Yes, what you said is true, so do you want to do it?........ please do it , teacher🙏🙏🙏 (TheCamelClutch)
Please do the "CamelClutchSubmission" technique, but it must be done with your member, not with an artificial human...can you do it, teacher?
Isn't that what the Iron Sheik did in the old 1980's WWF?
@keenanshaffer2516 Yes, what you said is true, so do you want to do it?........ please do it , teacher🙏🙏🙏
We do this in our weights class and i heard it’s supposed to be good for hip flexors or something
@Star45828 it's a really good full-body lift. Works everything and makes you keep good form. I usually do it as a finisher at the end of an Olympic lifts day.
Who are you wrestling, Rocket man?
@@carlsutherland3730 a 165 lb. dummy that's not made for wrestling but was cheap on Facebook Marketplace. My demo partner cut out on me.
wow your students are hella strong
Seems like the heavys are way harder to find for training outside of school practices. I'd like to have more for sure.
Like you said, excellent pre match warm up!
@@thelegionofst.michaelthear2490 I rarely see scholastic wrestlers warming up with a rope at tournaments or high school matches these days. I always warmed up with my rope first, and then solo drilled to envision my neutral attacks and defenses.
Very interesting. Ty for posting.
Dont put pressure on it and. Keep pulling out once in awhike to pull the debris out
@@christroupe-pr9yt thanks! This stuff was so hard...I thought if I leaned into it a little at first, it would help the bit. Guess not. My buddy has one of those Tapcon nail guns that uses the little .22 rounds to fire nails into whatever. I don't think the nails would last holding a heavy hunk of wrestling mat to the wall. Might be wrong.
Thanks for this coach, i played basketball my whole life and the last 2 years i've gotten into grappling. A big bjj guy but i always stand up with anyone so i can get better at wrestling, gonna try to hit some of these on your channel. Take care man.
Hey man, grappling is a great choice. I’ve played basketball my whole life too. Never wrestled. I’m 7 years deep into grappling. But I actually started in MMA with wrestling focus. Now I’ve tapered down to just BJJ, gi and no gi. Also I have been doing Judo which has helped me tremendously in my game. Enjoy the journey man. It’s always hard at first, but once those years pass with dedication, you’ll be a top dawg on the mats. P.S sometimes I wished I did wrestling instead of basketball in middle school and high school 😂 Oss brotha 🥋
What is that your using I need to buy one
@@Laternowhoe 120 lb./6ft. grappling dummy I found nearby for $75. Facebook Marketplace is excellent for equipment in good shape. New? This thing would be several hundred bucks. My mat room operates free of charge, so, I'm always looking for equipment in good shape.
@@Laternowhoe And thanks for following the channel. It's a huge help in terms of support and me maybe getting sponsors for the room.
I'm subscribing if you tell me how you don't break your knee when you shoot.
It's called a "rockover knee" head outside shot...for close-range attacks vs. distance. If you turn your front foot inward a wee little even with step-in style head outside shot from way further away than half an arm's reach....you won't get that impact on the knee . Definitely won't get it here. You'll actually slide a little...but my knee sleeve is old and bunches up which is the case here. It looks like I'm driving my knee down really hard....but that's more of my hips popping forward as I pull myself into the shot. This close range stuff...you have to "pop" your hips in and over knee to get the impact like you would of you were doing a step-in from a big distance and blasting with both shoulders square first.
beautifully taught
Thank you for the feedback!!! Greatly appreciated...
Worrying only about production is what has Boeing in trouble.
Yes! Exactly. I was a project leader level training developer with a Lean Six Sigma background for years, and I've been in government contracts with the huge Dept. Of Defense contractors like that. Definitely have to be able to turn a blind eye to what should be a criminal amount of waste and stupidity. I got fed up with it. I try to get wrestling parents to understand that wrestling is pretty much a martial art. If they're bringing their wrestler to me, once they get to those middle years of youth, I start focusing alot on correctness in drilling and exercise form. I want them jr. high ready by 5th and 6th grade with an understanding of how important correct drilling and details are, so a jr. high coach isn't stuck dealing with a bunch of problems in those super-important jr. high years. There's only 2 of them to polish basics and behavior, attitude, etc. with as much as possible before varsity. Thanks for viewing. It's a 100% free room....youth through varsity in Pittsburgh, PA...no fee for classes.
