wow. That's really nice. I remember these as a kid when they were brand new....and my father grumbling about GM downsizing their full size cars except for the Caprice. My dad was always a proud Buick man, so buying a Chevy was a step back in his mind.
Is the Buick for sale and if so how much
Nice
A real Buick!!! Not a Chinese plastic fantastic piece of shit so called Buick
Is it for sale?
She’s a beauty! My buddy’s mother had a brand new 1985 Park Avenue and I remember riding around in that back in elementary school. It was such a comfortable car.
What a beautiful car my grandma had an 86 and lasted meany years
I must confess that I have always had a borderline obsession with the front drive GM C/H bodies.......this is where GM REALLY got their crap together & produced, at least in the case of the Buicks, the most trouble-free American car ever!!!!! Fun fact: Although the PA & T-type had the 3.8 as standard, 1985 was the only year to offer a carbureted base 3.0-liter V6 engine & an optional 4.3-liter V6 diesel engine. 1985 was also the only year for that style rear-view mirror.
Beautiful and pretty car the Buick Park Avenue 85. Great, solid and comfortable car
A 1985 Buick Park Avenue with red interior has a chime? I thought that any 1985 Buick Park Avenues that had red interior had the scary buzzer in place of the chime. Could you kindly replace the chime in this Buick Park Avenue with a scary buzzer from a 1977-82 Buick LeSabre?
Sheesh!! Beautiful gem of a car. And well cared for. Ur one lucky guy. Good Luck with it.
Nice 🥰
I would have to buy this if I had a space in my garage - this looks like the kinda car that Bill Pahl would show on his channel, “Curious Cars”.
Great American car
Beautiful car. Had one myself for years. Bulletproof
Really nice Buick. That rough idle was normal for the 3.8 thru ‘87 until the 3800 came out in 1988 with the balance shaft.
$5000 tops. It’s just a Buick not an S class Benz of that era.
I remember those plates
Those plates were used from 1976 to 1978, then Michigan switched to white and black for 1979 to '83, and the "Great Lake State" slogan reappeared. Then came the white and blue plates beginning in 1984, with the slogan shortened to "Great Lakes."
Very Nice.
You need to keep that top clean and treated so it stays in that condition. I remember the hood and how it opens. Pretty much all the Buicks from around that time had those style hoods. That 6 on the engine was associated with the turbo charged Regal that came out before the Grand National. Those 6s were in several locations on the car. The first 3.8s idled like shit.
Is this still for sale? If so, contact info please. Thanks.
You can email me macklin_5@yahoo.com
selling it?
I had that.
it's a beauty for sure wish I had the cash
FOR SALE?
Can I contact you or vice versa? I would like to purchase it if it is still available. And I will pay you what it is worth. Pls let me know if there is a way I can speak to you.
Museum piece
looks tight.. I'm interested! how much?? within reason.. just asking . had 2 in high-school.. Best days..
🎶.......it's a Moooonza, by Chevrolet!!🎶
bad ass
nice survivor in super condition,.....my first car was a 77 notchback, silver, factory V8 5.0,....i got it in 1986, i was 16,...i sold it in 1990, found it again 18 years later, trashed but not wrecked,...did an every nut and bolt restoration,....now it will not run due to fuel delivery issue with the in tank fuel pump. not many people now even know what a monza is, or they just do not remember them.
Sweet, nice, what else?
Sweet ride! I love these Monzas. It's too bad there are so few left on the road.
I miss my 76.
The wedge Camaro stole a lot of looks from that car
Had a white 76 for a very long time and then gave it away. It still ran great, but was falling apart. Really sorry I wasn't able to get it restored. Loved the car!!!! 😞
What a nicely preserved H-body!
Is it for sale.?
I actually am thinking of selling, now
How much ?
Oh Wow! I see you're a real KISS collector like me. If its not ace,Peter, Paul and Gene its not worth collecting.
Beautiful
Nice. But i hate red interior.
total show stopper
I remember taking test drive in a black 1979 Spyder. I don’t remember if it was an automatic nor manual Transmission but it was a beautiful car with the spyder detail on the hood. The son of the Chevy dealership’s owner showed me it and tried to convince me “this was the car for me”. Not a sales job but as a friend. I wish I had listened to him. I didn’t buy it. I ended up buying a 1979 Fiat 131 Super Brava manual coupe in Champagne with medium tan leather interior. That was a fun car to drive too. Not was fast as the Spyder but those Fiat’s could handle.
My best friend bought a black ‘79 spyder, 4-speed, brand new. He was a mechanic at my dads auto shop. Still has it, starting restoration. We had some good times in that little rocket!!
