Tough Questions
มุมมอง 6621 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
On this stand alone weekend, we will look at questions that have been sent in from Boulder Mountain. When we face questions we don't understand or can't answer, we are to bring humility. Be willing to say 'I don't know' and then seek God's Word first. With essentials, we are to have unity, and in non-essentials, liberty, but in all things, charity. Opening: 00:00 Is the Bible imperfect: 03:02 I...
The God Who Sees

The longing to be seen, heard, and valued persists throughout life, shaping our interactions and deeply influencing how we experience love and belonging. This week we will focus on the story of one woman. This story demonstrates God's attentiveness, as He sees her in her distress, asks meaningful questions, and provides for her, showing that His care extends to those society may overlook. To be...
God Is Not Fair
มุมมอง 2821 วันที่ผ่านมา
Jesus taught us that God is not fair. Most people think that fairness requires equal treatment for everyone, but when it comes to salvation, God simply isn’t fair. Even today, people don’t like to hear that idea. Good Christian people want God to be fair-but He isn’t. God is just…not fair. This shows us that God is in fact “Just” which is so much better than fair. His grace is far beyond anythi...
;But God

Every time the Bible says “;but God,” it is great news that follows. To the left of ‘;but God’ appears some of the worst human atrocities, characterized by disobedience and rebellion. To the left of ‘But God’ is hopelessness, darkness, and death. But to its right, following ‘;but God,’ we will find hope, light, and life. With humanity some things are impossible. With God’s intervention, all thi...
The Season Of Grace: Let Us Adore Him
มุมมอง 36หลายเดือนก่อน
Jude writes one of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible, often referred to as the doxology. This prayer is all about what God does and what we receive. That is how grace works. God does the work, and we are the beneficiaries. Saying yes to Jesus means that God declares you without fault, blameless and He does so "with great joy!"

The Bible does not have any contradictions. It is perfect. The greatest ‘con’ of the 2011 NIV, of course, is the inclusion of gender-neutral language and the necessity of interpreting rather than translating in order to present a more culturally sensitive or politically correct version. When studying a passage, a good practice is to read it in several versions, both literal and dynamic. If there are places where the various translations seem to go in different directions, then more study is necessary to determine what issues of translation and interpretation are in play. In a biblical worldview, we don’t expect alien life to exist on other planets. The Bible tells us earth was formed to be inhabited and the other celestial bodies were created for signs, seasons, days, and years. Jesus came to earth to save us-not to another planet to save another race of beings.

This is what 'Jesus' taught about MONEY: “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be loved to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” ”Sell your possessions and give to the poor.” This puts things into perspective about the Christian views on MONEY.

The Book of Ecclesiastes is a HEBREW book which elucidates the importance (and method) of developing an intimate relationship with the ONE TRUE G-d, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is what is called by Christians erroneously as the 'Old Testament' as though it no longer matters - yet, here we are discussing it once again because developing such a relationship with G-d is of extreme importance which is WHY it is the MOST COMMON theme of the Original Hebrew Scriptures. Ecclesiastes describes the meaninglessness of living without a close and intimate relationship with G-d. In the books of Genesis, we see that G-d created the world and though He called it “good.” humanity turned its back on Him which is what is considered a sin. Turning you back on G-d is the greatest sin of all. These are the primary points so often downplayed or ignored entirely: A Relationship With G-d Gives Life ETERNAL Meaning. This is accomplished through studying his works (Torah) and His commandments which (once fully understood) gives greater meaning to WHO and WHAT G-d is and how He can affect your life and the lives of those around you. Focus on God's Gifts. The 'glory' of G-d is all around you and yet it is almost entirely ignored by the majority of people, daily. The End Justify the Beginning and the Middle. Everyone is lost in the beginning and often times throughout your life. But to seek out the origin of all life, is to justify the path. God Is in Control. Pray to achieve a greater understand and knowledge of G-d. Study His works in order to maintain an intimate relationship with Him. ALWAYS: Follow G-d's Commandments. It is first through study of the Original Hebrew text (YES, even in English) that we form an understanding of G-d and what it takes to have an intimate relationship with Him. Striving for an Intimate Relationship With God Gives Life Meaning and Understanding. Focus on God's Works. This is what is referred to as 'The Glory of G-d'. Look around you and see G-d in your life. To do otherwise is to IGNORE G-d. Never ignore G-d or His messages to you. AGAIN, REMEMBER: Always Study and Follow God's Commandments. 'Jesus' said that they have NOT been done away with, for what would you eliminate first? Murder? Rape? Theft? Giving false testimony? Turning you r back on G-d? No. Follow ALL of the Commandments of G-d. THAT's what 'Jesus' said to do. These are the primary messages of The Book of Ecclesiastes.