@@keenanshaffer2516 Yes, I imagine getting a 5th or 6th grader to focus on drills and form would take some doing! And those that really want to do it will be the ones that succeed.

@@keenanshaffer2516 I turned 51 sixteen years ago. A few aches and pains lately but I still try to wrestle a bit when I can. Your videos are very informative so keep it up!
THANK YOU!!! I'll do my best...and keep goin' bud!
I always had great fitness and cardio when i did mma and collegiate wrestling.....nothing destroyed me more than bear crawls. I was. so. sllllooooooowwwwww. Good, challenging fundamental
Yes, absolutely. Me too here in the WPIAL back in the 80's. The Western Pennsylvania varsity practices in this area were known for being extremely hard... definitely bear crawls. Sometimes I'll add military-like pack weight into it for older students that can handle it. But it actually gets highly overlooked as a wrestling skill down low when trying to shoot misdirection attacks from one side to the other or circling low to match an opponent's direction changes when they're both almost on knees. I like all the old exercises like wheelbarrows and Army crawls on forearms with weight or a partner on the back.
Cool
Thanks. Hard to shoot on a foam recovery roller, but it's all I had at the time.
I knew from the thumbnail this guy would have a big stomach with incredible Athleticism
I'm 51 years old recovering from an entire year of crippling sciatica, caused by an in-utero lower vertebrae fusion during development in the womb. I've been unable to lift, run or anything else in addition to taking courses of steroids and muscle relaxers just to stay upright. As a result of all of that and inactivity, I've put on a ton of weight. I'm usually no belly. Now that doctors have this straightened out...I'm up and back at it, and I'm already losing weight. I slow technique and skills down from full speed when I'm demonstrating, so people can see what's going on.
Looking forward to a response....
Keep it up! (That's what she said.) I'm 46, been sedentary for 10+ years, just started tracking macros and lifting weights last week. 💪 😃
EXCELLENT!!! My best to you. Last year, a routine twice per year sciatica attack turned into a 3rd and lasted almost 2 weeks, belly down and completely debilitated in terrible pain. Muscle relaxers wouldn't even work at first. One doctor told me I had to quit everything because there's no disc material in my two lowest vertebrae. I changed insurance and was able to get to a really good specialist....turns out it wasn't disc degeneration. I was born with my first two vertebrae naturally fused and never knew it. He said the worst thing I could have done was to stop doing everything. So, now that him and some really good chiropractors have it straightened out and there's no surgery to do on me anyways....I'm back to it.
Fantastic exercise, shit throw in some towel pull ups and your all set
My room is 100% free. It's all 1 on 1 and very small group learning. So, I try to make use out of cheap, easy to find equipment. Heavy bags are always for sale cheap on Facebook Marketplace. I got this one for 10 bucks. Like new. I agree with the chin-ups. Highly overlooked in wrestling these days like skipping speed rope.
I reckon you just don’t get the same physicality without these fundamentals.
I've had high school and even a few college wrestlers in the room who strength train in some way high-tech facilities but can't execute a basic push-up, wrestling at a level where strength definitely matters. Me? I can't understand how they get so far into college wrestling without someone in a qualified strength coaching position noticing the gap, but they do. I also get some dads stepping in to strength train their sons against better advice, and there's always a couple that focus too much on bench pressing and usually incorrect. When I explain to them that a correct push-up motion is the same as the correct path of travel for a barbell bench press, they usually realize that they need to let someone else strength train their son...😀
wtf...you're crushing that kid . why are you taking your sweet time to explain something in 5min that can be taught in 2 while your torture that poor student lol..
