Use a thinner plasterboard on the square bit, then just scrim the internal andbpatch up flush to existing plaster. You're welcome 🙏
Yeah better to use a 9.5mm PB I think mate 🤙
Hello, what is the black plastic film? Is it a waterproof film? What is its function? I look forward to your answer.
Hi, it’s DPC, (Damp proof course) to stop rising damp in to the floor and walls above. 👍
Потом в этом месте переламывается кабель
They haven't laid dpc below floor blocks where they go from beam to wall at perimeters of walls. This is a build regs requirement.
No it’s not Kevin..
I call that a A HOLE REPAIR 🕳 😂.

@@extendaspace-constructionc821 🤣🤣
And the purpose of that?
To make wedges for any packing you might need.!
@@extendaspace-constructionc821 aha!makes sense thank you for replying

I love 3rd world country technologies
To be fair England is in the 3rd world
So instead of using a drawing compas, you just need a drill, screw and a wire with dimensions based on eyeballing... nice.
Thanks mate for your constructive criticism.. but WTF is a drawing compass ?
@extendaspace-constructionc821 How can someone in the trade not know what that is? Where you from? Might be called something different
@@BamaLam4 well we’ve only just discovered fire where we live so this drawing compass you talk of is state of the art technology bro..
@@extendaspace-constructionc821 That's strange because I live in the UK too and we discovered fire quite some time ago.
that IS pretty useless
I agree !!
so smart bro 😮😮
how did you do that so cool and smart nice 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks mate 🤙
Just no! The only hole saw hack is use a hole saw!
Absolutely!!👍
Expensive way
How is it?
nice work mate
Cheers mate

Obviously my understanding of a circle is a bit different.
Obviously I’ve seen better circles but it gets you out of trouble if you don’t have a hole saw, but only do this when it’s not seen!
Are these the new nevasharp chisels?
Got it in one.. they cut bricks really well too 😂
If your adding a heavy duty plate, use the proper screws as well
Nice watch bro
I could rub those up with my knee
Good worker construction work ❤
This is a recommended method of installing coving. In all my life in the construction industry, i have never seen anyone do this
How long you been in the construction industry?? .. a week.. 💁🏻♀️
@extendaspace-constructionc821 Hi. I'm nearly 60, so have been in the industry for over 40, plus the time I spent working with my dad. I've seen a lot of changes in the industry and a lot of new techniques introduced. I've used a triangle shaped jig to cut the cove, not sure if you have seen this. It was very accurate, whereas a mitre jig use to leave a gap in the middle. Not sure if you know what mean. Hope to see more of your stuff in the future.
Stop playing with it 😅 leave it alone boyyyy. Hit it when it’s curing.
Mate I can’t help it.. it’s addictive 😂😂😂
Roof looks like a church pitch… terrible doesn’t match the existing.. if you were a good carpenter you would know that’s a massive no no….. cmon boys stick to buttering bricks 🧱 where you can be rough…. Not building frames tiss tiss
Shut up baz you turkey.. it’s the same pitch/angle as the existing roof.. mind your own you 🔔 end
That’s why I need to learn how to do this DIY on my parents house where I live. Look at all those guys on site, getting £150/200 easy. £800 a day labour easy. That’s why loft conversions cost £50,000!!! I want to do it in around £15,000.
That's jointing, and it's too wet to joint.
Looks fantastic, do you not need to prime/score the paint first?
A buddy of mine used to work with a guy that did a loft conversion in half an hour.
What’s that UB doing?
Looks great 👍
nice
Nice job mate. I'm just wondering if you could have used the masonry type joist hangers cut into the brickwork to support the joist ends instead of cutting all those pockets? I think less cutting would have be required but perhaps you had a reason not to use them.
I hear the Police are looking for those big perps.
Judging by those views I would say that’s Ashford…my home town!
Hey guys! Im planning a conversion like this myself and just wanted to ask.. i noticed your ridge beem is resting on a timber post going down to the central load bearing wall.. now, in my house my central wall is not directly below my ridge, what will i need to do here?? Thanks
It’s literally a cupboard lol. I’ve got a 3 bed bungalow and can’t wait to get it done as I get double the house
Hi, whats the grey adhesive called?
How do you know when the best time to joint it? I keep smearing my brickwork after pointing 👍
Hi mate, it should start to firm up, but not too firm.. then once you’ve jointed it, leave it to dry for about an hour then brush it all over with a soft brush/broom head to knock all the snots off 👍
