    What do you do when you feel NUMB about the memory but it is still impacting you? So you logically already know the reason but cannot connect at all to the old emotion?

      You are dissociated and should only work on resources at this time. Look up “peaceful place” and do not process trauma when dissociated .

    Thank you. Such a clear explanation. I have just started receiving EMDR through NHS Healthy Minds, Herefordshire. Refered to them by a hospital Pain Management clinician, as past attempts of CBT has been unsuccessful for RCT trauma. I'm hoping I see the benefits.
