True. To heal a part of the body or brain you have to account for the whole of that person. Sadly, this very rarely happens as holistic approaches are few and far between, also expensive and unreachable for most. Tiny proportion of doctors look at the whole, they don’t get trained for it. Most don’t have time. In the U.K. if you can get an appointment you are lucky, waiting times to see them are often weeks and for mental health it can months, if you can get to see who you want, it’s rare. Continuity of care is even more rare. That all leaves most without localised and much needed constructive help. That means searching for yourself to find information that’s going to help and hoping for the best. We need thousands more of available Gabor Mate.

Thank you for providing the information in a quick manner
It works, transcendental meditation and compassion. I'm looking for your office. In Perth at the moment. Would like meet you.
I think there is something to be said regarding light quality and its effect on mood. Maybe an avenue to explore.
Certificate 3 or 4? Is this actually an accredited course? Can i legally practise as a therapist?
It's a sad truth that current psychology and psychiatry treatments for PTSD, depression, anxiety and addictions lack efficacy; they often result in life-long medication requirements with unwanted side effects, from weight gain to lethargy to lack of libido. Suicide rates, disabling PTSD and addictions are persistently elevated, despite many different treatments being deployed. It is time for significant changes in treatment options. We are wise to research microdosing therapy options and ensure they remain accessible to those in need. Over the long haul, it will cost the public healthcare system far less than decades of antidepressants and mental health hospitalisations, the loss of first-line responders to PTSD and burnout; not to mention the toll suicide losses take on the mental health and HQOL/QOL of loved ones and the fact that suicide losses can lead to other suicides in that person's family or circle of friends.
Psilocybin mushrooms. Best shrooms I’ve ever had! Had some amazing trips when I first started taking them. Now I micro dose every few days before work and it has literally changed my life completely for the better.
I have ptsd, I was diagnosed with it after I got back from deployment . I tried psilocybin mushrooms and it made me function so much better.
I have been fighting PTSD for a while now and I got advised to try psilocybin mushroom. How do I go about it?
Well silly_mycoz is my guide. Really good with anything psychedelics.

Hi I'm so interested.
Thankyou Rick, Peter and Tanya. I couldn't make the live event, so I just caught up on TH-cam. What I cannot believe is this has only had 95 views to date. How are we going to get mass uptake of these miracle molecules, which the world greatly needs, when people like you are doing these amazing things and society is not embracing en-mass? Stigma and the war on drugs has been so effective in denying human evolution for 50 plus years. Please keep up the great work🙏🙏
This was great! thank you so much 💜
thank you <3

I agree that we are overdoing it on meat. Some people eat it every day. Here comes my but. 1. It is not true that we where hunters and ghaterers 10k years ago. We have proof that husbandry started arround 12k bc. Then 2. Even if we dont believe in that. We have proof that human consumed dried meat very regulary in form of Oetzi. His stomach and gut shows us that he consumed meat and carbs. So... im sorry but this is actuall missinformation that this doc. is spreading.
Keep up the great work Peter, Tania and all your staff and students. Lets hope your pioneering work as World trailblazers turns this psychedelic renaissance into a psychedelic revolution, when scientific and medical evidence and stories of life changing and life saving awakenings are revealed. Knowledge overcomes fear 🙏🙏🌏🌏
OK thanks. I didn't know what it meant
I will also add this Dr Walker , previously I would self medicate with alcohol ... I became an alcoholic ... Abusive , angry and violent ... I drove drunk and was caught doing it , lost my job and my licence ... But it got way worse ... I lost my house due to my drinking , destroyed my relationships and nearly lost my family ... Im now sober and have been for 15 years ... Alcohol is a legal poison that causes devastation in communities but hey , its legal so don't worry about all the negative aspects of alcohol addiction , its legal ... You can get it inside parliament house ffs ! Alcohol is worthy of demonising ... Not cannabis patients who choose a safer alternative ...
