This is what I would like to do. I'm interested in a Sony ZV-E10, I like this camera for the price and the video and audio capabilities, while being a budget camera. I would like to spend the rest of the budget on a macro lens and a telephoto lens. Im thinking cheaper telephoto lens and get a better macro lense. I want to take photos of native flowers, insects, then occasionally birds.

There is a lot to like about the G90. It is a better vlogging and social media camera that the G9. Has modes that manufacturers deem "ammateur" like panorama mode, which makes it very useful to me. I love its better in-camera editing, lighter weight, unlimited recording, and the 4K crop, similar to the GH4, helps extend tele reach. It makes it a very complimentary camera to the G9.

One of the only honest comparisons between digital and IBIS...IBIS is garbage for stabilizing video, it's really a feature for photography. It doesn't stabilize unless you are already almost completely still, you CERTAINLY can't walk with it the way you can with digital stabilization. I have seen so many people try to act like the digital stabilization is some kind of "junior grade crappy cheap" version. It's not. It's literally better for video. You get gimbal-like footage. You don't need to use built-in, you can use Gyroflow and get as little crop as you want. All cameras should have gyros, the software is incredible. Sony IBIS is weak sauce...yet people will pay so much get IBIS...and lose the gyro! For video! Amazing what group-think can do.

I would go with ZVE10 if the EVF doesn’t matter. Color science is a bit nicer. The A6400 feels nice in the hand, but basically the same camera.

Thanks for the video :)) if you did have to make a choice between the two (with kit lens), which one would you choose? I'm mainly planning to do photography but the option to do great video is nice too. The EVF is not super important to me but cool to have. Not sure if the price difference for weather sealing + the EVF is justifiable? What do you think haha

I'd just shoot in 1080p. 4k resolution doesn't make a bit of difference most of the time and most of the 4k contents are not distinguishable from 1080p anyway, even on a large screen. If you shoot in 1080p, G100 is an incredible tool that iPhone or Sony ZV can't touch.

I'm wondering if the white balance is set to auto on both cameras. The Lumix has a very yellowish hue indoors, which might mean the white balance is set toward "sunlight" (5600K). The Sony looks consistently good.

I’m thinking of getting the g95 since it doesn’t have a recording limit. I need a camera for my podcast and the g100 only allows you to record for 10 minutes.

I also bought a used immaculate G9 but to replace a G6 and G7. I sometimes regret not getting a G95 because it has a pop-up flash and what I miss most on G9, the Panorama auto-stitching mode. For the life of me I cannot understand why a top of the range camera has these features deleted from the spec. Yes, the G9 has dual fast card slots but as an enthusiast not a professional wedding photographer, it’s of no significance and neither is the 60P 4K shooting mode.

A bit experimenting with the 300 FPS on my G92. It’s all manual focus but the focus peeking really helps . The focusing capabilities at 120 was one of the big reasons I upgraded from the G9.

I have the original G9, and I'm really looking forward to getting the mk 2 once I have some money.

I got the TTArtisan 10mm F2.0 for it at 150 bucks. Looks amazing. No distortion and no chromatic aberration, none at all. Surreal at that price point for a lens with those specs.

The lenses should have been both set to 1.7 The sony lens was getting more light bc it was more open aperture

Camera conspiracies is really about humor, most of it derogatory -insulting camera companies as well as people, sometimes even himself. His offer to evaluate people's photos should have two disclaimers - that he will find things in the photo to insult , and that he is a vlogger and video shooter, as is not that interested or experienced in still photography, so his opinions are not based on expertise. By the way, my vision is fine and I watched this on a 40 inch tv - I didn't think the squirrel looked out of focus. Maybe not tack sharp but, still very acceptable.

With the A7R4, you should have enough megapixels to clean up the noise with NR software in post., I use DxO photolabs with my A7R5 and going high ISO isn't really a problem.

I think the same way, go out and have fun, and take photos of what you love without putting too much pressure into it.

Practive makes perfect. I use my tripod and turn off the auto-focus and use manual. It mostly works OK for me. Thanks for the upload, you inspire us 👍

Hi, have tried video shooting in open gate at 5.8K. How is the rolling shutter performance in such a setup? My current G9 video wobbles a lot in such a scenario.