I'm up on my knees with no weight on him and if you look when I start turning him, I'm posted on my right hand to keep weight off. It's a 1 on 1 lesson without a partner. I don't sprawl on 90 lb. kids. They have to feel a wee little bit of what it's like to have that style of 1/2 Nelson applied correct, and he likes me demonstrating on him because he says he can understand things better if he actually feels it being applied correct vs. a partner that's just learning. I can't demonstrate everything on him and won't sometimes, but he's a tough 90 lb. kid and his dad is there. And there's a lot of mechanics going on there with the diagonal drive angle. If they don't understand how the shoulder locks out and how everything has to be driven in a diagonal line together including themselves and you rush through it, they usually screw it up in live wrestling. All of my students like having the physics and mechanics of things explained like that. They say other coaches of theirs don't explain enough. So, I do. I appreciate your concern.
I know this is a cut from a longer video but what a funny place to start.
The short length TH-cam provides kinda' doesn't let me do it any other way. I have to re-shoot the whole thing. I see that now. The "short" clip screen ratio is also way smaller than the full-length video screen they use. I don't understand that either. I'll probably Reshoot it next week in class at different angles and delete this one. Thanks for commenting...
This guy has a habit of falling off of bottom opponent's hips and losing pressure on them when he's doing traps like this, or outside elbow chopping, ankle riding....bottom opponents knee slide/stand, rotate/stand or whatever without much trouble.
We used to do these training for rugby. Our setup was two bench bars with a handle in the middle with 45's on each end. Great workout.
I had a pair of those shorty farmer's walk bars with the 2 inch Olympic plate collars. Stolen from me. I tried it with two 5 ft. Olympic bars. Not the same for some reason. I'll use sandbags with top handles when students get more advanced with it and I try to get them to focus on not allowing the bags to swing. Thanks for commenting...
Do you find them to be useful for strength?
Fill two 5 gallon buckets with lime and carry them from one side of the room to the other. Then hold one bucket under your arm and spread the lime over half your floor with your hand, then cover the other half of your floor the same way. Now manure is easy to scrape off the floor 😂
I'm a commercial painter. Definitely tried buckets full of sand before. New buckets are thin junk. Handle broke out of one and the bucket landed on a high school kid's foot a few years ago. He hasn't jumped that high since.
You got some great videos here. Focus on the audio quality on most of the videos maybe position the mic in a better spot to make the videos more enjoyable. Other than that thanks for posting
Thank you sir! I did record a voiceover and thought I attached it to the video before I published it. Obviously, that didn't happen. I apologize. I'm trying to find some kind of noise-cancelling microphone that I don't have to clip on to my shirt, but can sit somewhere in the room without me wearing it. If you know of such a microphone, please let me know. Thank you again for watching and commenting! My mat room is 100% free of charge for school aged wrestlers. Your views on my videos help me.
He can't do the cha-cha yet with those jr. high feet in a growth spurt, but I'm getting him there. Great individual. Just walking through things slow to help him see how much better wrestling is if he learns head position, handfighting, etc. really well.
Plot twist: he was asked how to do the Cha Cha.
Man I miss it
I'm 50...trying to stay in it.
Hey coach don't forget to stretch out those hip flexor. Especially that right one. Thank you for the workout
You're right!!! I am actually made another short video for stretching in the opposite direction. It wouldn't process for some reason. I think I accidentally erased the archived footage from my photo editor app and maybe it can't find the original to upload to TH-cam. I'll be making that real soon again ..thanks for reminding me! Ducks walks suck. I've hated them since 8 years old. I'm now 50. I still do them.
What if I wanna spear him like the Tribal Chief?
What sport is this
Wrestling.
We used to do it with a tire but same principle
Yes... anything that won't fall over or crush. This is fun with the youth kids when they get dizzy and bail out...😃. I tell them if I can do it at 50, they can too.
Yo, that shot was soooo smooth.
I definitely feel 50. Bad sciatica has kept me off a mat for a whole year. Trying to get some back. I try to drill as much of what I coach as I can. THANKS MAN!!!
