    on your sugestion i watched this short review Snatchy trottel i recently read that a lot of "big" bikes which have fuel injection have this problem Things can be done about that like ECU tune My 2024 Kawi Z900RS also has a snatchy trottel but slowely i got used to it. For me a snatchy trottel would not be a deal breaker From what we previously chat about i do think this is not the bike for you and you might regret it very fast if you bought it Things that you told me before like feeling the engine hot not having a huge storage under the seat i think would be a bigger concern for you And the most important i guess is your wife is not comfortable on the back which maybe one day makes her dont want to ride with you Any way great video Willi from Melaka

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes Willi, ever since Fuel Injection was introduced to motorcycles since decade or more ago, most motorcycles has struggled with snatchy throttle issues, some tried to solve it with ecu tune which help abit, I still remember years ago i tried the first generation Tracer 900 and the snatchy throttle was terrible, but to make the Xadv worst other than snatchy throttle it didn’t have a clutch to smoothen or control the moving off. But im sure its all about getting use to it, but again i know a friend who sold the Xadv and back to normal manual motorcycle. Thanks again for watching my videos Willi, do follow me on Instagram if you have one and I’ll follow back. Keep in touch. Cheers

      @@FizoTravel Like i said my Z900RS also has a snatchy trottle I saw one video on TH-cam where the guy changed the throttle handle of his Z900RS to one which has a longer range open to close and hhe said this helped a lot Honestly i feel it is a huge miss from respected motorcycle brands to give us a snatchy trottle when there are easy solutions to fix it Your commenting of a snatchy trottle on the first gen Tracer 900 same thing with the first gen of MT-09 I don`t know some times i feel many motorcycle brands don`t give us much love any more It is not only the snatchy trottle i mean but take for example my Kawi some of the screws already start rusting after the bike was less than 2 months old. Also the clutch lever and front brak lever are not the same model don`t know how to explain 1 lever is a curved shape where the other lever has an angle in it At first i thought it is maybe only my bike but i noticed from TH-cam reviews others are the same To me that should not happen in a way i can understand rusty screws (i guess Kawi doesn't make the screws them self and its a 3th party issue) but a set of different looking levers to me shows bad quality control because this you can right away see. By the way coming back to the snatchy trottle on the X-ADV as far i know it has rider modes would it help or be different trottle response if you changed the rider mode to any other mode perhaps rain mode ? Last thing i`m sorry to say i don`t do any of the social media like Instagram or Facebook Have a nice day and a greet weekend take care

      @willidevegt8831 I agree with you. Even til today manufacturers can’t smoothen the throttle injection issue. Hopefully it will get better, Also agree on those screws rust issue you mentioned. hi thanks for the video my i ask why yyou chose to buy a Xmax 300 ? Is it not you need B full license for this ? If you have B full i think you can buy more powerful bike / scooter and if you dont have B full i think you not supposed to ride this scooter No offense just wondering why Xmax 300 Nevermind i already read in thhe commands you are from Singapore

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for watching brother, I have my full license in Singapore, I used to ride big normal motorcycle until i downgraded to 200cc-300cc scooters since 7-8years ago. I started with 200cc scooter which is great for city riding but then i realised 200cc scooter is underpowered for highway, upgraded to 300cc and i feel this is the sweet spot having enough power while still being economical. I used to ride 600cc-1000cc motorcycles and i hated it when riding in small tiny island Singapore where it traffic congestion is bad. Big bikes get so hot quickly hence i find the 300cc scooter is better at it while still having enough power to ride up north to Malaysia or Thailand once in awhile. Hope that explains. Thanks for watching again👍🏼

      @@FizoTravel Hey man thanks for the reply I was just wondering do you ride illegal a 300cc with B2 license or you have B full and ride "only" an "expansive" 300cc where you can have for roughly the same money a 400 / 500cc scooter / bike Yeah i understand if you mainly ride around Singapore a 300cc is more than enough but for the long distance specially like in your case with pillion and luggage i would rather have a bit more power for those times when you need to get out of the danger zone quickly I have a Kawi Z900RS which most of the time is over kill but i love the retro style. As a Dutchman living in Melaka i was wanting to buy a Kawi Z650RS which sadly not available in Malaysia How was your ride up to Genting did your scooter have some oomph left or was it just enough to go up and keep up with the rest of the traffic ? You mentioned about big bike getting hot this is true but its for me only at the traffic lights and now i wonder why you say scooter is not getting hot i thought scooter and bike with full fairing getting more hot because all around the engine is covered up and there is not so much opening for the heat to go out. Any ways i wish you many safe kilometer on your scooter keep the shiny side up

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Nice to know you’re in Melaka, my favourite historical city in Malaysia, My Xmax 300cc is original 300cc from Yamaha Agent in Singapore, not modified 300cc, i understand that the Xmax is 250cc in Malaysia due to Malaysia licensing system, in Singapore you can’t even ride an 250cc on beginner licence which is up to 200cc only. Yes the engine does get hot a little bit but nothing as bad as big motorcycle as u dont feel it on your leg or thigh and for scooter like Xmax since the engine is low and mounted on the rear swing arm, you don’t feel the heat. Yes i agree for long distance travel definitely a big motorcycle 600cc above will be better especially on the highway. But again i find my Xmax is fast enough for the speed i like to do which is 100km/h-120km/h on the highway..and if i wanted to go faster, my Xmax will be happy bringing me up to 150km/h. I can’t say the same about the 250cc version though. But still big motorcycle definitely faster on the highway. But since 80-90% of time in a year im riding in Singapore only. This Xmax is a sweet spot. And if u notice even in Malaysia the Xmax scooter is getting it popularity among Malaysia riders, and they uses it for touring too. And talking about touring, you wont need those bulky side panniers on the Xmax which will slow you down on City roads as the Xmax has the underseat storage and the size is equivalent to 2 side panniers. Cheers ps: the Yamaha Tmax will be a perfect long distance scooter with some compromise on storage space👍🏼

