Solar inverter teardown
มุมมอง 334หลายเดือนก่อน
In this episode of Scrapping adventures. I do a full tear down of a solar inverter that I got for free on the side of the road. Very interesting to see what's inside the box. Pure #witchcraft and #wizard #magic turns the power of the sun into domestic energy. Heavy aluminium and plenty of dense copper with lovely looking circuit boards made this enjoyable and should make a good profit, consider...
Suzuki AZ-1. Huh??

Watching the boats spin around is so much fun!! I can't help watching it 😊
I was waiting for the big ship to leave but a storm delayed it.
@SeanTikiTea luxury cruise ship in front?
Is that a Honda lawnmower?
Yes
@SeanTikiTea Beautiful green 💚💚💚
@@piyo-piyo-3232 Thank you. We have finally been getting rain
nice parts to use in other things and you got my first name to my name is sean
The Alu is really good quality too. I will use it in a sculpture
Chew on it. Give it a taste test. Rate it out of 10. 😂
I’m not sure if the pen is JDM spec. Those domestic ones taste terrible 😁
Oh😮 blue tongue!! Did you speak Japanese?
No. The audio on my phone was so bad 🤪
@SeanTikiTea 😂😂😂
Cool ❤
I found it fascinating being a nerd but not mega knowledgeable.
Yep, I'm looking forward to your videos as well!!
Thank you. Hopefully have another one very soon.
That kangaroo claw! 😂😂😂😂
🦘🦘🦘
I'll need to do the same on mine, but will wait until you finish so that you can find the 'gotcha's' first. If you need any parts, just give me a shout... I may be able to help
@@gregford5030 Hopefully the next few weeks will give me a good indication of my rust levels
❤❤❤
@@piyo-piyo-3232 😎😎😎
Beautiful Cappuccino ❤
Thank you. It will be a fun project
Whats under the car skippy? ;-)
@@michelletusler6675 you’ll have to wait for the next video
Idk, maybe need some gas
Don’t think that would help 😆
Yeah, I need to pull the lower guards on mine, I suspect lots of leaves, debris etc could get in there....
@@gregford5030 I can see them poking out 😅 luckily the car has been dry for sometime.
Rubbing not enough, scrub hard as well 😂
I worked up a sweat 😁
Cappuccino !!!!

Such a busy harbour
The Quay is a dramatic and beautiful place
What is your main job? Where do you think the best city to live in Australia, mate?
@@piyo-piyo-3232 I work in resource recovery and I think Canberra is the best city to live it.
@@SeanTikiTea Thank you so much. Friend told me Melbourne and Sydney are very busy city and cold. Thank you 😊 I have to visit there once.
@@piyo-piyo-3232 yes. Please come and see
Thats a lot of oil :-) appreciate the cleaning montage
Thanks for watching!
Jet washer
That’s an interesting guess 😉
Router...what parts are u after
Not after any parts. I’m recycling the item
Trash is treasure
Totally 💯
Very relaxing
Glad you think so!
Where did you get those from
A neighbour who is renovating their house
Aawww mate. Those aluminium panels are soft!
The roof panels have some many tiny dents in it too 😬
Hi I have lot off micro scrapping on my channel I've subscribed to you
Thank you. Always good to learn more 😎
Not dull scrapping that. Lots of copper and brass. Very interesting
I didn’t know how much can be salvaged from these things. It’s great to divert from landfill
Thanks for the shout buddy. Subbed your channel and I'll share you out
Thank you for educating me 😎
Just by looking my polish engineering skill activate
What have you activated?
Extract plasma. Make a plasma gun. Rule the galaxy as father and son.
We are about 3 years age difference🤣 But good idea. Kinda like bender and fry
Will be watching with interest !
Thanks for the support as always Greg. 😎
White stuff is thermal paste
Don't listen to these guys, they don't know sh*t. That there is Alumin(i)um-oxide Oxidation prohobitor! It protects the Alumin(i)um-oxide from deep rusting where it contacts other metals.
So a corrosive barrier. I’m learning all the time.
Thermal paste, it’s a heat sink, it displaces heat from a hot component… so the thermal paste helps transfer the heat from the hot object to the heat sink… it just bridges the tiny gap between them
Is it a conductor or just a barrier?
if it's more than 45 years old there's a high chance that the grease and insulatora contain berylium - which is _extremely_ carcinogenic
Luckily it was built in this century. But that is very good to know for the future. Thanks.
"heat sink lotion". That term. I'm gonna memorize that. It's not too far off; it prevents nasty blue-smoke inflammation of switching and power semiconductors 😁
It fucking thermal paste... Its for better thermal coupling
The grease would be a thermal transfer compound. It helps in heat transfer.
I wondered if it was a bonding agent or something. It was all over my gloves.
Never heard about thermal paste? How old are you?
@@scififan698 20, I'm in engineering, or at least getting there. Thermal paste is just a bridging agent for metal. It has a high conductivity, because metal can't be 100% flat it fills all the tiny gaps and helps with heat transfer, almost all computers use it for their coolers. It also can be used as a glue. Thermal epoxy to name one. I knew it was thermal paste the instant he said it was a heat sink.
No harm in figuring out the magic of how stuff works, plus, worst case os you've got enough scrap copper there for a few beers once it's knackered! 👍
I like your thinking.