Just because a person is against genocide, the slaughter of 48,000 Palestinians, in which 15,500 were CHILDREN does not mean they are antisemitic. Many of the student protestors are Jewish. As a Christian I can not support Israel's atrocities. They don't deserve a pass to brutalize and murder the Palestinians for 75 years and claim they have the right to Palestine because they are the Chosen. They are no longer the Chosen. John 2:22-23, "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also." If you are "standing beside them" then you are supporting their genocide. Shame, shame on you!

God said in Genesis 12 that He would bless Abram .He did not say He would bless the nation of Israel or to bless those who bless Israel. This is the lie we hear constantly in Zionist churches. The people in Israel are Caucasian, European prostyle Jews, not true Jews by the blood of a Jewish mother. 80% of Israelis are secular, atheists. In 70 AD God through Titus' Roman army destroyed the temple and Jerusalem and took the Jews captive where they then were scattered across the earth. This is called the diaspora. If God had wanted the temple to remain no power on earth could have destroyed God's house. God wanted it destroyed because the Jews rejected Christ and nailed Him naked to a cross.

I am a JEW. Yes, my people are HATED the world over. YES, I fear for my life daily. Interesting that we (the Jewish people) comprise less than POINT 2 percent (0.02%) of the entire population of the world and yet have so positively effected the planet in such various ways - YET, so many people are SO jealous. and hateful of a small minority that they wish to wipe us off of the earth altogether. Here is what is so interesting about my people. Perhaps you should consider the following before you JUDGE against us: 1. The Jewish people have survived and thrived for thousands of years despite numerous repeated attempts to eradicate us. 2. Judaism is one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the world, if not THE oldest. 3. Jewish culture is rich and diverse, with unique traditions and customs unlike any other in the world. 4. The Jewish people have contributed immeasurably to science, philosophy, art, music, and literature. 5. The Hebrew language is one of the world's oldest continuously used languages. 6. Jewish holidays and traditions are celebrated and observed around the world and are the very BEGINNINGS of both Christianity and Islam though they HATE us horribly and many want to murder us. 7. The Jewish people have a long and fascinating history, including the regularly misunderstood biblical stories and ancient empires. 8. Judaism as a religion promotes the value of education, literacy and the pursuit of knowledge. 9. Jewish communities have a strong sense of solidarity and support for one another and are amongst the lowest divorce rates in the world. 10. Jews have played significant roles in social and political movements, including both civil rights and women's rights though usually the opposite is said about them. 11. The Jewish people have a deep connection to the land of Israel and have been living there since pre-biblical times before any other organized nation or religion. 12. Jewish tradition teaches the importance of 'tikkun olam' (which means repairing the world) and at its center is social justice. 13. Though their numbers are small and globally minute, the Jewish people have made excessively important contributions to the fields of medicine and healthcare and continue to do research to further humanity across all cultures (YES, even Christians and Muslims!) 14. Jewish cuisine is delicious and diverse, with unique dishes and flavors often copied and borrowed by other mid-eastern cultures. 15. Jewish music is beautiful and scripturally meaningful, with a wide range of styles and genres, also copied widely across the world.. 16. Jewish art is rich and varied, reflecting the history and culture of the Jewish people throughout the millennium. 17. Jewish literature is profound and insightful, with many classic works that continue to be studied and admired. 18. Jewish humor is witty and clever, with a unique perspective on life that is intended to both entertain and teach valuable life lessons. 19. Jewish communities have a strong tradition of philanthropy and charitable giving to all cultures (YES, even its enemies that wish to remove them from the surface of the planet). 20. Jewish families have a strong sense of tradition, community and continuity. 21. Jewish weddings are joyful and meaningful, with unique customs and traditions drawing directly on biblical references many other religions often ignore. 22. Jewish temples and synagogues are beautiful and richly historical, often inspiring due to a strong biblical participation which includes learning and understanding of biblical scripture, with a special focus on community and spirituality. 23. The Jewish people have a deep respect for the environment and the natural world and care of all life considered to be special and unique - each individually created by G-d. 24. Jewish tradition promotes the importance of family, marriage, children and community. 25. Jews have played important roles in the fields of law and justice drawing much of its application directly from G-d's biblically expressed laws. 26. Jewish tradition teaches the importance and application of forgiveness and reconciliation. 27. The Jewish people have a strong connection to the first 5 books of the bible referred to as Torah and its teachings as well as the tanakh, poems and prayers often ignored by other religions. 28. Jewish communities have a rich and unique history of both artistic and cultural expression. 29. Jewish communities have a long history of supporting education and scholarship derived from its spiritual connection with G-d and the bible as a whole. 30. Jewish communities have a strong tradition of volunteerism and community service which are considered mitzvot of biblical expression. 31. Jewish tradition emphasizes the importance of gratitude and appreciation. there are even specific holidays devoted to learning about this and expressing it to neighbors and communities in general. 32. Jewish communities have a strong sense of devotion, belonging and identity. 33. Jewish tradition promotes the importance of ethical behavior and moral values due to its biblical connection. 34. Jewish tradition values the importance of self-reflection and personal growth through a personal connection with G-d directly. 35. Needless to say, Jewish communities have a rich history of entrepreneurship and individual business growth and success. I personally invite you to learn and grow in the Jewish community and faith as well as to develop a personal relationship with the ONE TRUE G-d, the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the bible. Remember, Jesus was a JEW teaching Judaism. Learn about his faith and what in meant to him.