    • @willidevegt8831
      @willidevegt8831 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@FizoTravel Hahaha okay finally i think i understand what you mean not getting hot It is YOU not getting hot but the scooter still getting hot but the construction of the scooter makes it you wont feel the heat Yeah living in Melaka paradise city ;) Oh i dont ride with side cases at the moment but i also doubt your underseat storage would be big enough. My wife always needs to bring a lot of things with her (women right ?) LOL Yeah Xmax 250 and also Honda Forza 250 are very popular in Malaysia. If money no issue i would like to test Aprilia SRV 850 Or for my self if i wanted to buy a scooter my choice would probably be the Honda X-ADV 750 Maybe one day i see you in Melaka

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@willidevegt8831 Ya man, really not feeling the heat on Xmax😀, Regarding the storage whenever i tour on Xmax i always told my wife to pack her stuff in a bagpack, and i did mine the same too, then those two bag packs went under the seat storage and it fit nicely. And other stuff like emergency kit and rain gears goes to the rear top box. Melaka is nice, being a Malay Singaporean myself i have relatives there in Melaka, hope to see u in Melaka too when im there. Yea Xadv is good choice too, i tested it and gave my first impression review when i ride it in Thailand, you can take a look, i posted it about 1-2yrs ago. But in my opinion if i were to go for that 750cc honda engine i would go for the NC750x instead which also popular here in Singapore. Or if money isn’t an issue, go bigger..think Tracer 900, Honda Nt1100 or AfricaTwin..Or even European Brands… Fast enough for the Malaysia Plus highway. Cheers.

      Hi, its good tyre, grip well, the only thing I don’t like about this tyre is i feel that it messed up the geometry of the bike front to rear abit, its either the front is too low of the rear too tall, maybe it just me particular about it, but it gave a sporty feeling, grip is awesome too. I seen this tyres getting popular among scooter riders lately, give it a go, you might like it. And the price is good👍🏼

      How to use engine brake for cvt scooter. When going downhill cvt tend to free wheel as the speed goes up. To use engine brake, just rev the throttle for a second to reengage the cvt. It will slow you down

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel หลายเดือนก่อน

      @flyinghigh2000 You cant bro, there’s just a very little engine braking when free wheeling..the only hope is to go down slow speed and time your braking well..Cheers

    • @flyinghigh2000
      @flyinghigh2000 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Genting is not that steep. You can rev the throttle easily. When freewheeling, there is no engine braking. Only the friction from the cvt. Revving to reengage the cvt to get the engine braking is a common skill in Indonesia, where I learned this skill. It is scary to think to rev your engine on a very steep incline but it works wonders. No more over heated brakes.

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel หลายเดือนก่อน

      @flyinghigh2000 You’re right..revving is another solution but the rider must be skill and knows what he’s doing, thats why to be safe i just advise riders to go slow. Every rider is different. I myself been to Indonesia Bromo, was told by my guide there’s alot of accidents and a few deaths from scooters going down from Bromo. Anyway good to have another solution. Cheers.

    Hi Fizo, its nice hearing your journey and stories in this video. You did mention about it being stock and lasting long. What are your thoughts on non-stock builds with casual/responsible riding habits? Do you think its a bad idea? Hope to hear more from you! +1 Subscriber.

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, first of all thank you for the sub, I can’t confirm about being stock equal to long lasting, but what i can say is i always maintain the wear and tear parts stock, especially the CVT parts. For casual responsible riding i feel that moderate modifications is enough such as better suspension and braking. Engine mods or Cvt mods is not needed in my opinion. Do have fun with your Xmax if u have one or planning to get one. Good choice scooter.👍🏼

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Bernard, buying a used Xmax is a good idea as Xmax replacement parts is readily available and reasonable price if there are any replacement parts needed, However try look for a low mileage unit and also best if the unit is as stock condition as possible in the engine area. Happy Xmax hunting bro👍🏼

    Another great video!! I love your knowledge about scooters, there isn't many reviews/content about scooters. Most people don't really associate scooters with a motorcycle. But i'm glad your content focus on scooters coz they are just so practical, everyday work horse. I finally changed my tricity 125 to a forza 300 now! I agree that xmax 300 is the cheapest to maintain. Seems like suzuki burgman 400 is the only 2A scooter with rear monoshock.

      @FizoTravel 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks bro..I love scooters man….just sharing abit what i know about scooters…btw are u happy with the Forza? Forza engine is smooth. The Burgman model really needed updating, yeah the 400cc is cool with monoshock.

    • @mervineng9804
      @mervineng9804 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@FizoTravel Yupp! Very happy with the forza 300. It's just the stationary vibrations worst than 2B scooter and maintenance cost about 30% more than xmax. The good thing is lesser poison and accessories to mod HAHA. But after 30km/h engine is smooth and very comfortable.

    • @FizoTravel
      @FizoTravel 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mervineng9804 Ya man even the newer 350cc engine also vibrate when idling, but it is still a good engine though be it the 300cc and 350cc, ya Honda parts are slightly more expensive than Yamaha but atleast it is not as expensive as Sym and Kymco

    I noticed that your mileage and fuel consumption are 33 km/l, whereas mine is around 28 km/l. I purchased my vehicle in June 2022, and the current mileage is 31,000 km. I feel like my consumption is a bit high compared to yours.
