Why they dont just grate the ground under it to give it an extra foot or two of clearance is beyond me.. Would take a single weekend with a road detour. It's almost like it's a scam that we just haven't caught on to.

I live near a parkway in NY on which commercial TRUCKS ARE FORBIDDEN. Every now and then, one comes down the road and gets stuck under the bridge, earning two fines at once.

There's one of these on Onondaga Lake Parkway in Liverpool NY. Kamikaze drivers been hitting it for years. No manner or number of warning methods stop them. The village seal should feature a tractor trailer wedged under that bridge. Genuine tragedy a while back when a passenger bus plowed into it.

Why does the city allow this to keep happening Just replace the bridge to a proper height