@@lemongate4869 It doesn't really matter what you label him as long as you realize that he was important in the realization of the rest of the world that his covenant was and always is secure in the ONE TRUE G-d. If you wish to CALL him a Jew long before the land of Judah (which is where the term "Jewish" and "Jew" comes from), that's fine with me. It's simply a label. It may be an inaccurate label, but a label none the less that simply serves the purpose of identification with a particular important group of people and believers. What many Christians (and other religious affiliations) fail to realize is that the 'Holy Land' was initially split into two parts, north and south. ONLY the south was referred to as 'Judah' whereas the north was simply called 'Israel'. If you were of the strict monotheistic Mosaic covenant and lived in the north - you were an Israelite. If you lived in the south - in the land of Judah, you were considered a Jew. The north was pretty much wiped out as a religious institution and the priesthood fled to the south and little of it remains today. Judah is the ONLY very tiny remnant. Was Abraham a precursor to the Jewish faith? Certainly. Was he a 'The First Jew' from the land of Judah... ahhh, no.

Blasphemous! God gave us the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, not the Jews! The Jews lost their title of the Chosen People when they rejected Christ and had Him nailed naked to the cross. Are you thankful for that?

Judaism is indeed very special and in Judaism one is Jewish if & only if born to a Jewish mother (not if actually practicing / believing / living religiously like you mentioned in the beginning). It is the strongest identity of all religions as one can't just become Jewish (unless converts which is very hard, takes a few years of very hard work and as we see nowadays doesn't come with any benefits so very few do convert..). It also has the longest ancestral lineage. Our ancient priestly Cohen lineages directly descended from those serving in the Holy Temple of Jerusalem ~80 generations ago. The common values between Judaism and Christianity are basically same that it is amazing and always heartwarming to see. Esp thesedays with what we go through in Israel, very hard. God bless & love from Jerusalem 🇮🇱❤

As a practicing Jewish man myself, I respectfully disagree with many of your points here. I have brought many people out of the grim darkness of other faiths and no faith at all to Judaism's joy and loveliness. Though SOME Rabbis like to stretch the conversion process to years out of FEAR of outsiders and outside anti-Semitic influence, it is not true across the board. It is true, we as Jews have learned to be a fearful people out of sad necessity - but it hasn't always been this way and it need not be this way today if you associate with the correct rabbi. (Rabbi Asher Meza may be a good place to begin.) If you are already Jewish by heritage, there is no requirement to 'convert' - only to participate, learn our customs and beliefs and COMMIT to the higher learning of Torah - not just the children's version taught in all Christian Sunday Schools. The 'benefits' that you state you do not see are immeasurable as I have listed in my 35 point comment here. PLUS, you attain a higher level of understanding of the ONE TRUE G-d and how to develop a personal relationship with Him - something NOT taught in any other religious organization or school. It is more beautiful than our imagination can paint. Though there is common ground between Judaism and Christianity, the levels of learning and understanding of how Hebrew scripture (yes, even read in English) applies to our understanding of living our lives is beyond any scope of description on a page. I have had MANY Christians inquire as to my faith and after teaching them about the TRUE interpretation of biblical scripture have often cried tears of joy and come to synagogue to learn more. There is never any force or requirement to convert. Just come and learn. Not so tough. Don't kid yourself, at least take it upon yourself to learn Torah's meanings and application to everyday life. No, you don't HAVE TO LEARN HEBREW to do that! Come and have FUN with it! There is no pressure, no hate and no HFB. Only laughter and enjoyment. Guaranteed!

