Star Trek Online first contact day 2020 - The Launch of the Phoenix

This is a quick little video of my first attempt at the Star Trek Online first contact day reenactment. I was a little slow finding the parts needed but got there in the end. I thought it was a nice touch with the launch of the model Phoenix at the end you had the music playing from the launch in The First Contact movie. Enjoy and if you haven't done so already please subscribe.

They may all despise Shatner but they're all professional actors and work together like . . . I dunno what! It's just so great to watch.
George Takai couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.
The scores for Wrath and Search was amazing!
Rest In Peace Deforest Kelley, Nichelle Nichols James Doohan and Leonard Nimoy
It doesn’t get better than that
did they shut down the transporter? I didn't understand why the Starfleet guards didn't beam abord. to stop them.
1980s VHS Panavision Pan and Scan
Your video is a major waste of effort. Is it supposed to be a instructional how to complete the stage video? Or is it just another bit of endlessly shameless WHITE GUY GAMER EGO MASTURBATION? I.E., Look at how COOL I am!
Was it necessary for the violent killing of Kirk's son?
clog the draib
Yea, I like that part too.^
"Don't get smart, tiny" (Wearing a ridiculous hat negating any potential sense of threat). Sulu pulls off a perfect uki otoshi variant and replies: "Don't call me 'tiny!'"
I ABSOLUTELY loved it when Exselsior died in space! ROFL/...Good job Scotty!
Excelsior’s captain played by James Sikking is a fabulous example of a character actor with few lines knowing exactly what the story needs. His ridiculous “power wand” that he forces everybody to ignore/accept cause he’s the cocky captain is a wonderful quirk.
Don't call me tiny...lol LOVE that!
I love how Scotty, Sulu, Uhura and Chekov were automatically down, zero hesitation...Scotty, Sulu and Chekov were loke"Dude, REALLY!?" when Kirk said they didn't have to go🖖
There is nothing quite like the original cast of star trek for me I watched all episodes as a kid and all the films several times I just never tire of them even now with the new cast
If the Enterprise is in space dock, why didn’t Star Fleet security just beam over and take over control? And Excelsior is clearly using thrusters yet the captain order quarter impulse in space dock with the doors still closed 😂
Space…the final frontier…these are the voyages of the Star Ship Enterprise and her awesome crew…long live the Enterprise and long live Gene Roddenberry’s vision of the brave and noble spirit humanity is capable of embodying if we just learned to live together in peace and work together in harmony, which seems so impossible when you look at the shape our world is in today. And yet Roddenberry’s vision of a bright future for humanity is not unique - deep down it’s what we all want. That poignant hope is what the Enterprise and her crew represents. Yes, it’s fantasy, but as someone once said: never underestimate the power of fantasy!
Admiral Picard would have done it with more finesse
They will always be the best crew and cast 😊
I was only a child when I saw this. And this is when I fell in love with Star Trek. And learned the first lesson of a leader: it isn’t always what you should do, but what you must do. The right decision is better than your order. Sadly too many people forget that.
The USS Excelsior is a pile of JUNK. good work Scotty
Nichelle Nichols was a goddess of beauty, class, grace, and face!
“No reply Chekov !” now he should have said “Let them eat static” for reasons ! ;)
I missed they all😥😥😥 We are all together behind the horizont 🖖🖖
Just so much emotion in all of this. No remake or reboot can even come close.
Can't go backwards on impluse power...
For me, this is the most beloved sequence of the OG movies. My personal favorite section is when Kirk says, "My friends, I can't ask you to go any further. Dr. McCoy and I have to do this..." From there, the family respectfully says, let's get on with it Captain... Give the word! It's the "Core" at its finest.
Dohan was always my favorite of the original cast.
Wish they could still make good simple films. Well written, character driven with pathos.
I love the look Scotty gives once Kirk orders "warp speed". He knows Exclesior isn't going anywhere fast....
Fav quote, " the more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain!"
Love how Jim doesn’t hesitate when threatened about never sitting in the captains seat again.
THE ORIGINAL VERSION ON VHS, YOU CAN SEE THE TRAVELING MAT !!!!!!!!!!
And all this with models without CGI.
this always felt like the perfect bridge between the gravity of II and the almost comedy of IV. This was just balancing the line.
How fitting that a ship which resembles a low-flush toilet should make those sounds.
Still the moment David dies for me😢 You Klingon bastard...you've killed my son...ugh! Gets me and the weakness in the knees. Perfectly acted out.
It just an incredible scene. The music, the chemistry, modern trek is good but this, this is gold.
The best scene from any Star Trek film.
Part of what makes this scene great is that not one, or two, but three insufferable douchebags get their comeuppance: The "Tiny" Guy, "Mr. Adventure" and Captain Styles of the Excelsior.
Was it Scotty or Spacedock that opened the doors??????????❤
Definitely an whoashit moment!! That is when time is very short and you don't even have enough time to say the two words separately!!😁
RIP James Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, DeForrest Kelley and a young-looking Miguel Ferrer in the heleman's chair on Excelsior. My favorite part of this is right after this part actually. Scotty hands over the computer chips to McCoy "the more the over dig the plumbn' the easier it is to stop up the drain". Like other lines by Scotty it's another great one.
In all of cinematic history there's never been anything better than this. And don't give me any of that Ben-Hur stuff. Do you know exactly what I mean.
When I saw this in grandgunction co the year it came out I was so breathtaking. I was like I want some!!!! And ididto. I got some so she will always be my first that's how gorgeous she looked. I was in the mood for over a week when I saw her like this. I don't give a fubar what anyone thinks. Doesn't matter cause I don't effin care. And I love saying that. I always will love saying that. Kamala was second so I loved that too so piss on the rest of you.
Never gets old! Thanks for the giggles & good memories!
The TOS movies were mostly before my time, but damned if this sense of fun & friendship isn't timeless. It comes through loud and clear how much delight they're all taking in creating & sharing this tale of adventure & loyalty together.
The slowest pursuit scene in any sci fi movie ever in the history of film… …and the most Epic
We’re this movie made today the usual crowd would call it woke because two white guys get humiliated by a small asian guy and a black woman.
