We’ve often done this in sport - how do you construct the best batsman of all time, best tennis player of all time and so on. We put together individual qualities of past and present greats and wonder what if (what if Federer had the same endurance as Nadal or Sachin had the same nerve as Dhoni etc.) . Let’s indulge in a similar exercise in Carnatic - what makes an ideal Carnatic singer - A voice that is obscenely rich and utterly malleable at the same time? Check. Creativity that makes you fall off the chair every once in a while? Check. Renditions that suddenly make a composition you generally skip past, a new favorite? Check. Emotional appeal that transcends stage/digital boundaries and moves you? Check. Crystal clear pronunciation? Working knowledge of main Carnatic languages? An innate understanding of what’s aesthetically pleasing? Triple check. Audience would’ve often witnessed these traits in Kruthi Vittal (née Bhat). Her natural gifts are just so abundant that it makes you wonder if they are accumulated over several lifetimes. Couple that with a wise head on young shoulders, an attitude of complete sincerity and humility; and you have a formidable beast of a talent. A species of one is being forged with each passing season. It’s our privilege to present Kruthi’s second Margazhi season after turning pro (with her kind permission). As with others, we’ve tried to present this as a single concert experience, curating from 6 different concerts across the season.

Most Amazing and And Awesome concert. One More "HIT" concert by Ramakrishna Murthy of this season. His Super Proficiency and expertise in singing Raga Alapanas, And Kalpana Swara and every other aspect is really so very excellent. Amazing Violin Accompaniment by Vittal rangan was really such a great Boost to the Entire Concert. Enjoyed so very listening to this Concert. 👌👌👌

Was fortunate to catch them live at Ethiraj and then Vittal at a few other concerts including the micless wonder at Ekanrha with Krithi! Truly blessed to have been able to experience his mastery in person this season 🙏🙏
