The piece is the Cellist, created on Lauren by Cathy Marston. And although it is disappointing that audiences will see less of this beautiful dancer, this post is celebrating her extraordinary career as well as her decisions for the future.

The Royal Ballet has a huge and diverse repertoire- as these dancers have said in many interviews

They performed a trio of MacMillan pieces in April, requiem being one of them. They’re not classical ballet whatsoever. You’re only seeing the Cinderella and the Sleeping Beauty and so on when they do so much more.

The Royal Ballet is very open to incorporate new and exciting work! You can see them highlighted on their website

Do you go to hip hop companies and tell them to do classical ballet? There are plenty of companies that do other styles. Don't like classical ballet? Watch something else. ENB is known as a fusion company.

@@emhu2594 Well, I still have a desire to see these classical dancers testing their talent in a contemporary setting. Like I said. Why so offended? Are you the CEO of classical ballet? Also, a hip hop company trying out classical would be FUN!

@@foropera Thanks for your comment! I’m sure many share your opinion. Not sure if it’s helpful but the dancers dancing Ashton in this video are Kaneko, Osipova, Lamb & Nuñez. Dancing Macmillan are Bracewell, McRae, O’Sullivan, & Hirano!

@@elisasanguinetti5639 what a lovely comment thank you!! If you’re interested the Royal ballet has loads of performances on ROH Stream (on their website). I believe they do a free or very cheap trial period!

Watch their ballet rehearsals as well, they are fabulous…you learn so much and they’re just breathtaking.

@@miguelavila2674 in the Liam Scarlett production of Swan Lake, the female characters in the pas de trois are referred to as “Prince Siegfried’s Younger Sisters.” Hope this helps!

That’s a very subjective view. RB dancers have contrasting strengths. Simplistic and derogatory remarks such as these are boring.

Rubbish! We have some of the most incredible dancers who don't have to over act or look like gymnasts to produce moving performances. Our productions in my opinion have always knocked spots off Russian. Perhaps you've not seen enough of these wonderful performers.

I also feel that the Russian versions of the classical ballets feel lifeless because their characters don’t feel like a genuine person you’ll meet in their respective settings.

@elyseenger2646 yep my thoughts exactly. Technically great but so are ours. Nunez is in her 40s and my God o have seen her numerous times a day never put foot wrong. That doesn't mean that she hasn't as .y heart goes out to a dancer who slips or falls no one is perfect.

Yep, not fair! We have the most incredible group of dancers at the royal. Only a couple of months ago was privileged to have my photo taken with Mathew ball. What a talented tasty geezer. My word he made a nutty oaps year.😂😂😂

I love Valentino Zucchetti! He can do everything.

It's sad that he keeps getting passed over. In terms of his career trajectory, he should have been promoted to Principal around 2016 or 2017 (he was promoted to First Soloist in 2014). I wonder what foiled his chances. Maybe an injury?

@@chiedu90069 No injury that I know of. I'm thinking its because he's also doing quite a bit of choreography with the company. Divided duties and not solely a dancer.

I know. Carnt work out why not a complete mystery. She's been at the royal forever and always dances to perfection.

@@jillgooner It's a weird one, I think it's just too late now and other up and coming dancers will get it ahead of her. The same can be said of Melissa Hamilton too, she's a great dancer who doesn't get the roles or the promotion she may deserve and others move up ahead of her.

Oh definitely and all so different. Sambe is great but so is bracewell and my favourite, well if there is one hard to define. Mathew ball is incredible. But they are all so different and suit different roles but nevertheless, hunky Gorgeous talented individuals.
