Something about heavy overcast and drizzle to get some birds fired up. We got to watch 2 drop from the roost. A few minutes later a single walked past us on a mission. We waited for him to pass before I put my shotgun down and picked up the camera. The main gobbler wouldn't take a breath between gobbling. we paced poi to about 45 yards.

Opening 2 Point Mortise Lock Stuck Shut In Locked Position
มุมมอง 4029 หลายเดือนก่อน
Today, I have an Amesbury two point mortise lock that is stuck in the closed and locked position on a sliding door. Thankfully, there was a second door without the handle installed so I could dissect a solution. You will want to remove the handle and keyed lock assembly. Insert flathead into mortise keyway, and with just enough pressure towards the door jam on the screw driver, "pop" the lock b...

what was the name of the connector that plugs into the transmission internally and externally
The company that makes the plug is Rostra. I think the technical name is bulkhead connector.
I know this is an old video, but I've got a 97 ram 1500 2wd and my brakes are bad. Tried multiple things. Sometimes when I first start it there great. But soon after there bad again.. on ice I can't get the rears to lock up. I was wondering if this sensor could be the issue.
Could be a few things. Doubt it's the sensors. You'll hear the abs engage (if it does) Have you replaced the drum pistons? I went with chevy HD pistons. Direct bolt in and more pressure. That got them to lock up Could also be corrosion inside the lines. . How's pedal pressure

Can anybody explain me, how i can change the MPH to KMH ? please helf me :)
Guess I’ll be inspecting my plug a little more. Previously my rpm’s at highway speeds jumped 2-300 rpm. After battling through and changing my TCC, it won’t shift back to first without me doing it manually. And It won’t shift to O/D. I love when I replace parts to fix a problem I could have lived with things get worse! Lol
You can back probe for the voltage reference signals and look for shorts that way. Or you can hook up a good scan tool that can display those voltages. I wish I could remember what wire is supposed to show what voltage at idle. A big telltale for me was the voltage temp sensor reading 170° at startup on a 30° day.
So that was pointless.
That's straight from an Alfred Hitchcock movie!
Nice catch and excellent release!!!!
Beautiful birds and my favorite to hunt... I'm in Indiana and we still hunt them but not as hard as when I was a young man... lol And the bad thing in our area was DNR trapped a couple thousand birds from several areas we hunted in back in the late 80's and early 90's and they traded them to multiple states for wild turkeys and coyotes and after that the population was never as hardy or the same again especially after a few hard winters... So my brother and I have 10 acres in southern Indiana and we turned loose some young grouse (24 birds) and some bobwhite quail (24 birds) this was in 2008 after our father had passed (he left us the place) and they have become pretty abundant in our area now plus we are surrounded by 118,000 acres of the Hoosier National Forest and our property buts up on two sides and it's a good little place to enjoy some of serenity!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
Grouse are so tough to shoot on the wing here. It's easier with out a dog most times. Sounds like a killer spot you have. Glad to see you're invested in it. I grew up in the Midwest. Only got to hunt doves and pheasant before I moved. Want to make it make soon
Nice landlock salmon man!! Love the ADK's!! Where abouts? Lake george? Lake eaton?.. Fish on!!
Lake Colby, of all places.
@@buck19 Wow thats soo cool man! I'm 43 yrs old and i went to Camp Colby ("kids camp") when i was 13 yrs old. I caught a giant largemouth bass that week. Hike big slide mtn high peak during that camp. Alot of good memories i will never forget. I havent been there since 1993. Although i was just up at Saranac lake near lake flower hiking baker mtn. Very nice landlock salmon man!! Lake clear wobblers and moose look wobblers always work well in the ADK's! My biggest landlock is out of lake eaton 7lbs. Using a lake clear wobbler and a small red and black wet fly behind it. Also got a 6lber outta lake george ice fishing years ago. Thanks for sharing man!! Fish on!!

That old 870 still goes with me when I take the auto. It's never failed me in the last 22 years. That auto doesn't like water or dirt....
buck 19, Hello, when you changed the sensor you had to do something else or you just changed it and it started.
It was the censor itself. Heat and vibration kill these types of sensors. I did not replace it myself. The owner sold it and new owner put one in. Can't tell you if there wad a process to put it in. I believe it's straight forward.
@@buck19 Okay. So you don't know if the key had to be done once by changing the sensor?
@@pablopereira3828 I do not know. Any other sensor I've done I never had to. They were plug and play, but I couldn't tell you about this one specifically. Some of the "chipped" keys are just resistors like a 98 SVT I had.

Reprogram the key
It was the crank angle sensor.
Bad key won't cause backfires
I used to trim them, but I stopped. Now I just bend them. I like a more raspy, deep sound, and the extra latex seems to provide that.
I'm not liking the softer latex calls. The hs strut with the deep cuts give me an awful sqwelch when youve had it in your mouth a few minutes.
If it was the key it would not turn over. Probably no fuel pressure if EFI.
Bad crank sensor. Had plenty of fuel. Enough to backfire. The symptoms are characteristic.
That’ll wake up the shoulder! Ahahah
Had that issue and just cleaned the key , any oil or dirt buggers up the dess signal.

