Guts and Blackpowder - The Good Ending
Finally, it's Friday Night...
I've been playing Guts & Blackpowder ever since it was just one map, so I'd thought I'd make this short animation based on some of the characters in it.
(I'm sorry, I know this isn't Phantom Forces... BUT i really wanted to give a bit of love to G&B...)
Started on this mid June, completed late July.

I really feel like Guts and Blackpowder kind of lost its sense of desperation ever sense the introduction of campaign mode. Don't get me wrong, I think it was a great update, but I just think Guts and Blackpowder doesn't feel the same, I remember when the game felt mysterious, desperate, and kind of scary. The original trailer for the game set a great tone for it, and I just feel like the game doesn't hit like it used to. I remember when it was just you, one map, 5 classes and an endless horde of zombies. The game just felt so unlikely, I feel like the expansion of the game will eventually be its downfall, the simple-ness of the old game just felt so much more scarier, I think the introduction of the surgeon and chaplain also kind of ruined that feeling, It used to feel like once chance, if you lost health, there was no sure way of being healed, if you got infected, that was it. The game just felt so much more uncertain in the early days.
