I started yesterday at 53. I was a Credit Union manager for 20 years, before starting working at a hospital. Good luck to you and much success!
What camera do you use?
Good luck with your channel. Told my mom she should do this she's 73 and an avid Minecraft player.
Whaaat? That’s awesome, I know nothing about gaming but that sounds so unique, I’d bet her life experience would add new value to the gaming world.
P0302 on a fusion? Most likely a blown head gasket or block and or head issue. Sadly this is very common, you can remove the spark plug and inspect the cylinder to see if it’s steam cleaned. You’ll notice a misfire on coke start ups or after heat soaking the engine aka staring it up an hour or so after a drive
I hate the way the kiddies have to look up info on whatever you say on video or post on Facefart. I go from memories I have over my 68 years of life. Then they take their new knowledge from a google search and basically say, " My, aren't we STUPID today!?" I like reminding them that I didn't have to look it up. Asshats. A disc lock has nothing to do with riding skill and/or experience.
I've been saying for 4 years I was going to start a channel. I bought the cameras (several actually), but it just never got done. Maybe someday!
Do it! It is helping me with motivation, brain fog, accountability, just to name of few. It's like going back to school but now its on my terms.
getting to the battery is such a pain. I learned a couple things last spring. if you go to autoparts store with old battery they will test it for you. Our local shop tested it (after I had it on charger overnight), battery was still good, they charged it for me. Yes a couple days no riding but saved few hundred bucks and it was April in Maine. Second thing, i could put the negative on frame, positive on ignition and jump start my road glide. Love it when us ladies do our own troubleshooting 🙂Ride safe
Great tip! Yea that battery was from 2022 and I was thinking it should have had some life left. I'm my experience, regular batteries are only lasting 3-4 years without tending, what is your experience? I don't know if regular tending increases the longevity or not but I'll test it out on this new one. I've always been in Cali and never really had to "store" the bike for winter so tending the battery is something I never did. Someone commented that I should not be turning off the bike at the handlebar switch, I'm curious if that kills that battery faster? They didn't actually say what the reason was so that's the Gemini thinking in me. But the next battery will probably be a lithium. About doing our own troubleshooting, it's only out of necessity right now. Believe me, I rather have someone else just take care of it for me and just ride. :)
@@Retiredgemini I still have the stock battery that came in my 2021 RG. I don't put it on a tender during the winter, but I go out a few times a month, start the bike and let it run for a bit 20-30 minutes. Hubby rides year round, I don't mind the cold, but if there is a chance of black ice I don't like to risk it.
@@nikkik6412 "2021 RG" Great choice! I'm glad you've got the cable clutch too lol. (bad joke because of my problems with my 2018 SGS) Black ice is no bueno, I totaled a work truck once, after hitting the ice on a curve, the only thing that stopped me from flying into the lake was a tree!
@@Retiredgemini Ice is no fun at all😬

Why does every woman that rides want to let the whole world know
My channel is not about me telling the world I ride, but I actually did start it so my grandson could follow my retirement ride. True story but thank you for engaging, it actually helps in many ways. I’m truly enjoying learning how people really interact online. It’s eye opening for sure.
At least it happened at home, not in BFE someplace.
Exactly!
LOL, guess what? I'm going to BFE in October! LMAO
@26:51 You left the Ignition switch on, and your battery is being discharged at that point. Do not use the red shutdown button on the handlebars unless you have an emergency. My wife can cannot check the oil in her Car. Good job Ride Safe Girl.
Don’t use the switch on the handlebar? I’ve never heard that before but I’ll look into it, you’re saying always shut the bike off at the ignition instead right?
@@Retiredgemini It's a good habit to use the key or ignition switch. Some people kill their battery using the red shutdown switch and forget to turn off the main switch.
@@kc5hgv Ahh, that makes sense. The habit of using the ignition switch prevents you from leaving it on like I did in the video! Great call! New habit beginning today!
You Go Woman ❤
IMHO, if you have an expensive bike like a Harley, at your age, you must have been immersed with bike related information for some time. To be able to avoid information about disc locks, that have been around for at least 30years, indicates your bike interest is something else than a deep passion for its own sake.
I’m pretty sure you’re trying to insult me, 😅but hey, I like your name, a 65 impala is my all time favorite 😍
@@Retiredgemini I gave my view of why someone might say you shouldn't be riding a bike. It's sounds harsh, but you can choose to disregard. Why you ride, is something only you decide. So I'm not saying you shouldn't ride. I'm explaining: in the eyes of someone who spent most of his waking hours learning about his favorite thing to do, your basic question tells him you are not in his circle. For some reason he couldn't leave it at that, he had to tell you. I guess it's like screaming at the TV-screen for something the referee neglects, when watching a game. Only, now he could leave a comment. I got slightly rubbed the wrong way too, because it reminded me of girlfriends that expected to be treated like equals in matters they didn't even have interest, talent or put in the work to master. Not your fault, just saying what goes on in my head. And probably others mens minds aswell.
@@impalaSS65 As a Gemini, I actually appreciate your detailed response and agree with much of it. As far as an expectation of treatment, I can say that I know I am vulnerable putting content online and also riding a bike. Both are apart of my journey of "figuring things out". If some bit of content ends up helping me or someone else figure it out, whatever that "it" might be, well, I think that might mean I am on the right path.
WTF?
That’s what I said. Sheesh.