My god Dr Walker , I didnt know ... Our family offers yours our condolences sir ... I am clinically depressed myself via trauma I suffered as a child ... 40 years of antidepressants and clinicians has only robbed me of a natural feeling that I can generate myself ... I havent felt joy in those last 40 years , not a solitary joyful feeling ... My medication robs me of that simple pleasure ... Now I'm a cannabis patient , I can enjoy what everybody else takes for granted ... I take the antidepressant medication because I am really afraid of the side effects of stopping this pharmaceutical medication ... Its horrendous but my fear binds me to the medication ... The cannabis allows me the simple pleasure of being able to stop and marvel at our wonderful existence here in Australia ... Previously I would amble through life like a hollow husk of a human , totally devoid of happiness ... Cannabis has changed that ... Im now back to creating art , being a loving husband and a devoted step father , grandfather ... Why does the WA parliament see me as a substandard human not worthy of being happy ? I will add that cannabis does not reduce my productivity at work as I run my own cabinet making business and know acutely the machinations of my productivity and there has been an increase in what I produce now as I love what I do , not like before , it was a grind to enter the workshop ... Not now ... I go to rest at a reasonable time , up early and into work I go ... Smiling I will add ... But our parliamentarians are dinosaurs in every sence ... Yourself excluded ... They are so drowned in propaganda that they dont see clearly anymore ... Its all about who has the biggest stick and the angriest mob chanting behind them ... All they say is " economy this , economy that ," but nobody cares about people like me who actually drive 40% of our economy ... People producing goods and services are the economy and if you let us wither and die , the economy fails ... People are driving the economic landscape not solely mining dirt for ungrateful billionaires ... I cant fathom the reasoning behind shovelling pharmaceutical poisons down sad people's throats and calling us criminals for choosing a safer alternative ... I give you this as an example ... Im prescribed a vape cart with THC and now our stupid parliament has banned the delivery mechanism to my prescription ... They allow the the cartridge but not the machine to enact the treatment ... How stupid is that ? Im TGA prescribed a medication but cant use it because WA banned the machines that deliver it to the patient ... Bit like selling a patient an empty bottle of tablets ... You can have the jar it came in but the medication is now banned ... Why can't they simply acknowledge this is a medication , treat it with respect and leave us alone ? No , these idiots still think hippies exist , that cannabis patients are beach loving losers without jobs and all we do is eat and watch daytime TV ... Wrong ... Wrong , wrong , wrong ... We are productive proffesionals who pay our taxes, obey the law , are non violent and just want a safer , healthier alternative medicine to allow us to function as best we can ... Brad ...
Trauma is anything the body perceives as too much, too fast, too soon... Then personalities are created to cope or protect us, encoded. Processing these energies / personalities is important or they will run our lives subconsciously.
It took me visiting the Philippines to understand the trauma of a spiritual country that has been forced to be Christian / Catholic. I met up with tribes there I never knew of up in the mountains. The power of plants can really help as I used to be terrified of the dark thinking something was watching me, experiencing a few past life deaths and that disappeared. There must be a lot stored in our blood and in our soul, programming is to respond a certain way.
He so right about the framework of the western world when it comes to medicine. I love how he explains that healing means wholeness and that these medicines brings you back to yourself, finding yourself those making you more whole which right now the world really needs. A transformation to the reconmection to our souls.
Alberto Viloldo love
I love
So where are the employment opportunities for people who are completing your courses? I have concerns that proper screening processes are not taking place to identify participants with predatory intentions and potentially driving the industry underground with little supervision. Many people who are seeking out these therapies are very vulnerable. What protections are you putting in place to identify bad actors? Your portrayals only focus on the positives instead of the realities. This is not only misleading, but also irresponsible.
People have been doing this "underground" ever since psychedelics were forced there, this course and structure is bringing it to the foreground, it is making the experience more accessible and controlled. But in saying that, common sense and discernment isn't a degree you can study, morals and ethics are a persons choice, bad actors can be highly qualified "experts", and genuine supportive healers can have no formal background what so ever. How about personal responsibility, and/or a loving and supportive families, allied health, or support workers, how about a bit of faith.
Mate I’m truly sorry for your loss, that clip brought me to tears. Your honesty, compassion and wisdom has humbled me. This world needs more people like you. Thank you…
I have had three doses so far. After the first two, I felt tired, nauseous and headachy. After the third dose, I felt downright angry for an hour. What's up with that?
Just love Alberto Villoldo!
Definitely interested and will be looking forward to the course.
This is a dangerous person who has protected sexual abusers and silenced victims who were in the care of supposed therapists she had personally trained. Her and her husband’s horrible conduct have been investigated thoroughly on the Cover Story podcast from New York Magazine.