Not sure. Found it in a bargain bin a while ago. It never held its position with the hardware i had on it

If you see no gas
The gas level sending unit was busted. Didnt meadure anything under 3/4 tank. It was the crank angle sensor

Peeling is not the same thing as trimming. Also, you should not peel carrots. Most of the nutrition is in the skin. You're literally throwing away the healthiest part of the food.
Zero waste. All trimmings go to stock pot.
How did you get the code to show up. I have a 95 dodge ram 1500. Abs and brake light been on for atleast 8 years. Truck is still in great shape thanks rob
"When a DTC is generated, the brake warning lamp and ABS warning lamp are illuminated. To retrieve a DTC place the ignition key in the. RUN position. Then momentarily ground pin 13 of the Data Link Connector. When the ground is removed the ABS and Brake Warning Lamp will begin to flash. The initial flash will be a long flash followed by one or more short flashes. The long flash indicates the beginning of the DTC number. The short flashes are a continuation of the DTC number. You must count the long flash and short flashes for an accurate trouble code number. When the DTC has been retrieved compare it to the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart (Fig. 9). " The pin out on the DLC plug should be labeled. Ground it out with a paper clip in the #13 pin and a gator clamp connected to a chassis ground.
Where do i find trouble code chart
@@robbigemon1868 those can be found online fairly easily. The entire 2nd gen ram factory shop manual is available online for free download.
Let the display shut off then start it
It was a crank sensor. Guessing canams dont throw CAS codes. But this is the tell-tale sign.
Mine does this same thing. I learned to live with it. I let the machines lights turn completely off. Can Am has a pre programmed 10 to 15 second lights (stay on) after shutdown, its a safety thing I'm guessing. Then I turn the key back to the on position and it starts right up every time.
Thank you for this. I just got a 96 5.2 and it has the P0743, P1492 and P1757. the torque converter clutch and the volt temperature sensor are my next 2 issues and your video has helped me greatly
That plug should def be the first thing checked. Cant replace the solenoid pack without unplugging it. Rostra makes the pigtail at $50. I had a snap on scan tool hooked up and the readings were everywhere. At start up it said the trans temp was already 175° on a winter morning. This was the open short to power code i was getting. The truck wouldnt even go into gear at this point. The shop i took it to either lied to me to try and sell a transmission or they were that dumb when they started replacing good parts.
Your battery temp sensor (P1492) clips into the bottom of the battery tray. You have to pull the battery to get to it. Check for corrosion and short from power to ground wire there, too. Clean any battery acid in the area.
Your p1757 sounds like its related to p0743. Governer high voltage at O mph. The 2 codes practically point at each other for corrosion.
Looks like bucks have staged here in years past huh?
Yup, mixed with fresh rubs. Its a nice 3 sided bowl. This is on a ridge that has little 30 ft ponds inside of thick edge habitat along the middle of the ridge
Thank you I will try this

Very cool capture! Love otters! Thanks for sharing. Stay blessed
I havent seen an otter in a couple years. Then in the past 4 days ive seen 5. 3 inside of 24 hours. If you listen carefully, right before the little otter starts running back, you hear 2 barks coming from in the inlet calling it back to the river.
Did you replace the 8 Pin male connector?
Not the whole connector. The male side is daisy chained with the solenoids. I ended up tracking down the pin itself from a freightliner dealership in ohio. Cost was 7¢. Took forever and a ton of source manufacture research just to get the part number. I ordered their last 10.
The plug itself is a milspec part manufactured by Canon. Used in internal components of heavy machinery, anywhere where oils and lubricants are present, 46re, and the land rover injector harness thats located inside their valve cover.
Nice! Have a blessed one
you have any luck there?
Ive caught nice perch and smallies, but havent caught or heard of anyone catching any trout. In short, i fished it cause it was closest lake youre allowed to ice fish. Def not my top 10
ive since found where the salmon are. fun lake

Hey what plug are you talking about? Im having the same code come up want to check before i shell out for a rebuild
Me too. Po753 shift solenoid but I replaced it and no Dice
External case connector. Rostra is the only manufacturer of the pig tail. It is the 5 volt reference circuit to the transmission solenoid pack. It can be accessed from the driver side of the transmission. In 4x4 models youll need to drop the half shaft to get enough room to service the external plug.
I recommend having it hooked up to a good scan tool like the snapon bidirectional. From there you can check your voltages to and from the solenoid pack. If its something like voltage to high, your looking at the solenoid signal wire shorting out to the main 5volt reference wire. If you have to splice new wire get the rostra plug. Given its location, it degrades over time and just falls apart. Be careful plugging it back in. The pins are easy to break and i own the last 9 male pins on the market. Sourced them from an international semi dealer. The plug cross references to landrovers internal injector harness. It is a milspec component manufactured by Canon.
hey, did you ever figure out the issue? my renegade is doing the same thing now
Sorry for the late response. It was the crank angle sensor. Heat and vibration makes this part fail. When the crank sensor first begins to fail the symptoms dont show up until the part is warmed up. Then it acts up. As the part further deteriorates the symptoms are more persistent until the part is completely dead.
@@buck19 can I get the link to the sensor?