Hey, I had absolutely no idea what that thing was. Got my first bike in 1975. Haven’t been without a bike since. I ride, highways, county roads, gravel roads, trails, single track, no track, up mountains, across deserts & crossed rivers. I have ridden all over this continent. I don’t figure that gizmo you got there, has too much to do with riding skill. I don’t got one & don’t intend to get one either. But you can be damn sure of one thing, I will ride until I can’t balance a bike. Then I will get a side car.
lol, I said the same thing, when asked if I’d ever get a trike I said I’d rather get a side car and haul my grandkids around. Thanks for understanding, just because I am admitting I don’t know what something is and asking for help doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be riding.
It fits, (locks onto), the disc brake rotor, usually the front tire, so that the bike can not be moved forward or backward.
Thank you, someone commented on my earlier video (you?) and it makes sense now. I am just floored at some of the comments I get. But it's becoming amusing.
Invest in a Voltmeter. After starting you should have 13.8 volts across your new battery, If not you're not out of the woods yet. Was your old battery just dry of water?
That is good advice. Thank you and I will let you know, I have to take it in to get the core back. $10 bucks but I'll take it.
@@Retiredgemini I salute any rider that fix's their own machine. Respect.
Thank you! Best compliment I’ve had so far. I’m just here trying to figure things out. Life in general too lol.@@JamesMiller-q9w
@@JamesMiller-q9w Thank you, but believe me, I much rather have someone else magically take care of it for me.
Disc lock 🔐
If You realy don't know where to put that lock then maybe it's better that you don't have the key for the ignition.
Thanks, you prompted another video reminding me of some people’s blindsideness
It is made to go in the disc brake rotor holes .. To keep the bike from rolling or ridden..
Thank you! Not sure what that other comment is saying but I appreciate you!
Time for you to get back to you. I love this. I’m sorry for your losses and thank you for sharing your story, there is hope for us all when we dare to get real.

Nice. Get some real boots and put on some gloves. Just sayin.
This is sort of fun to see the comments. Boots and gloves, hmmm, there's an idea.
loose the sneakers , keep the helmet, put on some gloves and pay attention to your surroundings. have fun be n be safe.
what you don't like converse? I might try those ol work boots. Oh wait, I threw them out cause I retired.
Buy goldwing very modern style
Goldwing is not on my radar. This one came my way so I bought it.
You need to shorten those bars Just a little
I was planning on it but with all the comments I am starting think I might leave them. Just pull them back a couple of inches. It's kind of hilarious. Besides I need to buy new cables as well and don't feel like spending the money. The road king is so much lighter than my last street glide, it's like riding a bike. Reminds me of my banana seat Schwinn as a little girl.
Do you actually find those bars comfortable? I couldnt imagine riding with my knuckles above my eye brows.
They are not really that bad. The mirrors are blocked by my fat arms though.
Enjoy the new ride
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful machine you’ve got there !!! 😍
Thank you! I'm enjoying it.
Just found your channel and watched several of your videos. I seem to be a male version of you LOL. Retired and a Gemini (May 29th). Location is a lot different though... I am in Southern Illinois. Nice bike, but as others have commented you might want to go with 14" bars or at least close to shoulder height. Rubber down, Faith up!! XanBiker
Love it! Happy belated birthday 🎉 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice bike, I’d def change the bars to something closer to practical.
Yeah, I think I might keep them though.
Looks awesome!! Bars: 18"s?
The bike has 20” bars, theres some work to do to make it my own, might go with some 14”s from a friends changeover. In due time though.
@@Retiredgemini I'd say that's a good move as it appears that setup would be a challenge on tight turns. I'm 6'2" with 16"bars with a slight pull back.super comfy!
You go girl! I've been riding for 48 years and for 20 my wife rode behind me. Well for the last 7 years she's been riding her own bike and she loves it! So you go girl, enjoy!!!
You look sexy on that bike next time wear a g-string
That's so badass girl 😜
Thank you, I love riding. Got it from my Dad.
Beautiful bike! No way that's comfortable for you though lol 😄
They are not that bad, was going to swap them out right away but $$$ is making it lower on the list.
@@Retiredgemini well I wish you good weather and light traffic then. God bless!
@@jonathanpasch6604 Thank you!
With those bars that high the turbulence from her fat arms flapping will cause a speed wobble.
She looks good on it!!
Thank you, the bar height makes me look slimmer LOL
Awesome sled young lady.
Go shorter on steering u would look gooder and more control but I like that brand new bike it's nice show room look
You should check out the road queen, it’ll be much more fitting!
🤣
You think you're looking cool, but really you looking like a fool. As usual, get a bike with some handlebars that you can ride, not fight, damn.
I run apes on all 4 of my Harley's, including Carlini Gangster Apes on my Softail. I believe those might be a bit tall for you, but that's up to you.
I think so too but my kid will be trying them out for a minute or so. We’ll see what happens.
Nice nice! Some 16's or 14's might get you lovin that thang even more...Guessing if you buying that thing n pulling off like that you already know!....Keep the rubberside down..kick them gears
0:35 I've been riding Harleys for over 30 years and I have never gotten the ape hanger bars. But, to each his/her own. Beautiful bike and love the paint job.
I plan to change them out for me but my son likes them so maybe I’ll keep them for a minute or so for him to try on for size.
I know how that feels ,it's frickin new 😂 . Your gonna be staring at it all the time ,taking so many pictures. I would and have . She's absolutely Beautiful. Dign the look too ,that helmet ❤ my girl always wants to wear her converse also . Leather up Miss ,gloves and everything 🎉
Looks 😂like you'd be more comfortable with shorter bars