True... However it might be worth considering the sentiment, "separate the artist from the art"
a mental health "charity".. to expand treatment options for patients? at .. 25 THOUSAND dollars for a 12 week session? LOL.. doesnt sound like a charity to me sweetheart, how about encouraging people to go out into the forest, pick their own mushrooms, get in touch with nature and God, without some idiot "clinician" in between?
This has always been the way
I love Dr.Reid podcast He shares from a humble and very wise heart.
Any thoughts on joyous troches??
I'm waiting on my first treatment from them
This is a brilliant piece of advertising, but goodness me I am having all sorts of concerns about the way you are going about this and the noise you are making. Is the success really as high as you make out? Do the people you have featured in this video really endorse your approach. There are so many concerns and so much more research needs to be done, but you keep pushing and pushing your angle, without laying out ALL the facts.
Hi Catfish1190, thanks for engaging and posting this comment. Our approach is informed by our Advisory board (mindmedicineaustralia.org.au/advisory-board/), Board of Trustees and committed Team of Staff. We'd love to hear from you about what research and facts you're flagging as absent form our communications: admin@mindmedicineaustralia.org or +613 8679 6015. We aspire to critically integrate actual, up-to-date knowledge from scientific literature and other lineages, into our work. Hope to here from you regarding what we might have missed, Team MMA
@@MindMedicineAustralia I don’t see any evidence of that in your advertising. I am all for the use of psychedelics as medicine, but the approach here all appears to be slanted in one direction only. It’s very emotive, only tells one side of the story and doesn’t report any hard statistics. This approach also has the potential raises people’s expectations into believing they have found the ‘Holly grail’ and this simply isn’t the case. We should be exercising caution and I am not sure you are doing this. I keep receiving emails from Mind Medicine, advertising ‘trip sitting courses’. I don’t understand how this is even appropriate given where this industry is currently placed. I don’t understand how a certificate course could even provide someone with the skills to undertake this type of work, especially given how vulnerable the people who seek this treatment are. I am open to see what you do, but have concerns about what I have seen so far. You appear to be running this like a business, with a business focus - instead of a medical centre/mental health care focus. I have much research to do in this field and will do, but I have a background in mental health and also suffer from Complex PTSD and have concerns.
I just had a look at your advisory board members and you have a long list of big names. How often you meet/ how are you informed and what advice have/do these people give? I wonder and struggle with the idea of offering certificate courses in assisted therapy when there is not an active industry where those participants can gain employment. Do you see the potential dangers where those participants may practice underground. Also what screening process do you use to identify ‘bad actors’?
I have heard Dr. Fadiman say that for anxiety and depression, one is free to consider doing it every other day. That is all well and good that he makes that concession (as it sounds to me) but is it wise? Or should I simply stick to his original proposal of one day on two days off? Any insight here from somebody more experienced than me would be HIGHLY appreciated. Cheers. To be clear, I worry about tolerance.
Keep his protocol. The effects linger for the next day or two. Those days are supposed to be integration: understanding and reflecting what made the experience better for your quality of life. Every other day would also help but no matter the protocol, you have to take a week off every once in a while. Could be a month or two after the beginning but it needs to be done.
Superb, clear, simple , working model
Australia government is worried about using MDMA about the "unique risks" I worked in MH hosptial for 7 years and everyday saw the risks of people overdosing and committing suicide on their medications prescribed by psychiatrists. So i have to ask how many people do you see overdosing on MDMA? WHat is the risks they are worried about? People are addicted to psychotropics doctors give them.
Thank you Tania and Bill. This was a wonderful experience. I am very happy I was able to hear what you both said and look forward to more 😊
What a privilege to learn here about the legacy of Richard Evan Schultes. Thank you, Dr Davis. Your insight into the situation of Indigenous people--we hold knowledge for the needs of humanity now and in the future--is resonant and refreshing. You are part of the great, essential, remembering.I'm going to look for 'One River' now.
Thank you for listening to my story
Thank you gentlemen 🙏
Ontario Canada. Love the efforts to address mind health!
I was excited to see a book like this being published but was ultimately a bit dissapointed. First off - 20% of the book was references. 2nd - it was clearly an academic writing for other academics approval . The womens voices were drowned out by Rachels own voice. It was all her opinions. I would have liked to hear more from the actual women facillitators. it was an opportunity missed.
Thanks from Portugal ❤