@@Jubal.Harshaw Judaism has always been the furthest thing from a missionary religion seeking conversions. It is not out of fear, but because it goes against the very nature of Judaism as an identity passed down through an unbroken maternal lineage. This is why there are relatively few Jews globally, not to mention the tragedies of our history - and in this regard the no benefits I mentioned, as you know in every generation there are those who rise up to destroy us - this is part of the Jewish experience from the beginning of times. Yet the eternal nation persists, however small, for we are the people God chose as His own. So while I appreciate your zeal, the traditional Jewish view remains that one does not simply become Jewish out of personal preference, only by birth or an extremely thorough conversion process. Re enjoying and having fun - indeed! The Torah was given to the Jewish people to serve as a guiding light for all nations, so we do welcome everyone who wants to enjoy it and learn from it and find inspiration in its profound beauty and eternal wisdom. It is truly a treasure!

@@cohenliat Lets break this down a bit: Judaism was once a very much touted and inviting religion to outsiders. I am not certain about your Christian terminology of "missionary'. These Christian terms fail to describe how exactly it presented itself to outsiders - but 'missionary' fails to deliver. I certainly would never consider myself a 'missionary' though I do volunteer to explain to Christians (and others) where they misunderstand both Torah and Gospel scripture. Like I stated earlier, many decide on their own to pursue further Torah studies some to the extent of conversion and others not. I am NOT a Rabbi, nor will I ever lead others to believe so - but I grew up with Torah and I've also read the 'New Testament' and I regularly teach Torah studies in shul. I welcome anyone from any faith or background to come and learn - no false pretenses whatsoever - only the desire to learn and not debate. So, there is a personal preference involved in the conversion process. If a person wants - as I stated in an earlier post - to come to know and develop a personal relationship with G-d through proper study of Torah, then it is possible. That's all it takes, not a blood test for the Cohen marker or an in-depth study into one's past and matrilineage, but rather just a burning interest and desire to come to know G-d and His commandments. That's it. During the Roman period and before Judaism was very inviting to outsiders who presented as wanting and willing to learn. A different set of principles were adhered to then and it only came to an end when the Romans starting killing us in large numbers. That was the beginning of the end of the very inviting nature of conversions. But, by and large, more individuals converted to Judaism during that period than ever before or since. It wasn't that much different prior to that and we welcomed both visitors and converts from various religions (cip: The Book of Ruth as an example.) It is still that way in SOME countries and there seems to be an inverse correlation between countries where feminism is on the rise and rates of conversions to Judaism. Other correlations exist as well. It may be of interest to you to go back and study the rates of conversion to Judaism during and before the Roman empire and I think you will likely change your mind. Again, Rabbi Asher Meza has an entire ongoing diatribe on the subject if you are truly interested. It is generally accepted both biblically and historically that Judaism was a patrilinage society and has only recently (by contrast) changed into a matrilineage and for obvious reasons. Yes, Judaism exist as a culture AS WELL AS a religion. But what sets it apart from all other religions is its personal nature and relationship with the monotheistic G-d - not through any proxies or multi-personage process but directly with the creator through the revelations of Torah. It sounds like there may have been quite a bit missing in your past as far as your Jewish education. Perhaps now you will take the time to renew your interest and your one-on-one relationship with the creator of the universe. I encourage you to do so. Yes, it is fun!!

Thank you! I was raised by a non practicing Jewish mother. For the most part, we grew up knowing we were Jewish (or part) and not understanding what it meant. After I was born again, I was like, “oh wow!! Thank you Jesus!” Then I see what’s going on now and I’m like, “oh wow! Lord, I need to not hide but be bold for Christ and show love to the Jewish people more than ever before”!!!! Thanks for the video!!
