i have a 850 massey and a 510
Had one of these (an 865). Total junk. The most unreliable combine ever, and I’ve had 2 New Hollands, 3 John Deeres, 3 Claas and a Case Axial Flow.

@@rodneycody8746 Well in my opinion combines have got less reliable as the years have gone by. I started off with 2 New Holland 1540s. The only breakdown I can remember was when a fan blade came off and went through the radiator on one of them. We traded them in for Claas Dominator 98s. They were reliable enough, but struggled to make a clean sample in barley. You either accepted a dirty sample or you put the crop over the back! They made way for a John Deere 1188 and the Massey 865. l would rank the 1188 very highly, until it caught fire and was a write off. It was followed by a John Deere 2066, which gave endless trouble and was quickly changed for a 9660, which was even worse. We only kept it for two harvests and it didn’t even finish the second one. I vowed never to have another John Deere combine. We then got a Case Axial Flow, which was brilliant and did five trouble free harvests, but we had no straw to sell. We now have a Claas Tucano, which is fine but suffers from endless faults with it’s stupid Ad Blu system. In order? Case Axial Flow, New Holland 1540, John Deere 1188, Claas Tucano, Claas Dominator 98, John Deere 2066, Massey 865, John Deere 9660.
Where were the combines made in Canada or UK?
I can tell you right your shelling your oats out on the ground before it's hittingvthe cutter bar. Them type reels are no good for oats. Ran a combine since I was 7 years old and every model of Massey beginning with the 21A

Yields not record breaking but fantastic straw though!
Only 1 is an 865. The other 2 are just 860's. Only one has the return from the chaffers that I can see
What's the yield? Sure not breaking speed records.
kinnymonster certainly not record breaking yields but taking it steady as combine no.3 was untested as only delivered a few days before and so didn't block it up.
@Ian Hotson Speed is an indication of the yield. Was just wondering what the yield was.

Pan Pan Well spotted- it was the driver's first play for a few years and they got it slowed down..
Reels going miles to fast, would be thrashing the oats out before they get inside the combine.
Had 3 860s on the family farm going up, miss those machines.
