Melody created Wherever I May Roam in 2015 and is still going strong on a host of social channels. She travels the country (and often world) highlighting small towns, plus where to stay, play, & eat while you are there. Cruising and road trips are her specialties. She also freelances for print/digital.
Originally from WV, Melody was an RVer for a year, and now resides in Mesquite, NV - a big move from Vero Beach, FL.
Melody's first book "100 Things to Do in West Virginia Before You Die" came out in 2023. She has a podcast (100 Things WV) to go along with the book.
She and daughter, Taylor, co-own a second blog, Travel the South Bloggers. They host the annual Southern Travelers Explore (#STE) travel conference for bloggers, influencers, & tourism professionals. #STE was previously in Thomasville (GA), Tupelo (MS), Huntsville (AL), & Irving (TX). Ellen's Ice Cream has great fresh options for lunch. How could you not include Tudor's Biscuits? We moved to Portland, OR which is a foodie town and in ten years we have yet to find Asian food as good as Main Kwong.
Well, Tudor's is a special friend and the #1 entry in my 100 Things to Do in West Virginia Before You Die, so it may not be mentioned here, but in literally every other aspect of my life. LOL Did you see where they just won Best Biscuit Sandwich in the South from Garden & Gun Magazine? I'm over the moon excited for them. I live outside Vegas, and would love to have a Tudor's here. ;) I, too, was a Main Kwong lunch orderer when I worked in Charleston.
