I've tried astragalus several times in different forms and everytime I took it I got a stomach ache and felt like I had 5 cups of coffee at once! Gensing had the same effect on my body but Reishi had the most amazing and profound effect on my nervous system and so does the combination of goji berries jujube ,longan fruit and hawthorn berries PS: I like the initial effect of licorice but after an hour or so it gives me a headache and raises my blood pressure

Is this combination appropriate for someone who has had lyme? It was prescribed for my dog after antibiotic treatment but there is no way to know whether the "pathogen" is gone. I have read that the lyme pathogen never fully leaves, just decreases in number and possibly hides in body tissues.

Another example is the variate opinions about certain terminologies translation, for example: using Triple burner, Triple heater, Triple energizer, while Sanjiao (Sānjiāo if you like) will do the meaning perfectly. I always wondered how an author writes a book of hundreds of pages about TCM without starting with few pages at least to clarify such linguistic conflicts.
